I recently had the pleasure of upgrading my old security system with Johns Brothers in Midlothian, VA. Johns Bros was my monitoring company so when I starting to have issues with my old system, I reached out to them and had a very productive interaction with Curtis, one of their Sales Consultants. Curtis was informative, responsive to my many questions and provided a very fair upgrade quote which I accepted. The next phase was install day and I had the most fantastic experience imaginable when Kevin arrived to do the work. Kevin is one of the most experienced and capable technical people I've had then pleasure to experience. And his customer relations skills are every bit as strong as his technical skills! Finally, I will call out Angelo, who was responsible for assessing my issues and directing me to Curtis for the ultimate resolution. Originally with Dynamark. About a month in the alarm went off at 2 am and I proceeded to respond with guns drawn. It was just me, my family, and our shadows. Apparently they installed a faulty censor. Camera randomly stops recording. Most recently it took 5 emails (that they never responded to) and a phone call this morning to ask how to enroll in the military discount. Apparently this is only for new accounts. I guess actually serving in the military and having a paid account isn't enough I was told I could add more services to possibly qualify. What a slap in the face. read more

Nice people but this company's organization is a joke. Left the company I utilized this service a year ago, and they still call me. I have told the monitoring center and their office so many times that I'm not employed. Poor record keeping is not the company you want monitoring your site. Steer clear. read more

I had John's Brothers Security install a security system in my residence to include 4 doors, 10 windows and motion. Wasn't particularly cheap. The tech came to perform the install and the first thing he did as he entered the house was ask if he could use the restroom. He spent the better part of 25 minutes in there and when he came out, my family had to run upstairs. The stench was overwhelming. He proceeded to conduct the install however, after installing all of the sensors on the windows, he realized he placed them where the windows couldn't be opened inwards (for cleaning). So, he had to rip all of the sensors off and reinstall them. In the process of removing them, he ripped the drywall off on every window frame. I called the moron salesman to tell him what occurred and his response was: "So what the hell do you want me to do, buy you a quart of paint?" I told him, it wasn't just paint that was compromised, his idiot tech ripped the drywall apart. He then said, "Well, there's nothing I can do about it" and he hung up. Talk about an obvious lack of professionalism on the tech's part but, as soon as the sales moron had my money, they simply didn't give a crap. Stay away from this low budget organization, their idiot, poop-smelling techs and their unethical sales morons. read more

Love this company. Used Richmond Alarm which was bought by Johnson Controls. Switched to John's Brothers in 2022. Excellent sales experience. Not pushy and they tried to help me solve a problem. I got a new upgraded system. Easy to operate. I've had ADT, Brinks, Vector, and Ring. I think the Alarm.com with John's Brothers is the best. read more

We have been customers of Johns Brothers Security since Dynamark Security (who we used for more than 15 years) merged with them in 2022. In the past several months, we have had a few incidents with our keypad panel beeping, among other weird sounds, in the middle of the night. We do not have a poltergeist, and each time the quick-responding technicians (Wes, John, and one other) very effectively communicated a logical explanation (old battery, GFI tripped) and walked us through the steps over the phone to fix the system. The super nice people in the office (Debbie and others) provide great customer service as well, and truly enjoy interacting and providing solutions. This caring company has great integrity and wonderful values that are hard to find these days! read more

I contacted Johns Brothers Security about a medical alert device for a friend who is 97 years old. Glenda Price came and spoke with us and brought a test device with her. She described how the device worked and was very thorough. She then allowed my friend to test the device, Within seconds, the alert was answered and the person was very friendly. Very impressive customer service. The people that answer the alerts are medically trained and this is a major plus. Glenda must have spent three hours with us and at no time was there any pressure. My friend ordered the device and it was activated within the hour. She has had the device now for a week and is very pleased with it. Her family and I are so relieved that she went with the device as it gives us peace of mind knowing that if she falls or has any kind of medical alert, she is seconds away from getting help. She tested the device a week after having it by pressing the button and checking its battery percentage. Connor answered the alert within seconds and he was warm and friendly and immediately asked if she was OK. She told him she was testing the device and wanted to check on the battery percentage. He told her the percentage and asked her if she had any more questions. He took his time with her and was not rushed in getting off the alert. This says a lot for the company. I can't say enough about Glenda and Johns Brothers. If you want a company that has great customer service and great products, Johns Brothers is the company to handle your security needs. Whether it's home security or medical alert devices, you can't go wrong choosing Johns Brothers Security. And be sure to ask for Glenda Price. She is thorough and will not pressure you at all. And she will not sell you something you don't need. read more
