If only zero was possible. To start you walk in the establishment is dirty. Dust,crumbs, and flies. SO MANY. Cooks aren't wearing hair nets, beard nets, or even gloves, cooks are also eating and drinking while making customers food with dirty cups all around the service and prep areas. First, they only had two people working, which really slowed down the entire process. It's bizarre that business owners don't anticipate the weekend rush--probably their busiest time for outlet shoppers--and yet, there was no table service. I saw four different families walk in and then leave because they didn't want to wait just to place an order. The staff was doing the best they could with what they had, and surprisingly, the place was clean despite only two employees working. Secondly, they were out of so many items--simple things from the menu. The phrase "We don't have it" must have been said at least four times while I was dining in. Most of the food wasn't bad at all, though. The burger and cheesesteak were really good, but I'd pass on the cheese fries. Since I'm just visiting, this location is a one-and-done for me. read more

First time at the place we went in with high expectations and my mother who spoke her mind in the restaurant about how poor the service and food was, the manager confronted. My mother saying that an employee brought to his attention that my mom was running her mouth. The manager started screaming at my mother then it was nobody's not the customers business how he runs his store my mother and my father told them to leave them alone countless times and continued to scream and curse and when we left flipped off his customers. Food was absolutely disgusting. We got our burgers and and they were soggy and falling apart. They also have no bathrooms for a price they charge like that customers were told to be walking blocks away to use the bathroom . This is such a great location but they are located inside of the Crossings Outlet mall and have 1/2 the regular menu!! They do not have table service and half of their dining room is closed. They have 3 outdoor tables (shared with Dunkin'). No place to tip when using credit! Normally I would understand because they're not full service (at fast food restaurants this is the norm). However, this is not fast food/ it took a long time to cook & the cashier ended up bringing the food to our table. I didn't have any cash! I'm able to tip at a full service location! I want to be able to take care of the staff at every location! This is why I am giving this location 3 stars. The staff was amazing . We'll be back because of the customer service. read more

I tried this spot despite all the negative reviews because I love JR and I promised my son a shake on our vacation. I expected the worst but was pleasantly surprised. Jordan was at the cash register and she was efficient, friendly, and got our slightly picky order exactly right! The place looked clean and neat. There were only 2 females working. One taking orders and one cooking them. They had a sign up about the staff shortage and being patient but, there was no delay. I was served promptly and the food was not a long wait. Now, the food.... that's why the stars... the service was 4.5-5 stars. Jordan made our shakes and they were tasty. The chili fries were good but needed a bit more cheese (but I am a cheese lover). The burgers were unfortunately dry but the lettuce tomato etc was fresh. The kids mini burgers had to be on a regular roll cause I'm guessing they were out of the Hawaiian rolls? That kid's burger was better than the smokehouse or the Rocket. I'm wondering if the staff shortage had something to do with that. Like maybe the burgers were sitting cooked to save on time. I won't be back during this stay, but, it was a solid experience. I'm sure they would have be fine with a burger remake we just didn't have the time. When we walked in a young lady (filling up condiments) did not acknowledge us a party of 4. Waited 8 minutes to be acknowledged at our table by our waitress Ashlynn, she did apologize, she was friendly, have in mind resturant has only 6 tables inside and a couple outside. We ordered a vanilla shake, taste like old fashion shake. Very yummy. My husband ordered the Rocket single with bacon cheese fries and I ordered the smoke house with onion rings. Food was fresh and warm. Our total came to $30. A manager came over to a table to clean it off and washed everything to the floor, never cleaned the floor up. The service was the worst I've experienced from any food chain. Spent $70 and the quality of food was below a Wendy's or McDonald's, in fact would've had better food there for a quarter of the costs. Had to request new fries but still disgusting old oil. Manager was at the location and rude! The cashier messed up our he did nothing to rectify it said the cashier didn't ring it up correctly! So far, I ordered the spicy Houston burger with a shake and fries. $15.35. While it reminds me of a McDonald's with a bar front to eat at, and is served on trays, it does have a unique feel. Food? Johnny Rockets kinda let me down. I had high expectations but sadly my meal just wasn't that great. I ordered an original burger with turkey as my choice of meat. I opted to get bottomless fries for $2 more. The fries were great but definitely needed salt on them as there was no seasoning. The burger was really a buzzkill. The meat tasted strange to me... I couldn't help but to wonder if I was even given the right thing. Everything else on the burger was alright. It was drenched in sauces which did make it pretty messy to eat. I tried a sip of my boyfriend's chocolate/peanut butter shake. It was pretty good, tasted just like a Reese's peanut butter cup in liquid form. Service was great. Our server was super nice, attentive, and able to answer all of our questions. I wish all servers could be like her! The restaurant itself is very tiny. There is only one large booth. So, if you're with a big group, this probably isn't the best place to go. All other seating is either high top tables for two or tables for four. We were seated at a high top table which was RIGHT next to the bathroom. Yuck! One last note - I noticed a parent going to the bathroom with their infant child. When I went to the bathroom, I realized there was no changing table in there. I couldn't help but to think how difficult this must have been for the parent. How can you mess up a burger and fries? Just ask Johnny Rockets. Good things first: Our attendant was nice and perhaps even over obsequious. The chocolate shake was extremely good. Bad things: my wife and both got the original, fries and chocolate shake. The burger tasted dry and pre-cooked. The fries tasted like they were a day old and reheated in a microwave...chewy and thick with old oil. It was very expensive at $36 and a Waste of calories. I eat burgers and fries all the time at McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, Mighty Fine, Stop and Go and I am not picky...I love them all. This was just bad...the only thing that gets them the two stars was the the great chocolate shake and pleasant service. They did get our order wrong twice however. Fries not delivered with the meal. Then only one order of fries delivered...then we finally got our second order. We did eat most of it. Threw away some fries and some of the bun. read more

