What to do when all the other restaurants have closed and you are so hungry. What is better than a platter of very fried fish and chips or clams. There is no space to sit down just order at the window. Guess what? It worked. Service is fast and my meal was hot. Great post bar crawl spot.

Conveniently located by the ferry pier. Stopped for a quick bite before heading back to Boston. Fried shrimp was good, staff were friendly and many options on the menu.

My husband wanted to stop here so we got the fried clam basket. It came with a lot of clams and lots of fries, super good and the employees were friendly!

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat before our whale watch. Got dogs and chicken fingers. You order at the counter down on the street. They have an upstairs seating area full of tables with covered umbrellas. I was surprised - on a Friday afternoon (3pm) in august - the upstairs was empty. We had it to ourselves. Good food made quickly. We only had 20 minutes to eat before our whale watch and John's delivered.

Delicious crab sandwich. As someone that grew up eating Maryland crab I am very picky about my seafood. Their crab sandwich is next level. Quick service even on Memorial Day weekend. I could have done without the shrimp sandwich personally because it was not explained well. I thought I was getting a mayo or butter based shrimp sandwich but it turned out to be more like Po' Boy. Some may love it, just not my personal favorite and would have not ordered it if I knew the shrimp was fried

    John's 12 inches of pleasure in P-Town
    Frank B.

John's 12 Inch's was a tasty treat while hanging in P-Town and would highly recommend pounding one down. The real key to the 12 inch hot dog is the bun. A Massachusetts thing but this simple grilled bun wrapping the full 12 inches makes it. Now add your own sauce or as I used mustard to finish it off. Now there is some other fried items I'll take the dog every day and on the weekend. Grab a seat on the roof to relax and enjoy.

This take out place right near the ferry landing is very well known in Provincetown. I have gotten many goodies out of their window throughout the years...hot dogs and clam strips. Their clam strips are golden and crispy, just the way I like them. They have a small and basic menu, but everything is good! Check it out .....

Right on the pier. You can find good food here! My mom had a craving for a hot dog and this place hit the spot. The price was right and who can resist cheese fries? I love the quality of bread and the fact that they grilled them to perfection. The cheese sauce was also great. The only thing I would like to see is an upgrade to the actual hot dog meat since this is their name and specialty, but it was still worth the price overall. Make sure if you are looking for a quick bite to check this place out.

    Lobster roll with small fries

My first food stop in Provincetown for a lobster roll. It's an outdoor ordering bar which makes it convenient if you are with pets (I had my dog) but note that it is Cash only. I ordered their lobster roll (market price right now is $28) with small fries ($5). Upon receiving my food basket, I went up the outdoor steps to their deck seating area. The fries were thin and crispy. It was a bit odd but I did find select fries to be more lukewarm compared to the ones that were hot. They may mix fries that have been sitting out longer with the fresher hot ones; it was still good though. Now my lobster roll was delicious. It was super tender and juicy. I took my time eating and savoring each lobster bite. This is such a great place for a quick grab and go meal at an affordable price for this area. I highly recommend checking this out.

First meal in Provincetown and we were absolutely starving. The hotdog was good, crispy snap texture when you bite into it and juicy on the inside. The bun was also nice and toasted. We asked for the fries extra crispy and I felt like they came out perfect. We got a large portion of fries that fills up like 1/3-1/2 the box! We also got the grilled chicken sandwich which was pretty solid but nothing extraordinary. There's a self serve condiment bar where you can grab dill pickles, onions, relish, ketchup, and mustard. The service was pretty fast and there's an easy parking lot right next door.

There was a long line here for dinner so we were spontaneous and decided to get some takeout food to enjoy on our patio. This was amazing! For $44, we shared a clam chowder soup, chicken wings with fries, fries clam strips with fries, and fried dough for dessert. Everything was packaged nicely and we even had extra leftovers for the next day..... Would highly recommend this place for a bang for your buck, although I definitely had better clam chowders (not to say this one was bad, but it was thicker than I was used to).

