Tried the cherry coke float and it was alright. Also ordered the patty melt and it was nothing special. I should have tried something else. I give 2 stars for our waitress who was amazing and gave our kids a free little toy.

I wish I got our servers name, but he was amazing. The kids just wanted to get a quick bite to eat along with some shakes. We went in as a party of 8, we had to wait a little to be seated as there was birthday party just finishing up and they didnt have a table that could fit our family. We didnt mind waiting as the kids were playing games while we waited. our order was taken quiet quickly and our server was very attentive to each of us. 5 stars for their service, but I want to say 3-4 stars for their food. Their chicken strips were super dry (which I dont have a picture of, sorry), the fries were crispy, their nachos were perfect serving size and the shakes, well the kids drank up all, so I guess it was delicious, LOL... FYI: these pictures that are posted are super old, I guess I never finished my review from when these pictures were posted. Sorry....

My brother is home for the holidays, so we were hanging out one day at Ka Makana Ali'I and decided to get some lunch. He happened to notice that they have a Johnny Rockets on their property and suggested we go there. He had visited their location on the mainland in the past and loved the nostalgic feel of an old time diner. This particular location is quite fun because it's not just a restaurant. It's a Johnny Rockets Rock n Fun because there's also an arcade with games and a redemption center to win prizes. Lots of noise going on in here, so if you're looking for a quiet meal, this is not the place. I ordered the Route 66 burger that was made of Swiss cheese, grilled mushrooms, caramelized onions and mayonnaise. My brother got the Philly Cheese Steak. For our drinks, we had to get into the diner feel so we both got shakes. I got the Strawberry Oreo Crumble shake and he got the Strawberry shake. We also ordered a full order of onion rings and he got an order of chili cheese tater tots. The burgers do not come with fries, so if you want fries, you'll either need to order a side order of fries or order a full order like we did to share. First off, I couldn't believe how long it took for our food to arrive. I think it took about 30 minutes for the onion rings and chili cheese tater tots to arrive and then another 10 minutes or so for the burgers to arrive. It was not busy at all, so we were quite surprised by this. When seeing other customers get their orders later on, they received theirs much faster. There was never anything said about what was taking so long or some kind of update about how much longer it would take to get our food. The strawberry shakes were pretty good as there are actual bits of real strawberries in them. If you've got a sweet tooth, I'd recommend it. Go with the Deluxe Strawberry Oreo shake that costs a little bit more, but is worth the addition of Oreo crumbles in your shake. The onion rings were also good. They currently have regular onion rings that have the crumbles on them or the beer battered onion rings that have a smooth exterior. I'm not sure if they usually have beer battered ones because there's a special Christmas menu that they are on. I personally like crumbly coated onion rings, so I went with the regular. These are worth getting as they are pretty hefty/crunchy and don't just wilt on you within minutes as some places can do. Everything else was just alright. Definitely not worth the cost and the long wait. Service was super friendly. There was only one server, but man was he a bubbling ball of energy and delight! He even gave us a peppermint ball at the end to wish us a good day. Just for his friendliness, I gave another star for this review. Had this place been busy, I honestly don't know how he would have been able to handle it all, though. We took a quick tour of the arcade before we left. These machines don't give out tickets (as I think most arcades don't these days). You just swipe your card and if it's a game that would produce tickets, then it just adds the amount of 'tickets' you won to your card. There's a good variety of video games, 'ticket' producing games and a merry-go-round ride. Quite honestly though...with all the other food options at Ka Makana Ali'i, I wouldn't choose to come here again. If it was just a restaurant, I don't see how they would manage to stay in business. I think the arcade is the draw with a food establishment in it.

