Even with the selection around the Food Court and all Sands properties: Venetian, Palazzo, Expo; I still end up here. They lowered their prices since. Ambiance still has that old timey diner feel from the 40's, 50's, and 60's Americana. Clean, organized, friendly service, speedy performance from staff. Not much wait at any given time; even with a busy rush. Whether you're a local, tourist, regular, or first timer, you should make a trip to eat a good old fashioned burger and fries here. Speakers are far away enough from rest of the Grand Bazaar to play their own music and vibe. The signage and lighting is welcoming and interesting. Open bar tops and comfortable stools to eat right at the business front where you can see your food being made. Overflow can sit in the center of the FC. They have cool decor with the throwback jukebox selection books and buttons. The bold and script dated lettering, large menu at main register, the red accents. Even if you're not hungry, it's cool to look at, but by that time, the craving hits you, you're going to order. Chairs are comfy and rotate, even better than some of the seating at the casinor resort areas. Well maintained, not a crazy amount of damage. Condiments are easy to see and manage. If any help is needed, employees are more than eager to accommodate and assist in whatever they can help you with. I've had experiences at other spots or previous management and crew were it wasn't even the standard. Very impressed at the upkeep. Food is cooked well and quickly. Quality of ingredients, are choice. Crunchy lettuce, juicy crispy burger, bacon is savory. Presentation in the bag is organized and neat everytime. A bang for your buck! Especially for the summer time when your family and those rascal kids work up an appetite. Affordable even at a fancy cushy Las Vegas Resort property. Not too salty or overdone, I can eat here fast and work, or just slow and vibe out and forget I'm at a convention or job, or smoked at the casino floor! I can recommend anything on the menu. The restaurant was clean and full still considering the time. While the pricing is high for this type of food, it's not the highest and only slightly elevated off a normal Johnny Rockets. Went to the location in Mandalay Bay and the one in Excalibur and would NEVER go back to another Johnny rockets. They are so expensive in there. Got lunch at Excalibur 2 hamburgers no fries just 2 regular burgers plain cost $44. Not even good burgers. So next day at Mandalay Bay got 2 Milkshakes (didn't want to spend $44) cost was $21.65 and that was with a 50% coupon buy one get 50% off second one. Just regular vanilla shakes. Stayed at the Excalibur, and it was the easiest food to grab after the club at 2 a.m. I got the cheeseburger meal that only comes with fries. I added a regular soft drink, and it was $30.28. That's so insane, but when you're hungry, you just have to pay the price. Overall, the burger was legit, but I had to pull out the thick-cut raw onion. I wished the fries were hotter and less room temperature. I would definitely recommend you ask them for fresh, hot, and more crispy fries. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Incredibly unpleasent staff. Avoid at all costs unless it's literally the only thing open... We ordered 90$ worth of food to eat-in at 5.40am after a night out. They processed our order with no issue. 15 minutes later they give us the food in to-go bags and started telling us we can't eat in and that we have to leave immediately. There seems to be a Johnny Rockets in every casino food court in Vegas! We ate at the one in Excalibur which was conveniently located off the Royal Tower elevators so it was close to our room. First off, I will say it was not cheap. I ordered two meals and a milkshake and it was $40. That being said, the food was hot, fresh, and tasted good. Johnny Rockets is a "morning gem" for business folks staying in the Excalibur. At least during our week stay, they were mostly wide open in the early morning from 7 to 9 or so. Just down the hall, 40 people would be lined up for the coffee store, while Johnny's was completely empty. So each morning we'd stop in for reasonably priced (for a Vegas hotel) cup of coffee - which isn't all that bad. In fact, it was better coffee than that long-line coffee cart down the hall with a one-star review. They also make pretty decent breakfast sandwiches - we tried one on one visit there - pretty good. The breakfast plates I saw come out also looked good - no better or worse than any other breakfast you'd find in such a hotel. The best thing for us was the location - right near the Resort Tower where we'd come down from our room, restrooms right there in the hall not 100 feet away, and the Uber pickup zone of the Royal Tower right there as well. If you're looking for a quiet place to have a cup of morning coffee before hitting the convention center or whatever you plan to do, you can do a lot worse than Johnny Rockets. No idea what their other food fare is like - we didn't try anything but the sausage biscuit and coffee - but it was good enough to keep us coming back each morning. read more
