Scotrun diner is a pretty good find. Clean. Very friendly staff. It definitely looks like 1977 in there, but don't let it scare you. The food is pretty good overall. Portions are large. I got a breakfast sandwich with bacon $8, and potato's on the side. I was happy. I hoped for thinly sliced potato's on the grille, but they didn't have that. No big deal. This is a good spot for a family breakfast that won't break the bank.

When my wife and I take a road trip, we always take an exit halfway to our destination and look for a local diner. Well, we chose wisely this time. Friendly, welcoming service, comfortable seating and atmosphere, plus really good food. We left the diner feeling great.

My family and I have been coming to Scotrun since the 90s. Obviously, they got something good going on here. The service is impeccable. We've been both for breakfast and lunch mostly breakfast and have tried a variety of menu items. The food is always delicious and tasty. I don't believe we have ever had any complaints. We will definitely keep returning to this establishment and I suggest you do too!

My girlfriend and I went here while on a weekend vacation at the poconos and was looking for a nice place to eat breakfast, and this diner was really good! The staff is very friendly & welcoming. The menu is smaller than the typical diner menu but their food is really good! Best corn beef hash I've ever had, and the pancakes were amazing also! My girlfriend has the French toast with scrambled eggs and she loved it! Only thing I didn't like was the sausage, it had a weird taste to it and I didn't like it, but other than that, this place is really good!

This place had the best reviews in the area. The staff were nice and polite. The food was well made and the cheese cake was wonderful!

Our server was Sienna, (not sure if that was spelled right), and she was extremely attentive to us and very patient with our group. We ordered their salmon with a side of mashed potatoes and broccoli, Chicken Française with a side of potato wedges, a side salad, Grilled cheeses with french fries for the kids, tuna melt, cheese curds, and a sandwich off their special menu I can't remember the name. The sandwiches came with bagged kettle cooked chips! I wasn't able to picture everything because everyone had mostly scoffed their food down immediately. Lol. Definitely recommend their brownie sundae for dessert, with their Double Dunker ice cream! SO GOOD! I also included a video of one of our rowdy kiddos having a good time with her food! Super worth it dining experience, I will say there is absolutely no signal to use your cellphone, so more family bonding haha. This place is amazing and would definitely come back.

I went in there with my family. The service was fast at first. Then, I ended up waiting for refills On coffee asked for to go container waited on that didn't even have time to get another cup of coffee. Because one of us had to go to work right up the street I might add. So I get up from my table to go get container while i'm on my way to get it, the waitress finally brings it.I ask her for her to go cup of coffee. They proceed to charge me for the to go cup of coffee after being slow Poured for the coffee I already bought and needing to leave to go to work. So I said, No, nevermind proceeded to pay the check and still tip the server 20%. But then I told the server and the owner, how I felt the owner was mostly silent. And the server started yelling and berating me in front of customers. Tells me we deal with tourists all day,We can't give out free cups of coffee when I already paid for the coffee. And I'm not a tourist, I've lived here for 50 years. Then, she starts hitting me with the bro. I don't need your money bro. In that racist tone, when people intentionally call you bro, because you're black, all of this in front of the owner who continued to allow her to speak to me this way.She says, I put my kids through with this i don't need your money bro. So I removed my tip and left the restaurant never to return. This is how they feel about paying customers. This is how they feel about locals. It's a tourist trap that's overpriced. And they don't even like you, when you're giving them your money. Edited: I know, bro is not always a racist term. I know it's used otherwise, but it's the context and the way that it was said. And even if it wasn't racist, it was disrespectful. If somebody says whatever bro to you, they 're telling you to go f yourself. But in this situation, that is not the context. It was intentional, and when she was called on it, she doubled down. If she didnt mean disrespect she wouldn't of repeated it.! I did it the first day and good was awful. So I looked to a good place to eat outside the Resort. So I found Barley Creek Restaurant. Katie was our waiter for the Saturday morning breakfast. The breakfast was amazing! And the service impeccable! I have never eaten such a good breakfast at such a good price in a vacation location. We came back for dinner the same day. They were packed and looked overwhelmed with the amount of customers. There was a 45min wait time but is was worth it. Just a little hiccup with the special ST Patrick special dish, the Hawaiian Walu, that came with orzo instead of risotto but the chef himself cane out of the kitchen apologizing and bringing to my wife a properly cooked risotto. Very professional and very much appreciated. The manager was very helpful again when my sons burgers came with the wrong cheese, and she took care of it herself! Thank you very much for a great experience! We will be back at lunch on Sunday. We really want to try out the lunch menu before leaving the Resort. Great job! Exceptional restaurant!

