Great place! Visiting Canada for the first time and we needed to find a place that could accommodate an allergy in the family. Not only did they have plenty of options, they also took extra care to assure their safety. Our waitress, Victoria, was amazing. She made sure everything was great, and even took the time to give us tips on places to see while we were in Canada. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. 100% would recommend and would return.

First time eating here. Ambience was excellent, food was delicious and service by Ariana was ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL!!!! She is definitely an asset to the team. She has to be the most professional and attentive waitress I've EVER had!! Kudos to her.

Sweet baby Jesus, this place is amazing!! The food? Absolutely delicious. The service? Spot-on. Peter is the master server with just the right amount of attentiveness and humor. I don't know what's with the bad reviews by other yelpers, this place is easily 4.5 stars if not a full 5. Every bite had me questioning my life choices up to this point... mainly why I haven't been coming here sooner. Our server kept things smooth and friendly, the atmosphere was just right, and by the end I was basically planning my next visit before the check even arrived. Highly recommend, come hungry, leave happy, maybe even a little holier.

Excellent atmosphere with lots of stonework throughout. TVs everywhere to watch the game. Friendly staff and good service. Tasty Italian wedding soup and meatballs. Large size and excellent chicken Parmesan. Soft warm bread and olive oil provided for dinner entree. The server made an error in the charge of the drinks, but they quickly fixed it once we pointed it out.

We started by ordering a Bellini off the drinks menu and we thought it was really good with great value. I ordered Johnny's Pizza with gluten free dough and was very impressed with it. The crust was great and there were lots of tasty toppings. It was big enough that one person can hardly finish it alone. My partner got the Pappardelle Rustica Pasta which included chicken and shrimp, and opted for gluten free pasta. It was pretty flavourful but the sauce was too thin to eat with a fork. We also didn't feel like it was good enough or large enough to justify the $25 price tag. As someone with gluten allergies, I really appreciated all the gluten free options on the menu. However, my experience here was really weighed down by the poor service. Our waitress rarely checked on us, and I had to ask the hostess for the bill after not seeing the waitress for around ten minutes after we finished eating. I would probably give 3.5 stars if I had the option.

Italian wedding soup, with cheese. This was really good!

Popped in for a drink with my husband last night. Pint of Guinness and glass of wine, $29 before tip. That's wild, no thanks.

KEEP…read moreIN MIND THAT THIS HOTEL IS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING RENOVATIONS AT THE TIME I WRITE THIS REVIEW. As a result, numerous disruptions and some frustrations occurred during my stay here. I was put in a suite on the 6th floor of the hotel. To start this review off on a positive note, I was happy to see that the entire floor had its renovations already completed. They look absolutely beautiful! The room was quite clean, nice, modern and spacious. The lobby, compared to the images posted here, looks a lot more welcoming and homey. The location of this hotel is cool in that there's a bowling alley and arcade attached next door! Great for those who want to have a fun night. Now I'll get into some of the problems/annoyances I encountered while here. The first one is of the elevators. This hotel has a weird elevator layout in that there is either one elevator in the lobby or at the end of the hallway where the rooms are. That's very annoying because that means when the elevators are busy, people have to wait for minutes just to go up or down. Of the annoyances that were most significant, as a result of the renovations, power was cut for a few hours and the WiFi was turned off temporarily, also for a few hours, due to upgrades. Let me be clear: these sorts of things can happen at any hotel, but it's how the hotel manages these situations that matters most. Although a notice about these events was placed at the front desk, I was not made aware of these two events happening. This was obviously a major inconvenience that could have been avoided had the hotel communicated this better, such as slipping notes under each person's hotel room door to inform such people of the disruptions. That obviously never happened so it caught me by surprise. Another major issue was the construction workers who would either take the elevators out of service, or prevent guests from using the elevators due to the equipment inside they use to renovate the hotel. Very inconvenient for guests who either stay on high floors, or need the elevator to transport equipment of any kinds! I'd certainly stay here again, but only once the renovations are complete and only if the hotel improves its communication to guests better. The hotel has the potential to be one of the best Holiday Inn hotels to stay at, it is currently going through some growing pains with the renovations right now and probably needs some management shake up to improve communication with guests.

Hubby and I often go solo or with friends to enjoy and check out new dining or wineries. Honsberger has become a fave for us. Their patio is wonderful and a good size. They have a quite large fully covered area to the side of the main building, plus then another patio area with tables that have umbrellas. Their pizza is excellent and done in an outdoor pizza oven. They do have other items (mains, salads, appetizers), that are prepared in their main kitchen. One thing we have noticed is that things are taking a bit longer in the Covid world. This is we assume due to precautions taken with cleaning etc. So -- do be patient and just enjoy. We find that they always have some interesting cocktails with their wine as a basis, and some are available in pitcher size as well as by the glass! Reservations for the patio are available via the TouchBistroDine app. You won't find them on OpenTable. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Parking is available at the back and on the side. You do need to have face masks until you get to your table.
