Cute breakfast place breakfast the mall. If u get the pancakes, u must get the coconut syrup as well. It's soooooo good. I see why they use paper plates and disposable utensils as a business but I hate eating my runny eggs on a paper plate. The only thing that they have different from other breakfast restaurants is their coconut syrup. And they will give u like 2 small containers so ur not gonna be able to get your big back on lol

Stopped by Koa Pancake House in Kapolei and had such a good experience. There were three of us, but we ordered different things and shared. We got the banana pancakes, corned beef hash moco, and Vinha D'Alhos. All were comforting, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a local breakfast spot. We ordered five pancakes thinking we'd finish them but only made it through three. The aunty at the counter knew better and served it in a to-go container. She even brought us extra plates because she knew we were going to share everything. That kind of thoughtfulness really stood out. She asked if we wanted the corned beef hash crispy and of course we said yes! The banana pancakes were hot, soft, fluffy, and not overly sweet. The Vinha D'Alhos was hearty and satisfying, perfect tang alongside the pancakes. The aunty working the counter was filled with aloha, and it was obvious she was adored by both the staff and other patrons. They were in the middle of cleaning when we arrived, but it didn't hinder our experience at all. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and we genuinely had a good time. This place feels like one of those spots where you're treated like family. Definitely coming back.

Ate a here couple times in the past but haven't been here in a long time. Went right at opening with barely anyone dining in. Order and pay at the counter then choose your seats. Ordered a loco moco with guava juice, eggs, portuguese sausage and fried rice with pineapple juice. Food came out pretty quick and delicious breakfast. Eggs cooked to perfection. Just enough portion to eat all at once without any leftovers. Service was also good.

When my relatives came to visit and asked where we liked to eat breakfast, this was the first place I thought of. Parking: There is free parking, but it does get filled up fast. Plan ahead for that. Location: they are at at the end of Kapolei Marketplace next to Supercuts. Its no frills, casual, walk in kind of place. Nothing fancy, but it's definitely filling. Things to know: it is first come first serve. The tables get taken quickly, but usually by the time you order, a table opens. Just be prepared to get it as takeout. Food: this place has something for everyone. The got sweet, they got savory and they the usual breakfast staples. My kids usually get the pancakes. What I usually get is the Vinha D'alhos with rice. Just writing about it makes me hungry. Its this marinated pork that fried. It has a tangy vinegar and shoyu taste and it's so good with rice. Anyway, so I brought my relative here. I ordered the Vinha D'alhos for her. She took a bite and her eyes lit up. She said it tasted so good. She ended going back another day for more. This is one of those places you can come in and have a quick casual breakfast. No frills, but delicious. We love coming here because it's close by but we have visited other locations.

Love all their food all the time. Can't beat the prices and flavors and speed of service. The whole family loves it! Pancakes, waffles, fried rice, burritos, and those potatoesssss. Never had a bad plate.

We walked in on a busy morning (it's always busy) cause the food is so amazing!! Ordered our food and while sitting and waiting in great anticipation, since this is one of my favorite spots to come iykyk. While sitting and waiting, I noticed there were dust on the walls and ants were crawling on the wall as well. I absolutely love koa pancake House and I will definitely be back many many times again and again, but I just wanted to draw to your attention those two things and for tourists who tend to be a little freaky about that stuff don't let it bother you and order the food anyway you won't be disappointed

Needed a sweet pick me up after dropping off our daughter at school. What we got was a simple and rather peaceful and serene diner feel experience. My husband and I went in for breakfast early in the morning and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food was tasty as we ordered the breakfast plates of Vienna sausage over easy eggs and fried rice as well as bacon with over easy eggs and fried rice. Splitting the strawberry cheesecake short-stack was well the icing on the pancake. Absolutely delicious and I wholeheartedly recommend. To top everything off the service we received was warm and friendly serving us our water and enjoying nice conversation.

Good comfort food, can be a long wait when it's busy. The restaurant can be quite packed so we usually opt for takeout which is a long wait as well. Prices can be hefty for fairly simple food.

I came here after hearing my cousin said it was a go to. It wasn't too busy here and it was a chill environment. Ordering at the counter was quick. We ordered the Portuguese sausage, eggs and rice breakfast and a breakfast burrito. The food took a while to come out. I came with one other person and once my food finally came out, the other dish didn't come out for about 10 more minutes. The food was just ok to me, but maybe I should have ordered pancakes. I forgot to take a picture of the breakfast burrito once it finally came out. I will be back again to try the pancakes.

Koa Pancake House is a staple childhood memory for my sis and I. Our parents and grandparents used to take us to this place all the time. So it was a treat to come back to one of the locations during a family trip. I had to order the corn beef hash with eggs and buttermilk pancakes. I also got to try to the corn beef hash Loco Moco that my sis had and the macadamia nut pancakes. Everything was cooked perfectly. It was genuinely a good home cooked breakfast. The pancakes were soft and fluffy. The Macademia pancakes had a good natty flavor. The inside of this Koa Pancake house was small, but could accommodate a fair amount of people. This location is located in an outside mall and opens earlier than the other stores. The servers were very nice. They did forget one of our sides but they were able to make a quick fix to it. But I give them credit because on the day we went, the place was packed. I recommend this spot for the good food and the good prices. I also think this spot is for families. There were a lot of kids and they def. enjoyed the pancakes from this place.