There's a drink to-go section and a gift shop section. The bar is a decent size. The ipa is good. The Strawberry Rose drink is not great. Would not order again. Menu said 7.50 but we were charged $11 for it. It's non-alcoholic. Sooo not worth it. Definitely do not recommend it. To start, we ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Burger. It's $22 and SO worth it. It's juicy and flavorful. This is the best cheesesteak burger we have had! Better than most cheesesteak sandwiches lol. Would definitely order again. The potatoes were also good / like potato chips. Nicely salted. For a dessert type dish - we ordered the Oreo stuffed French toast. We would not order this again nor recommend. It did not look like the pictures displayed around (of course!). The Oreo part of it was delicious. The French toast itself was on the dry side and tough to cut through / figure like cutting through stale bread. Otherwise, it would have been delicious. Did not need syrup as it was definitely sweet enough already. Our server, Tony, was very friendly, social, and attentive. Great service. 10/10 I also ended up buying a sweatshirt. It caught my eye lol. Next time we're in the area, we would try the French Onion Burger. :) And maybe some brunch items.

Most of the food we had was good or very good. Our server was very nice and provided great service. She even handled the issue that makes this a 3 Star Review very well. The Manager did too. But if you're a respected chophouse, you can't get a steak wrong three times in a row. Frogtown offers a signature mixed grill experience that has a 16 ounce strip, a lobster tail, a crab cake, a few sides (whipped potatoes, long strips of carrots and delicious garlicky mushrooms). It's over $100, but really a pretty good value with all you get. My wife and I decided to split this. I ordered the steak medium rare, which is important to the review. The lobster tail was very good. The crab cake was meaty and good. The carrots were a highlight. The whipped potatoes were good. As was the creamed spinach the table shared. The calamari app (which was a bit heavy on the batter) and burrata app (needed more tomatoes) were both decent. The strip steak was the issue. As our server delivered the plate, she said "when you get a chance, could you cut the steak open and make sure it's done to your liking." I've never had a server in a nice steak restaurant ask me to do this before. It's not a good look. They should already know. I assumed she was concerned it was undercooked. I pressed my knife against the steak. Because I grill steaks, I knew that it was medium well or well done. I said "well, I can tell it's not underdone." I cut the steak down the middle. And it was medium well or well done. I very, very rarely send food back. But at a respected chop house, and at that price, I sent it back. And frankly, it wasn't a big deal at that stage because we had plenty of other food. A manager came out with a new steak. She apologized. Again, I was asked to cut it open. I pressed my knife against the new steak. I knew even before I cut it, because the steak squished as I pressed it. This time -- it wasn't even rare yet. So I had to send it back again. The steak came back. I cut it down the middle of one of the halves. It was a little more done, but it was on the borderline of being rare and undercooked still. I wasn't going to send the steak back a third time. So I ate the parts closest to the ends and sides. The steak was too chewy and underseasoned. I don't know what was going on. Maybe a regular chef was out and an inexperienced person had to step up. In any event, if you're famous for your steaks, you can't have those kinds of misses. Also, the plating of this experience could use a fresh look. Everything was put on the same plate and it was really crowded. 3 Stars
