After giving me a pizza that was very dry (hardly any sauce) even though I ordered it with "extra sauce", I was given the supreme runaround and told that the pizza was made with extra sauce and either I'm a liar or have no idea what I'm talking about. Another thrilling chapter in our ongoing saga of disappointment at Johnny's Pizza. It's Super Bowl Sunday at 4:00pm--prime pizza hour--and the place is deader than the Jets' playoff hopes. Empty dining room. Silent phones. In hindsight, this was less a restaurant and more a haunted museum exhibit titled "What Went Wrong." We slide into a booth where the seating appears to have lost a long, brave battle with time. Duct tape bravely holds together what used to be upholstery, while exposed springs jab me repeatedly, as if the booth itself is trying to warn me to leave. Message received--too late. We order like a normal family expecting to eat... you know... together: three medium pizzas (buffalo chicken, meat, margherita) and a meatball calzone. What followed was not a meal, but a culinary relay race. Each pizza arrived about five minutes apart, with the calzone bringing up the rear like it missed the memo. This is particularly impressive given the massive pizza ovens visible in the kitchen. Not sure if only one item is allowed in at a time or if timing food is just considered a fun optional skill here. We came to share a family meal, not reenact Top Chef: Separate Courses Edition. Then there was the margherita pizza, which apparently is now a conceptual dish. Cheese was present only in theory. Presumably, this is part of a bold new cost-cutting initiative called "Imagine the Mozzarella." The meat and buffalo chicken pizzas were fine--no applause, but no boos. The calzone, however, was a marvel of contradiction: beautifully toasted on the outside, while the inside remained cold and sad, with cheese that clearly had never been formally introduced to heat. We sent it back for further coaching. After 15-20 minutes, the calzone still hadn't resurfaced, so we asked--politely--to cancel it and remove it from the bill. Everyone else had finished eating and was ready to go. We were told it would be "out soon," to which we again requested cancellation. Then came a plot twist: they offered to box it up and not charge us. Fine. Cool. Done. Five minutes later, the waitress returned to inform us that since it was almost ready, they would now be charging us after all. Bold strategy. We objected. The manager eventually appeared and decided the calzone would be thrown away, but we could still take it home for free. A true win-win-win--except for logic. Overall, this was an extremely unpleasant experience--sadly, not our first here. This place has gone so far downhill it should issue altitude sickness warnings. Management appears completely clueless about how a service business is supposed to function. We won't be back and strongly recommend you skip it too. Do yourself a favor and head down the street to Compania at The Mill instead--which was actually our first choice, but shockingly was closed at 4:00pm on Super Bowl Sunday. A pizza place. Closed. Absolutely fantastic pizza! The crust was perfectly cooked--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside--and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The restaurant was clean, had a great atmosphere, and our food came out quickly. Every bite was delicious, and it's clear they take pride in the quality of their ingredients and customer experience. Good crust represented in our cheesey breadsticks. In comparison my wife had a pizza slice and it's good but fresh cooked whole pie would have the better crust. I got the Bronx Bomber and it also was good with the marinara on the tangy side. The meatballs and sausage links in the dish were great. The garden salads had big pieces and need some chopping to fit in your mouth. Our server was very friendly and the large soft drink tumblers were promptly refilled. Seating is comfortable but hard floors and glass walls might be noisy (wasn't too full on this weeknight). A little bit of outdoor seating is also available. A bit atypical hours. read more

This location is near my house and for some reason I hadn't been in until recently. It was a solid choice for dinner. They have daily specials posted to n a board right when you come in. On my visit we wound up getting the free garlic rolls which were pretty good My build your own calzone was stuffed with topping and cooked perfectly. I was so full and barely managed to finish it. Their sauce to dip in was a little watery but had a great flavor. The service was above average. I've had their pizza before, it's not bad but it's the best thing on the menu. I had the displeasure of tasting their crumbled feta and marinara starter with toasted bread. The bread itself was buttery but had little garlic and was cold. The marinara was extremely rich, it gave me acid reflux shortly after my visit. The service was pretty bad in terms of friendliness. The staff didn't care to greet me or even smile. They obviously just don't care at all because despite the place being dead, the seating was pretty dirty. I passed by 3-4 tables before I sat myself at a relatively clean booth. It's also poorly lit. It feels less of a family oriented environment and more inviting to a nightlife crowd. I approve of this place for pizza on the run but wouldn't return for a dine-in nor pasta and more experience. read more

Oh my gosh, this pizza was delicious, and the service was incredible. We were visiting family from Houston in the area. We had a horrendous travel day that day and decided wine would help. Once inside, we also decided to have the lunch special with a slice of pizza. We met the owner Lisa, she was so friendly and the service was top notch. We even saw Lisa while out in the area; she came up and greeted us like old friends. We will be back in January for some Johnny's pizza and a visit with Lisa. read more

