Chicken Francese with Fettucini Alfredo and House Rolls
Emily F.

We've been coming to this location for years. Every family birthday, we always visit for the free birthday meal and I can honestly say in the 10+ years of visits, we have never once had a bad experience. Our waitress this weekend was so friendly and interacted with our toddler, which we always appreciate. She kept our drinks and rolls refilled and kept making sure our dinner was enjoyable. The chicken francese and the chicken alfredo are always my go-to items here. I was happily surprised to find that since the francese comes with a side of pasta, you can substitute that for fettuccini alfredo and receive the best of both worlds. We love the intimate seating here as well. The dimmed lights and set up of the booths really gives you a family dinner experience unlike most other restaurants in the area. We'll continue to be life long customers!

Salad and garlic butter bread

I was pleasantly surprised to have this Italian restaurant so close to my house. I had this restaurants food twice before through a catered work event and that was pretty good too. When you walk in you get a blast of garlic but in the best possible way. It was dimly lit and much larger on the inside then it looks from the outside. We were quickly seated in a comfortable booth. The service was friendly. After we ordered she brought out salad and garlic rolls. Both were above average in my opinion. I really liked the beets and garbanzo beans. The rest of the food came out quickly. The apps of calamari and fried cheese raviolis were fantastic. There was a lot of calamari for the price. I would suggest that they serve it with a wedge or two of lemon. The marinara was really chunky. I prefer smoother but it had a good taste. My main meal of fettuccine was a large portion! I asked for some crushed red peppers to spice it up. The pasta was cooked perfectly but I did find the sauce a little bland. I would probably order it again though. Overall the meal was extremely successful. I would highly recommend it if you are in the area.

Our favorite Italian place. The garlic rolls are the best. We take guests there constantly and have never had a guest that didn't love it.

Step inside and you're greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the kind of friendly faces that make you feel right at home. Then comes the food--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. My husband sticks to the classics (and loves every bite), while I always look forward to whatever creative seasonal dishes Andy and Amber come up with. Fall is my favorite time because I have to get the butternut squash pasta--it's that good. It's always great to see POPS busy, even during the week. It just adds to the energy of downtown and makes you appreciate having such a gem in the community. We truly hope POPS becomes a longtime staple here in Canton--places like this deserve it. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and go. You won't regret it.

I pulled onto the road where reformation brewery is, proceeded down the road a bit to see what's happening in the mills area. I did recall that Campania opened shop here and head they were doing well which pleases me because I frequent crabapple location often. Great pizza and interesting appetizers. This time I opened for a simple Margherita pizza and a cup of Italian wedding soup. The pizza needs no explanation, it was excellent. The Italian wedding soup had an interesting take on it the carrots were a a lot firmer than I expected making it a soft crunch the meatballs were nice but overall it lacked seasoning. The establishment takes a page from the old mill look with exposed beans on the walls and roofline. The bar stood prominent with a few seats inside, the majority of the seating was on the patio which was large. Neapolitan pizza is one of my go-tos And this place does a great job for it ...

Our table was near the entrance/host stand and we literally had people leaning up against our table waiting. Whoever designed this was clearly not thinking things through 1. Then there was the server. I blame this entirely on training. 1st time to table she asked if we were ready to order. When we said not yet she walked away and we had to call her back for a drink order. When we were still eating she asked if we wanted boxes. No ask for more drinks no dessert just let's wrap things up.

Brings you back to the NJ/NY slice you had a so long ago and never forget. The sauce, slightly sweet and flavorful. No bitterness or canned tomato taste, it's almost like a Sunday gravy. The cheese appears to be a blend, I'd guess Grande cheese. Not too salty and not greasy. The crust is perfect. Not too thick and not too thin. Slight char on the bottom, crispy and doughy with flavor. That's what makes a perfect pizza, the blend of flavors. As for the food. I've tried everything on the menu and ordered a bunch of things for Christmas. I could go on for pages about then food. Let's just say my wife's mother is Italian. Was the best cook! However, the longer we sat, the more disappointed I was with the overall experience. We get our soups and salad. The plates were given for the salad are dirty, with some weird brownish liquid. Our server seems annoyed the entire time, but I ask for a new set of silverware and a refill, and choose to let it go. After about 10 minutes he comes back over and asks if we need anything. I ask yet again for the silverware and refill, and do eventually get that. We then sit for however long we did, and he walks back over asking if we need our check? Meanwhile every single dish is still on the table, so it's clear all we have is salad and soups. He goes to the back and we do finally get our food, and wonders over eventually asking if we need anything, so we have to ask if he can finally clear the table a bit for us to eat.