This is located conveniently at the Ka Makana Ali'i mall. There was no wait on a Wednesday morning at 7 am. You ordered at the counter, then grab a seat. Do not grab a table before ordering - a big no no. I ordered eggs, sausages, and macadamia nuts pancakes. Way too much food. Everything was delicious; however, not all the food came out together. I was waiting for my pancakes, and by the time they came out, my eggs were cold. It's a little disappointing. The portion was huge. I could not finish. I would return again if I am in town.

Good solid experience with nice food and nice ambiance and decent service…read more Caesar salad was good and fresh 9/10. Siamin was maybe my favorite dish, smokey the noodles extra al dente and the pork was flavorful 9.5/10. Pesto Gnocchi was pillowy and soft and the pesto sauce was light and flavorful and was one of the few vegetarian options. I would get again 8/10. Side of broccoli was spicy and zesty 9/10. Cocktails were also very nice way to start. It's a tradition to always hit the minkeypod when in hawaii and will continue. Don't forget the pies! Overall, definitely a touristy vibe but pretty good quality overall.

Came here while staying at Aulani. We weren't too hungry yet and mainly got appetizers and drinks…read moreduring happy hour. Majority of the appetizers we got were good. - truffle fries..well...their truffle fries and cant really go wrong - taro dumplings (i forgot if thats what we got but they were good but not blown away either) - corn chowder was good - brisket pesto pizza? (Im overdue with the review so forgot what pizza it exactly was) but i remember this was good. It was in the happy hour menu is all i can remember. - wings but unsure about the goat cheese dip. I prefer plain ranch - the kids pasta was good. Well, one kiddo loved it while the other didn't. So it depends on preferences on this one. I will say i did taste it and it was meh... - another kiddo got the shoyu noodles and its plain. So if you got a simple palate plain jane child, they will like this one. For drinks, it depends on taste and preferences. I was bummed on this one. Mainly looking fwd to the drinks and it didn't satisfy my tastebuds. It was too twisted, fusion, modified etc. i prefer a mai tai a plain old fashioned mai tai without the fixings. The orange foam was too strong it overwhelmed the dark rum im used to and prefer. So i decided to try the ube rey instead which was much better but still not as much to my liking/preferences. Went back to Aulani a but bummed and decided to get another at Aulani the next day instead and I will say, i liked it better as it followed the more traditional way of making it. So if you prefer traditional ways, this may not be for you and if planning to drink, simply keep with the simplier generic drinks, wine or beer. If you prefer to try different ways and flavors, then you will love this. Service was great and our server was attentive at all times. Thank you. Ambiance was good but outdoor seating may be a bit of a nuance due to flies swarming around you often. The swinging table fan helps but are still annoying plus the tropical heat also didn't help.

PROS: This location offers a brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday. We ordered Bruleed French Toast…read moreand Fried Chicken and Waffles Benedict. Both orders were more normal-sized portions and slightly cheaper than the normal entrees. The Bruleed French Toast was light and fluffy, with a decent amount of custard flavor. The Fried Chicken and Waffles Benedict came with two quarters of belgian waffles with two chicken tenders on each. The chicken tenders were very juicy and the hollandaise sauce added the perfect richness. There's also a butterscotchy syrup which went surprisingly well with the chicken and hollandaise sauce. The staff are friendly and we got seated almost immediately. We went at 11:30am, right before the crowds. Our server Tommy was very attentive to us checking in with us multiple times and even after we paid the check. We were hoping to get a second serving of bread, but our entrees arrived really fast. So by the time we finished our entrees, we told Tommy to cancel the second order of bread since we got too full. Tommy was nice enough to add bread to our to-go bag! There's also tons of free parking at Kamakana Alii! So it's not as stressful of a time as the Waikiki location. So far, I've never had to hunt for parking when I come here. CONS: The brunch portions are more "normal entree" size, but I kinda wish they were a little more elegantly plated. No real garnishes other than a sprig of mint on the french toast. The waffles were quite mid, but everything on top really saved it. My Fried Chicken and Waffles came with a side of fries which were room temp by the time we got it. The free bread was also cold and the sourdough loaf was pretty tough to chew. We must've gotten the last pieces of the batch and were hoping to get fresher bread. We also wanted to order the Chicken Parmesan Pizza Style, but realized that neither Hawaii locations serve it. That was really disappointing and most likely there are other items on the normal menu that aren't available in Hawaii. OVERALL: I much prefer this location over the Waikiki location. Parking is plentiful, staff are attentive and we haven't had to wait to be seated. Service is fast and friendly and the food was pretty good. Bread freshness is a hit or miss, but we've liked the entrees available. I wish they offered the complete Cheesecake Factory menu, but I'm not surprised that things are different in Hawaii.