Back to Cape Cod for a few days, and had to have fried clams at John's foot long. They were crisp, flavorful, and just perfect. French fries were crispy and great. I also got a foot-long hotdog as an accompaniment. It was juicy, and really enjoyable on the crispy, buttered roll. This place never disappoints. Portions are generous. Very yummy!

Next, we shared the Cape Cod Fish Fry and it was perfect. The fish was fresh and the batter was crisp but not greasy. It was possibly the best mixed fried seafood plate I've had so far. EXTREMELY DISTURBING EXPERIENCE WITH THE WAITER!…read more This took place around 9:00 PM on Thursday, June 4. Our group consisted of three couples dining together. At the end of the meal, we asked if the bill could be split into thirds. Our waiter, Martin P., told us that he would not split the check and instead instructed us to write down exactly what each person ordered so that he could charge us separately. Although no other restaurant we visited in Provincetown required us to do this, we followed his instructions and listed our individual items. When Martin returned, he was visibly upset and stated that our payments were approximately $70 short. There was confusion because our group was trying to determine who had already paid, who had not, and whether something had been missed in the calculations. I even asked whether we were expected to calculate individual tax amounts ourselves, as no one knew what tax would be for each separate charge. Rather than calmly helping us resolve the discrepancy, Martin began yelling at our group. At one point he stated, "If I don't get $70, I am going to charge one of the credit cards that I have." This immediately concerned us. We were not refusing to pay. We were actively trying to understand where the discrepancy occurred and make sure the restaurant received the full amount owed. To resolve the issue, one of my friends and I went with Martin into a back room to review the charges. After reviewing everything, my friend agreed to pay the remaining balance immediately. The payment was processed and the bill was fully paid. At that point I was trying to calm the situation and bring it to a close. Instead, Martin became even more agitated and began yelling profanities at us. He shouted, "Get the f*** out of my restaurant! It's people like you why we don't split checks! You all need to get the f*** out now!" Other people started noticing this go down. We were stunned. The bill had been paid. Nobody was attempting to leave without paying. We were simply trying to resolve a billing issue after following the waiter's instructions. As we were leaving, my wife later told me that Martin placed his HAND ON HER BACK and guided her toward the exit. While it was not forceful, it felt unnecessary and added to an already hostile and intimidating experience. What happened next is why I ultimately decided to write this review. A few days later, while walking through Provincetown looking for a place to have lunch, our group passed The Mayflower Food & Drink and noticed Martin working there. When he saw us, he deliberately tapped on the glass to get our attention. After making eye contact, he made a hand gesture across his neck and pointed for us to leave and keep walking. The original incident had already ended. The bill had been paid. Yet days later he still felt the need to single out our group and signal that we were unwelcome. Had this simply been confusion over a split check, I would not be writing this review. Billing mistakes happen. What I cannot overlook is being threatened with unauthorized credit card charges, being screamed at with profanity while attempting to resolve the issue, being ordered out after the bill had been paid, Martin touching my wife, and then encountering the same employee days later making a gesture directed at our group from another restaurant. This experience was troubling enough that I believe others should be aware of it.

A Night at Lobster Pot: Provincetown's Crown Jewel…read more Our evening at Lobster Pot in Provincetown was nothing short of extraordinary--a culinary experience that has set a new standard for every meal that follows. We began with their lobster ravioli baked with breadcrumbs, and I can say without hesitation that it was the finest version of this dish we've ever encountered. The pasta was delicate yet substantial, the lobster filling impossibly sweet and tender, and that golden breadcrumb crust provided the perfect textural contrast. It was a masterclass in simplicity and execution. For my main course, I ordered their Shellfish Algarve--a stunning composition of shrimp, mussels, littleneck clams, fish, calamari, and pasta, all steamed together in a fragrant broth of olive oil, butter, garlic, bay leaf, and just a whisper of crushed red pepper. Every element sang in perfect harmony. The broth was silky and elegant, each protein cooked to precise doneness, and the sesame and soy notes I detected added an unexpected depth that elevated the entire dish. It was, quite simply, the best dish I've ever had. What sets Lobster Pot apart is an unwavering commitment to quality that extends to every plate that leaves the kitchen. It's now, without question, my favorite seafood restaurant of all time.