She had the nastiest attitude I've ever witnessed to customers. we are very quickly noticed after sitting down that she was only smiling and kind to those who were the same race as she was. She was incredibly rude to anyone who was different. She was extremely rude and snotty when we asked simple questions like "do you have ranch" and we were snapped at that they only have ketchup, but this was seemingly common question for a RESTAURANT to me. on top of the terrible customer service, the food was burned. The chicken tenders were an edible a hotdog looked like it had been a left over from a few days ago. The tables were disgusting. I feel as if the options are limited for eating at the Crossings Premium Outlets so Johnny Rockets has a monopoly in the sit down restaurant department in this shopping mall. I had never been to one of these before so this was my first time, but my husband's second time experiencing the chain. The place itself is small so if there is a line, you may be standing outside the door. There is decent seating as well as outdoor seating if that's what you fancy. I ordered their basic burger, my husband got some fancy bacon burger and we got 2 chicken tender kid's meals. My husband did the ordering and when he asked the lady at the register what the options were for kid's drinks her response was "whatever we have behind me". The drink machine is located out of view so that answer to the question was kinda lazy. She was also very slow at the register and it took kind of long for the food to come out...not as speedy as the name of the establishment suggests. Be prepared for that. The burgers were pretty good so I can't complain there. The service was just crappy. The only reason I gave this place 3 stars is because the burger was very tasty. And we also got 2 Chocolate Peanut Butter milkshakes which were awesome which brought up my star level for this joint. The milkshake was probably the highlight. It was a bit thick, but delicious. Friendly attentive service from when you enter to taking your order through your meal. This location is new but very small so you will have to wait during rush. You get the usual burgers but the buns they are serve on are pretty good. The cheddar bacon fries are very cheesy. Very bright and clean as well as seating outside when weather permits. They also serve huge salads for the non carnivores among the group. Well organized especially for a small place packed full of diners, good job by the staff. read more

Johnny Rockets...express? This JR is very unlike the others I've been to, but it's the first I've been to on the east coast. Having lived in California for quite some time, maybe I'm used to a very different presentation at Johnny Rockets. On the west coast, they're set up sort of like a 1950's joint, beverages are served in glass, and meals are served on plates. They also give a small dish with a ketchup smiley face to accompany your fries. But at this location, a tray was brought out, burger wrapped in paper, fries in a cardboard boat, drinks in paper cups. Not unacceptable, just different from what I know of JR. This is a very small location, so that might make it difficult to pull off the '50's vibe. There were only three people working at lunch time, one at the counter, and two in the kitchen, all engaged in a discussion about The Walking Dead. The food was really not bad, but it did seem different than what is served out west, and by that I mean not quite as good and I can't really put my finger on why. I brought someone who had never been to a JR before and I don't feel it lived up to the hype I gave it going in. Everything was cooked properly but didn't taste the same as I'm used to. The staff was friendly and quickly fixed a mix-up with the order, and service was very quick overall. 2 star rating says "Meh. I've experienced better." 3 star rating says "A-OK." I've experienced better for JR, so 2 stars it is. It's not terrible and if you're craving a burger while already shopping at this outlet mall and have never tried Johnny Rockets, it's worth a shot, if you don't mind the price, but I would not go out of my way to eat there primarily and shop the outlets as collateral. read more