New to the area and tried Johnny's New York Pizza in Canton. . It was a pleasant experience. The pizza was really good. The prices are reasonable. Our server, Hannah was excellent! Prompt with refills. Good advice on the pizza and deals. She is a real credit to the restaurant. Minor suggestion.., they could be a bit more generous with the pizza sauce. Our favorite and go to pizza spot. They have pizzas, pastas, subs, wraps, calzones, Strombolis, and more. Good for dine in or takeout. An arcade area for kids, TVs, bar, trivia, and game nights. It's such a great community spot for pizza. I enjoy the build your own calzones that are usually big enough to share. The cheese bread sticks are amazing with marinara. They'll let you add toppings to the cheese bread sticks also. The gourmet pizza is one of our favorites as well as the meat pizza. They'll let you do half and half specialities which is really nice as well. Can't go wrong with johnny's they are always quick, efficient, and friendly. Make this your pizza night spot! read more

Poor service. Lisa M is very slow in getting customers food out , she is to busy drinking and talking to customers at counter instead of handling table service. The pizza is a hit or miss. Sometimes it's really good others it's burnt on the bottom. No sauce on spaghetti. They charge you for fries with any of the sandwiches. No other pizza place does that. Brooklyn joes is much better with quicker service and you don't pay extra for every little thing like spaghetti sauce when there isn't enough on the plate to use on the spaghetti. When we walked in we weren't greeted immediately but they were also really busy which for us was a good sign. We waited a bit and sat at the booth to decide and after a few minutes a server came over and we ordered a veggie pizza with pepperoni to go and a few drinks from the bar and a slice while we waited. The place was pretty clean although the seating is a bit outdated - some booths are worn and need to be replaced. The food was amazing when it was fresh out of the brick oven. I happened upon this place with a popular food app. Reviews seemed decent so I opted to give them a try. I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and it was promptly delivered still hot. The overall presentation was appealing and it smelled fresh. I found the crust to be thin and crunchy and the sauce to be spot on. Cheese was good and the pepperoni was ok. I found the pepperoni made it slightly greasier and saltier than I would like. Honestly it was overall a good pizza for the value and I would order again. read more

As a native New Yorker, I'm tough to please when it comes to pizza. Nothing compares to true NY pizza. That said, in the canton area, Johnnys is the best pizza around. Closest thing to NY Style pizza. It's the crust that makes it. In the recent months and upon reopening, things have been consistently better. This place is disgusting. Our food was cold, asked for it to be reheated & still came back cold. My boyfriend ordered 2 slices of pizza (see attached photo), which were the grossest saddest excuses for pizza I've ever seen. This place is always packed with dine-in patrons which says a lot. The pizza is the best in town with a flaky crust, tasty tomato sauce, melted mozzarella and all the toppings to your hearts content. Been on the hunt for a super solid pizza place. Starting to think all GA pizza is kind of the same. Maybe it's the water? Pizza looked kind of dried out with a doughy under carriage. Ordered a side slice which was burnt. Chicken parm sub was okay. I don't think when people basically put chicken fingers on bread cover it with sauce and parm cheese and call that a sub. I did like that they didn't toast their bread to a crisp! If they improved on their chicken parm it could be world class. Staff front girls were nice. Occupancy seemed low. read more

The pizza was outstanding--once we got it. We went to check out this place on what turned out to be poker night, and it seemed our server was paying a lot more attention to her poker patrons than to us. It also took the better part of an hour for our food to arrive at the table. When I asked if they'd forgotten about us, the waitress said the kitchen burned our first pizza, and it's replacement would soon be out. But I do suspect she merely forgot to put in the order. Either way: tell me the truth, and if the pizza really did burn, please tell me about it before I have to ask. Oh, and if the delay gets so long that I do have to ask, at least comp my sodas or something. But as I said, the pie we finally got was really good. We had the Great White pie (a white pizza with chicken, tomatoes, and spinach). Delicious. The crust was just right. The combination of flavors was excellent. I have been to this location about 15 times because it's close and has Keno. This is the worse place ever, 12 out of 15 visits were horrible. Rude waitresses, slow with food ( unless you are friends of the owner ) food is either burnt or soggy. Don't bother complaining to owners, they don't care, and the woman who's owns it a bitch and rudest person I have ever met. She needs to concentrate on her customers and quality of food and service. Instead she is busy drinking and sitting with friends and family who have come in on several visits And it's always the same. The rudeness and crappy food is to much. Great family pizza place! My husband & I took our kids there tonight for dinner & had a great experience. They've got limited seating open (during all the covid stuff going on) & seem to have a good set up where people can sit safely away from other customers. We had garlic knots & pizza. The garlic knots were literally the best we've ever had. (Highly recommend them!) The pizza was also really good. They loaded up our pizza with toppings - it was great. The wait wasn't long at all on a Saturday night, either. That was really appreciated for us with young kids. Update: Today I had the wings (of course cause they're my favorite). I also ordered the cheese bread and added pepperoni. I picked up so I immediately realized they didn't add the pepperoni! I give this establishment 5 stars for sheer quality and customer service. Even though it was near closing, the chef offered to remake the bread or heat and add pepperoni. I was totally okay with the latter. I was given a drink while I waited (even though I only drink water). I was thankful for the offer! The young lady at the counter made the wait pass quickly with her awesome conversation! I appreciate the service and the food is fantastic!! This was my very first time eating at this restaurant! The only time their Pizza isn't burned on the bottom is when its by the slice. However, a slice or a whole pizza, both are scant with meats and ridiculous on the veggies --green peppers, onions, and olives so much that we spend a minute untopping each slice.
