I stopped coming here years ago because of how rude the main cashier (not sure if he does anything else because he never leaves the cash register) is. I visited the location a few weeks ago and the person there was very nice and let me know that because I have a professional license I'd receive a discount on my products. I walked in today and selected my items (exact same items as before) and the cashier (the rude one from years ago) says No no discount on this. I said I was just here a couple of weeks ago buying the same stuff when I was given the discount and he says well you won't get a discount today and no one else will either in a harsh tone and rolling his eyes. Went in with a friend of mine to see if we could score some suppa cute wigs and left pretty displeased. They have some of their wigs outside the place (which is what drew us in) my friend liked one so we went in to try it on (we brought our own wig caps) and the guy rudely responded with "do you see that sign, you can't try" the tone threw us off. It was really weird for us since we've both gone to other wig shops that happily help you try on, with a wig cap of course. Because how else are you going to know if you like it and if it's you? Idk not the biggest deal, but don't come here if you're looking for some sweet tlc in the wig department. read more

Wish i could put 0 Stars. This man was beyond disrespectful towards me for no reason. He got mad because i didnt choose a wig fast enough, he didnt let me choose my wigcap style, because you have to buy one before trying any wigs on. Then he rudely told me to watch the lacefront wigs because if i ripped one I'd have to pay for it. Youd think if theyre that important he would help customers try the wigs on, but no, he just left. The wigcap kept falling off, so i figured i should braid my hair. I was thinking about asking the man if he could help or give tips on how i can keep the wigcap from falling, when he shows up asking which wig im taking. I was barely explaining that i hadnt tried them on yet when he turns around and walks away from me without even giving me the chance to finish my sentence or ask for help. I went there to buy a wig!!! The lady owner was really friendly!!! I came with my own cap!!! This rude man said you need to buy one, I say ok!! I tried on one wig and took a picture of it to show my hair stylist!! This very rude man said no pictures!! I said what I'm going to do with these photos, go home and make the wig!! I proceeded to try on wigs I tried on the third one, he said you can only try on three wigs !!! The whole time he stood and watched!!! If I'm going to pay money for a wig I want to make sure it's right,not be rushed!!! The man is very rude!! He also stated people try on wigs and don't buy nothing!!!! I'm usually a regular here but just recently had a bad experience here. Make sure that if you purchase any synthetic wigs from there that they aren't the pricey ones. They aren't worth it...This is the second time I've purchased a synthetic wig from them for $60+ and the quality was absolutely horrendous! I had the wig for two days and it started frizzing, tangling and shedding. I called to see if I could at least exchange it and the guy who answered was very rude and said no refunds or exchanges which is absolutely ridiculous when they sell subpar products! Johnny's have loads of stuff, but apparently they don't restock. The guy & gal are kinda rude too. Everything is cramped in together. Eyelashes are overpriced too. I found another spot with better service called Samson's hair goods off of Vermont & Carson. read more

Just bought a wig here . Their customer service was OK. The wig selection was nice. Just keep in mind that they'll only allow you to try on three wigs due to their store policy. I get it but I didn't feel like I was able to really see what I liked. If youre decisive then it's fine but if you're like me and need to take your time then it's a little difficult. This is a great store to find quality beauty products and beautiful accessories . And I love the huge selection of OPI nail polishes. They carry colors that you can not find any where else. I have been in here many times. Old guy is ok, on a good day otherwise he can be cold. I was looking at the Deva Curl products which is pretty expensive. As I first walked in I noticed this younger Asian guy standing by the door as if he's waiting on the woman to assist with something business related, whom I assumed, was the only one working. So as I'm looking at the products, the lady is standing by my side watching me. I mean right. On. Me. Every product I touch and already familiar with she is explaining the product as if I'm asking about it. Idk if she thought i was going to run out with the stuff or what but she made me feel very uncomfortable. So when I noticed she wasn't going to move away, I left. I just so happened to look back and she was making a sweeping gesture with her hands to the Asian guy as if she's saying "good riddance already damn!" Customer service just horrible! I can say so much but I'm going to leave with this. Remember Mr and Miss. Lee , WE are your bread and butter, WE are keeping you in business, WE are the ones paying your house note and just as easy as WE can keep you in business, WE can also put you out then who will pay the bills? Just like the previous reviews said......they had just about everything I was looking for and then some! The staff is helpful and somewhat friendly.....and they don't follow you around *side eye* which I highly appreciate! Everything is neatly organized and should be easy to find, once you've been there a couple times. I compared them to CosmoProf (which isn't exactly accessible by the general public) since I had just left that store.....some of their prices were comparative and some were significantly higher. But I think compared to other "regular/public" beauty supply stores, they have good prices. They definitely have all the good stuff there! The store itself is nice but the customer service is terrible. Went in with my girlfriend to buy a few things. We politely asked the owner (I'm guessing) if we could try on some wigs and he said ok but that we have to buy a cap which was no problem. My girlfriend was having trouble with the cap so she had to brush her hair and put it up so that the cap fit on snug when he came back there 3 minutes later and asked if we were done. My gf said that she hasn't tried any yet because the cap kept sliding off and he gave her a mean face and walked away. What kind of customer service is that? I like this place. The guy who works there has always been polite. The woman is just okay. Besides that I've never had any problems, so far. When I walk in they help me if I need it and I've never been followed around like I'm a thief or something, which is good. I was looking for a particular type of hair. I called several places and all were acting as if my 20 second phone call was a nuisance. I called Johnny's and he was so kind. Told me they carried the hair. He even stayed on the phone to make sure the length and color I wanted was available. I went in today asking for that hair and he said did you call yesterday? He took me straight to the hair and even suggested I use the original product because customers have complained about the newer one. I appreciated his honesty. read more
