Love Pepe's! Came here with my dog and he was treated so nicely. He also loved the chicken I ordered for him. This was years ago. Sadly, he has since passed, but my husband and I come to Pepe's every time we visit Ptown. The food is amazing. The staff are very hospitable. My husband loved the catch of the day meal last night. Keep doing what you're doing!

We made a reservation here while visiting Provincetown! The ambiance leading into the restaurant was lovely - tucked against the ocean, hydrangeas as you walk in, and plenty of outdoor seating with a view of the boats and the water. We enjoyed glasses of Truro rose, which quickly became a trip favorite, and some oysters to start with. I chose the pesto pasta and added shrimp, and my friend chose the lobster ravioli. Both were great, filling, and flavorful! We enjoyed the ambiance and our evening there. Service was a bit underwhelming - nothing was late or wrong, but just nothing to write home about in terms of care by the server. Either way, we had a great time.

Came to pepes for dinner and had a great time. The outdoor view was great and the ambiance was really nice. Service here was good, but this is the only place in town that ID'ed us and unfortunately one of us forgot our IDs, so that was kind of annoying. We got the crabcake which was good, but quite small. For $18 I would have expected more. I also got the roasted cod which was tasty as well and would recommend. Overall, good experience and would come back!

Michelle with 2 L's was amazing! Gorgeous seaside view and great food! A ptown classic.

Stunning views and delicious food/drinks. Definitely pricey, but the atmosphere makes it all worth it. Pesto pasta was mouthwatering, swordfish was very tasty, and drinks were perfectly refreshing on the hot day!

We've visited their upstairs deck for years. It has gotten pricy but the harbor views are nice. We tried clam chowder and scallop rolls. Good! I had a Pina colada--my first all summer. Fine. We sat outside by bar for the gorgeous views. Bar servers were attentive in a nice way. I was with the newly weds in my family. They enjoyed and we took some nice photos of them!

Katie and Ryan are amazing!!! Katie was so outgoing and a lot of fun. Thank you so much(:

Pepe's has been around for many years with a new transition in management or ownership that has exceptionally boosted the restaurant's profile. As a group of 8 on a busy Friday night, we sat for dinner promptly at 6:00. Table was set in the far corner overlooking the sea. It was a perfect view. Ambience was lively, well dressed, and diverse. Pure PTown. I understand that the building offers two views of the sea. Ours was on the top floor. Our waiter, Alfredo, accurately recited the menu with a level of precision by which he served us with attention all night. He was accompanied by a team of 2 or 3 professional waiters, similar to what you would see in a NYC steakhouse. I had a the seared tuna (photo) and between the halibut, chicken Milanese, linguine, fish and chips, and the pecorino flatbread appetizers, we dined like royalty. Not an inexpensive dinner for sure, but not at all overpriced for PTown on a Friday night. Overall, Pepe's heightened what was a wonderful time to meet up with old friends at a venue that specializes in a dining experience emblematic of a Cape Cod summer evening.

Provincetown sure made a positive first impression on me and Jamie W. Once we got off the ferry from Boston, we walked to our Airbnb just a block off Commercial Street and was completely floored how new and beautiful the cottage was. We arrived late in the afternoon, so when we were ready for dinner, we ventured only two quick blocks to this seaside spot. There were a couple of hiccups at the outset. The hostess was quite snippy and refused to make eye contact. We were then initially seated right next to the water but got deprioritized when a party of six regulars arrived. Once we resettled at our new table, the evening proceeded just fine. We started with a couple of the $16 Mudslide Frozen Cocktails (photo: https://yelp.to/rtB7Wi5kA9). The dessert-like combination of high-kicking vodka, kahlua, Irish cream, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream just got us in the right mood for dinner. For his starter, Jamie ordered the $17 P-Town Wedge, a classic rendition with iceberg lettuce, bacon lardon, tomato, bleu cheese, and croutons (photo: https://yelp.to/7oob6VnLxl). I was more predictable and had the $10 bowl of N.E. Clam Chowder (photo: https://yelp.to/n8kzmsYtjU). Both were fine executions. For his entree, Jamie went for the $36 Miso Salmon, a generous filet atop wild rice and asparagus (photo: https://yelp.to/3IbQVHRyIr). The fish was quite tender with the miso not too overwhelming. I made a more indulgent choice and ordered the $46 Grilled Lamb Chops, tender lollipops propped up on a mound of cauliflower mash with asparagus (photo: https://yelp.to/S1Kf-rqNEu). It had been so long since my last lamb choice, so I was quite enjoying it. A nice intro to the P-Town dining scene. FOOD - 4 stars...not overly unique but well executed AMBIANCE - 4 stars...the terrace is nicely placed against the water near MacMillan Pier SERVICE - 3.5 stars...the server was nice (and the hostess was not) TOTAL - 4 stars...a fine fine dining choice in P-Town RELATED - Exploring Provincetown? A special thank you to Elia, who helped us with our reservation, accommodated a change, and even helped with a gift card. That kind of attention and care set the tone before we even arrived. We were seated upstairs in a beautiful room that felt intimate and special, perfect for celebrating the holiday. The food exceeded our expectations. We started with the crab cakes and watermelon salad, both excellent. I had the chicken, Scott had the lobster, and both were outstanding. What made the night memorable wasn't just the food, though -- it was the hospitality. You can tell when a restaurant has people who genuinely care about the guest experience, and Helltown delivered that in every way. We'll absolutely be back.