My diet coke and my boyfriend's lava flow

My boyfriend and I are here for lunch. He ordered the hot wings and I got the Philly cheese steak sandwich. It was good. I tried my boyfriend's wings and it was good also. To drink I had a diet Coke and he had the lava flow. This drink was good and you can hardly taste the alcohol. I would definitely like this to drink next time. Service was good although our server forgot to give me a refill before we were about to leave. Overall it was pleasant. Ambiance was nice. It's attached to a game room. I also noticed a bar in the middle of the game room. Pretty cool if you want an alcoholic drink. I would come back to eat here

Terrible food. Terrible service, Milkshake was good. Ambiance is quasi epileptic. Awful experience. Don't come. After we both ate one bite of our burgers, we looked at each other and said, "This is disgusting," and, "I'm not eating THIS." Then we told the waitress. She gave a 15% discount but made us pay for the inedible food. Bad. Bad. Bad. Poor service, I had to go into the kitchen to get our own silverware after calling for help loudly for 5 min after our food was delivered. Burgers served on a plate the size of the burger. Literally, a tiny plate, like a coffee cup saucer. I just cannot express how awful this eexperience was for us both.

Came here with a large group. I had no idea you could drink here! But hey, fun for adults and children! Junk that they don't serve individual pizzas. Only while pizzas and this flat bread that I turned into a pizza. The sauce on it was really disgusting. Tasted like tomato paste. The burger was very delicious though. Nicely cooked and put together! I really enjoyed the burger. Chicken strips and fries were pretty regular. What upset me was the price is ridiculously high! Customer service was good but they did lack employees and needed help with tending to customers and keeping track of people coming in and going. But they did their best with the little help they had and the amount of people that was there. The games were also very expensive! $50 was gone after 4 games! That's crazy to me! Please make the games cheaper since the food is already so expensive! It is loud in here with all the games and children but that's expected. Fun place to go with kids and friends. Just be prepared to spend a huge chunk of change!

Took junior to play some games and grab a quick lunch while we were there. The price for his food wasn't too bad and it came with a drink, that's not pictured. Considering, the last time we got food here was shortly after they just opened and the food was not the greatest but decided to give it a try again, so he could eat and continue playing games. Surprisingly enough, the burgers and fries tasted good, and he loved it. He loves burgers and fries. But i didn't realize you had to pay extra for cheese on his burger, which I don't have a problem paying for but they didn't tell me, I had to pay extra when they asked if I wanted it like the picture. I gave it 4 stars just because I had to clean the table before we sat down. Like most places, they don't have the staff to keep up with everything going on there. Will be back for more games and a snack in the future.

The Original Burger: comes fully furnished; I added mushrooms for a little more - ono!

=== VERDICT/VALUE This location seems to have some sort of kids' arcade with prizes available - we arrived on a quiet afternoon and the lights were off in most of the restaurant. My guess is that this could be a good kid-friendly place once the pandemic lifts and it's worth a return visit. In the meantime, the food and value are good - if you can live with the heart attack from the cholesterol ;) === 2. FOOD Note: things are offer a la carte; you need to pay extra if you want fries, salad, etc. with your burger! The Original Burger: with lettuce, tomato, onions, relish, pickles, mustard, and mayo. I added mushrooms, and it worked out well :) The Hawaiian Teriyaki Burger: similarly decked out, but it includes a slice of pineapple and teriyaki sauce instead of mustard - tasty! Cheese Tots: if you're not putting chili or bacon on them, cheese would be the minimum to include and it tastes as good as it sounds! Strawberry Shake: simply strawberry, simply delightful! === 3. SERVICE & ENVIRONMENT The restaurant was mostly closed (with the upcoming pandemic? There was no cleaning occurring) - so being one of only two tables occupied, we were served well. Small and large groups fit well in herem as would wheelchairs and strollers. Parking is plentiful in the Ka Mankana Ali'i parking lot.

