So far so good! I worked with Jodi at John's Brothers (JB) in getting a quote and information on a new security system. I've had ADT for years but for what my needs are now, ADT couldn't deliver and that what prompted me to shop around. When Jodi came to my home and did the walk through, she was knowledgeable in what equipment I would need. Come to find out she worked with JB for over 30 years! So she knew the inside and outs of security. Within a day, she sent me a quote and info video of the panel that will be installed. Day of installation, Willy was my technician and he was very friendly and respectful of my home and space. He set up his work area nicely with all his tools and equipment and walked me through what he will be doing. During our small talks, he mentioned he worked for JB for 20 years! That speaks volumes when you have long lasting employees. It tells me they take care of their employees and in turn they will take care of their customers. Everything was sent of nicely and after installation, Willy assisted me in getting me the App up and running on my phone. He walked me through all the sensors and panels. So far it's been working like it should. No issues. I'm able to disarm and arm my system whenever and wherever I am. I get to look at my front door camera without any issues connecting to it. John's Brother has been a good security company so far, hopefully they will stay at high star for me after the bill comes in LOLOLOL!! read more

This company is a fraud and rip off. Eric Massingill Sales rep lied about my package charged me $1850 for 3 cameras then overcharged me for a keypad in the house. All said and done I have a cheap system I pay $39.99 for monitoring and another $15.00 for 4 cameras per month. When I needed another contact on a door outside he would not even call me back . Most unprofessional person I have ever been in contact with. I hope this company goes broke .,. Go with ADT not these crooks read more

Security Risk. After over 10 years of monitoring with this company, I took over my family home and signed a new 3-year agreement. Near the end of the term, I followed their official cancellation procedures and provided written notice more than 30 days in advance.After submitting notice, I was told my contract was two months longer than previously stated. I was also informed they would not release the system's communicator, which prevents me from using my own hardware with another provider. The company ignored my subsequent requests for clarification regarding this equipment lockdown.To protect my system, I ultimately had to change the programming code and replace the communicator myself to remove their access on the 3-year anniversary. Despite paying for the extra two months demanded, they billed me for monitoring services they could not actually render, including an interactive access fee for a system they no longer could connect to. Disabling customer-owned hardware is not in my signed agreement, and charging for unrendered service is highly unprofessional. They completely destroyed my trust. read more

Great experience! The Johns Brothers team has always been very helpful & knowledgeable.

I do not recommend this company because when you have a complicated problem with your system they will not call you back no matter how many time you call and leave a message or talk with someone. I had them for my business and they suck!! They called me once and stated that they needed to update my panel and because it was an old panel form them and this one is will be more better and I signed a form for the upgrade, and they never told me that it was another contract for two more years of service. So they got me there and I found out when I switched to ADS security because I could not get anyone to come to my business to service the alarm....and mind you I had been with John Brothers Security from 2013 until the middle of last year. Some may say you have to read everything and they are right but over the phone he was going over the process and never once said that it is a contract for 2 more years. To me that is like a scam to their customers. read more

We have had John's Brothers for over 25 years now. We have had the best customer service if we needed it. They call us within a minute of us accidentally setting the alarm off. There are so many companies out there that charge an arm and a leg for lousy monthly service. John's Brother's is reasonable and I highly recommend them. I would never recommend this company to anyone needing an alarm system. They said if I moved they could transfer the unit for a small fee. That fee ended up being one year of service. ADT charges less money for more features and they move your unit for free. Johns brothers severely punishes their customers for needing to move. Yesterday I had scheduled new install with John's Brothers between 8:30 and 9:30. To my surprise, first time ever a company arrived at the beginning of the time frame. Alex Lucas introduced himself to me and proceeded to explain how the install would work. What a wonderful man you have working for your company. He did everything he said he would do, worked patiently in showing me how everything worked and was a pleasure to have in my home. If you have a rating system that I could fill out, he would receive all top marks. From this long time customer, excellent job by Alex. We've had Johns Brothers Security for a few years now. They lock you into a lengthy contract, so beware! We have had issues with the police not being called when someone didn't to pick up the phone to confirm or deny a false alarm and 2 incidence where other people have called us before the alarm company to let us know the alarm was going off. Customer service is horrible!!! I wrote to the company asking to end my contract due to their lack making me feel secure and not contacting the police when the alarm goes off and no one picks up the phone. Not only did the company respond, but they included a copy on my contract, via unsecured email, containing my full social security number and credit card number with the back 3 security code. Unapologetically, the General Manager, Woody Parsons, responded to my email by saying: "After reviewing your response to our accounting department, I disagree with a number of your comments. First of all, we are incompetent, and I would be more than willing to send you our central station reports on how the alarms were handled on 5/23,5/30 and 8/6." He agrees they are incompetent but won't let me out of my contract without a hefty buyout fee. If you are in the market for home security, I would keep shopping! read more
