Ocean 193 is an amazing seafood restaurant on the water in Provincetown. We have been here for the last 3 years on our summer vacation. It's great to be greeted by the friendly hosts, and have equally friendly servers. We like sitting on on outside deck, as they have a great view of the water. I recommend reservations. They have a full service bar and offer some great cocktails, like my favorite The Aviation. The menu is seafood forward, with many offerings. We started with the shrimp cocktail and caesar salad, but the best starter is the Salmon Sushi Blossom. Then we enjoyed the crispy nori tuna and Bulgogi cod. Both are so unique and flavorful, and are visually appealing when served. We enjoy the attentive service here, and Lian was so friendly and engaging again this year. Thank you Ocean 193! read more

I have found my new favorite restaurant in Ptown. Ocean 193 is a hidden gem with waterfront dining down a short walkway off Commercial St. The staff are very attentive and provided outstanding customer service from the host to drinks, to dessert. Everything was great and well timed. You can't beat the ambiance whether you sit inside the comfortable dining room with room to breathe between tables or on the enclosed waterfront deck. It's so pretty and relaxing. The food was amazing. Everyone says their clam chowder is the best but seriously what is in that soup. Yum! It was delicious. Tuna tartare fantastic, endive salad was delish, Wellfleet oysters from the raw bar were perfectly presented with a trio of sauces. Yum. Our entrees were equally delicious. Scallops, poke bowls and a seafood pasta that was epic. All the desserts are made in-house and ended our meal on a sweet note. Mixed Berry Napoleon, mango creme brûlée and the vegan mango tart. All thumbs up. Seriously, it is not every day that my entire crew is happy with their experience in Ptown. I'm still thinking about that bone-in ribeye I had August 23, 2025. Yes, it was THAT good. Beyond the amazing view and friendly staff, the food is delectable. I was here with a party of four, and we each had a different dish, and each of us left with full, happy bellies. I was told best to move inside but we'd still have a water view. Nope. Seated in the back of the dining room near the kitchen was a letdown. They've made an effort to renovate the former club/bar space, but the interior was less than comfortable and inviting. Sitting on the deck is surely the way to go here in warm weather. 07/26/2025 This was our first visit to Ocean 193. Sadly it was rainy and cool, so even though we were seated at a high top overlooking the beach, the tent flaps had been pulled down. But no fault there. "S" happens. My wife ordered the Wellfleet oysters which she said were very very good. I opted for a healthier Endive, pear, blue cheese salad with a very nice passionfruit vinaigrette. The lobster seafood fettuccine that my wife enjoyed and the short rib ragu pappardelle that I had were both very very good. I managed to pick a chianti that was... just ok, but again, no fault on Ocean 193 for that. Service was very good. We'd be happy to stop in again 'next time.' read more

Trying to find out if this is where we ate. Based on pictures it looks like it? We were there for lunch last week. Sat outside and it was such a nice view. I had a cranberry chicken salad sandwich and fries but don't see on current menu and my husband had a haddock sandwich and fries which I don't see on the menu. I'm sure this is where we ate though. The food was sooooo good! My chicken salad was so stuffed into a toasted hot dog roll. My husbands haddock was overflowing with goodness! Fries were perfect! The servers seemed to all work together as we didn't just have one. I hope someone can tell me if this is in fact where we ate and maybe update menu on line. read more

This restaurant has previously been a great option for someone who is vegan and gluten free. This time around, I was greatly disappointed as there was no entree that was both gf and vegan, only a vegan pasta that did not have a gf pasta option which would have been super easy to keep on hand. Came for pre-season prefixe. Food quality was poor. The lobster quesadilla was awful. Rubbery , lobster tasted off and was very unpleasant. The salad lacked dressing and the main course was mediocre at best. Our reservation was 7:30pm and they ran out of salmon - 1 of 3 options. Desert was good- both the mango and Flan option. Poor service - our waiter seemed annoyed the entire time. We live in Provincetown and support local businesses. $380 later we regret trying this place and will not return. So I don't normally give a bad review but.... This restaurant is suffering. We are seasonal locals and have been here 3-4 times this year. The menu hasn't changed so that's disappointing. We had reservations and the dining room was 60% empty the entire time. We were stuck at a crappy table on the stage which would be fine but first rule of dining room management is you treat your guest as special as possible. The manager should know our names by now as we always make a point to o say hello and shake his hand. The staff should make more of an effort to connect with the staff. We had the same waitress that we had twice last year and twice this year. We know her name and make a point to use it. I think we will not go again this season ( we are here May - November). I've been coming to Provincetown for 50 years and been to all of the "notable" restaurants many, many times. Even the notables often lack vigor, creativity, and quality service. Most of their menus are boring and haven't changed in years. That's why, it was so refreshing to find Ocean 193. Since it opened in 2019, I've been dozens of times (and brought friends and family) and each time was rewarded with delicious food, beautifully plated, and friendly, helpful, and responsive service. Prices are competitive. On top of that, the view is one of the best in town and the owner, Frank, puts everything he has into making your dining experience top notch. The raw oysters were amazing as well. Amanda ordered clam chowder as a meal. Tuna tartar for appetizer, delish!! Would we go back? In the summer for the view it would be well worth it. Eek me thinks not. The good thing about this place is that it's open all year round. So if you come during the off season, you can find dinner here. Everything else I have nothing good to say. We tried the scallops and seared cod entrees. They were small mini scallops, and a bit overcooked. They were drenched in a sweet balsamic sauce. Too much sauce and too strong ! Scallops have a subtle oceany flavor that should not be masked with so much sauce. The cod was not really seared but maybe broiled or oven baked. No skin on it. And the sauce again was way overdone. This would all be passable if the place was priced accordingly. But these are $40 entrees. So the quality is unacceptable for the high price. read more