Our server informed us that it had been off and on for the past week, but went down since Friday. Not good for only being open for a year. They only had appetizers and salads, along with their bar, which offers a wide range of beers and wine by the glass, along with cocktails. Since we were technically "working", that had to wait for another time. Our server, Erin, was so nice and apologetic, even tho it wasn't her fault. For obvious reasons it was fairly slow, for a normal Sunday lunch crowd. Since we were pressed for time, we ended up just ordering a couple of appetizers; the sausage bites and chicken. They were both tempura style battered, and served with sauce or mustard on the side. The sausage had a slight spice to it, which was nice, and it was served piping hot pot of the fryer. A fork would've been nice, but they were small enough to eat by hand, but be careful, because they're pretty tough to bite thru. The chicken bites were smaller and easier to handle, although they were a bit dry, so the ranch furikake dipping sauce helped. We were out within 20 minutes, so very fast, and I'm hoping the griddle gets repaired soon, so I can try their burgers.

The ambience was okay, though it didn't quite stand out as much as I had hoped. The food was a mixed bag. The fish sandwich was overcooked and seemed to rely mostly on panko breadcrumbs for flavor rather than seasoning. The smash burger was good, but the patties weren't smashed thin enough to really deliver the crispy texture that makes a great smash burger. The coconut fried shrimp also tasted like a frozen product rather than something made fresh in-house. On the positive side, the pork tacos were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. They were flavorful, well-prepared, and showed what the kitchen is capable of when everything comes together. Overall, 808 Craft House delivered an average dining experience. While there were a few disappointments, the pork tacos helped redeem the meal. I'd consider coming back, but I'd likely skip some of the items I tried this visit.

Parking was good, and the overall vibe was chill, though it did get a bit noisy. The biggest issue was the condition of the restaurant. The place felt pretty run down. The floors were very dirty, the seats were torn and patched with electrical tape, and the windows were so dirty that we actually thought the restaurant had shut down one day when we were walking by. The bathrooms were also pretty gross, even for a casual bar/restaurant. I wanted to like it more because the food itself was good, but the cleanliness and upkeep really took away from the experience. They definitely need to do a better job maintaining the place. I'd probably only return if I heard they had cleaned up and refreshed the entire restaurant.

A "regular" burger comes with two good‑size patties, so already winning. I loaded mine with mayo, lettuce, mushrooms, and cheese -- yup, that's a real burger right there Fries taste like homemade, and trust me, the small is plenty. And of course, Coke products... it's the real thing. Definitely coming back for the Milk Shake. The cashier Mylin great help walked me through a first timer order lol gentleman in the black so so kind Marie

My wife and I stopped by for a hamburger this afternoon. We ordered a cheeseburger, a hamburger,…read moremedium order of fries and a chocolate shake for my wife. I opted for no drink as I am on a low calorie diet and do not like all the processed ingredients in diet soda. The staff was very nice and responsive, but after getting a few bites into the burger, which was very dry, I needed some water. I went back to the counter and I told the young lady who had taken my order that I needed a cup of water. She told me that they had run out of cups for complementary water, so I asked her what I should do and suggested that restaurants were obligated by law to provide water when requested. ( I subsequently have found out that this is surprisingly not true here in Hawaii) she said she would check with her manager. A young man came back and asked if he could help. I explained I was trying to get a cup of water. He said they do not provide complimentary water so I again suggested my inaccurate legal argument. He said he would get the manager. At this point based on the sales girl's comment I assumed he was the manager, so I was surprised. Now another employee showed up and asked if she could help and I said I am just trying to get a cup of water. She seemed pretty upset that I had used my legal argument on the prior employees. I protested and she said " if you would have simply asked for a cup of water... the law in Hawaii does not require us to provide water. I told her I did ask both prior employees first for a cup of water before I mentioned my legal argument, but she walked away and when I repeated that I had "asked for a cup of water first" and she backed away and said "you are making me uncomfortable!" I responded that as a manager she should be able to discuss an issue with a customer. At this point she said she was going to call security so I said fine and went back to my lunch with my wife. I am 73 years old and have never been refused a cup of water in a restaurant of any type. What deplorable customer service. I was needless to say very upset and the incident has affected me for the last several hours. Sorry for the lengthy rant but I thought potential customers needed to know