The ambience is lovely...it feels high-end without being pretentious. Food choices provide something for everyone, including those with any kind of gluten sensitivity and other dietary restrictions. Our server was excellent and all of the food was outstanding. Personally, I thought that my salmon was one of the best pieces of cooked salmon I've ever had. (I prefer my salmon raw and tend to shy away from cooked salmon because it's usually overcooked and dry.) Others at the table had the duck sliders, the special oxtail soup, the burger and a different fish dish. Rave reviews all around. Cocktails were also well done! Dessert was decadent and was plenty for sharing. I will definitely visit Joon again when I'm in town.

The green goddess dressing on the spring vegetable salad really stood out! It balanced out the sweetness of the fresh peas. I'm still thinking about the flavor on the seafood--I was practically licking the plate! My dining partner got the lamb skewer ($28) and particularly liked the side sauce it came with. We finished with the lemon tart ($13), which was like a deconstructed lemon bar. It came with a sugar cookie on the side and fresh mint. It was so good that we were scraping the bowl! The service was swift and professional. Overall, Joon's vibe is stylish, upscale, and perfect for a special night out!

EXTREMELY DISTURBING EXPERIENCE WITH THE WAITER!…read more This took place around 9:00 PM on Thursday, June 4. Our group consisted of three couples dining together. At the end of the meal, we asked if the bill could be split into thirds. Our waiter, Martin P., told us that he would not split the check and instead instructed us to write down exactly what each person ordered so that he could charge us separately. Although no other restaurant we visited in Provincetown required us to do this, we followed his instructions and listed our individual items. When Martin returned, he was visibly upset and stated that our payments were approximately $70 short. There was confusion because our group was trying to determine who had already paid, who had not, and whether something had been missed in the calculations. I even asked whether we were expected to calculate individual tax amounts ourselves, as no one knew what tax would be for each separate charge. Rather than calmly helping us resolve the discrepancy, Martin began yelling at our group. At one point he stated, "If I don't get $70, I am going to charge one of the credit cards that I have." This immediately concerned us. We were not refusing to pay. We were actively trying to understand where the discrepancy occurred and make sure the restaurant received the full amount owed. To resolve the issue, one of my friends and I went with Martin into a back room to review the charges. After reviewing everything, my friend agreed to pay the remaining balance immediately. The payment was processed and the bill was fully paid. At that point I was trying to calm the situation and bring it to a close. Instead, Martin became even more agitated and began yelling profanities at us. He shouted, "Get the f*** out of my restaurant! It's people like you why we don't split checks! You all need to get the f*** out now!" Other people started noticing this go down. We were stunned. The bill had been paid. Nobody was attempting to leave without paying. We were simply trying to resolve a billing issue after following the waiter's instructions. As we were leaving, my wife later told me that Martin placed his HAND ON HER BACK and guided her toward the exit. While it was not forceful, it felt unnecessary and added to an already hostile and intimidating experience. What happened next is why I ultimately decided to write this review. A few days later, while walking through Provincetown looking for a place to have lunch, our group passed The Mayflower Food & Drink and noticed Martin working there. When he saw us, he deliberately tapped on the glass to get our attention. After making eye contact, he made a hand gesture across his neck and pointed for us to leave and keep walking. The original incident had already ended. The bill had been paid. Yet days later he still felt the need to single out our group and signal that we were unwelcome. Had this simply been confusion over a split check, I would not be writing this review. Billing mistakes happen. What I cannot overlook is being threatened with unauthorized credit card charges, being screamed at with profanity while attempting to resolve the issue, being ordered out after the bill had been paid, Martin touching my wife, and then encountering the same employee days later making a gesture directed at our group from another restaurant. This experience was troubling enough that I believe others should be aware of it.
