We loved visiting the mini version of Butter and Grace on the weekend. It was busy but we were able to get a seat right away. Super cute decor inside and there is seating outside. We love historic downtown Waxahachie so sitting outside was awesome. Wait staff is great and on it. Food is delicious! Street parking and lots of things to do around town. read more

A nice small breakfast and lunch spot. We frequent this downtown location often. Food is good. Service is extremely slow. Pretty much every time we visit our table server (and its been different ones) is always non attentive or just dog gone slow. We have made it a habit to ask for our ticket pretty much after we get our food so that we don't have to wait on it as well. read more

Kudos for restaurant to open in 2020 and make it through the pandemic. They now have four locations in area so doing great. We came here because we were hungry, social media reviews and across street from courthouse. Only downside is restroom its a one-hole bathroom in the back. On a crowded day you might have to wait. Most customers seem to favor the breakfast menu so we went for mini-plates. See photos. read more

I went to the downtown Waxahachie location today after church. This location is smaller..It's very cozy and quaint. My server was very attentive and kind. I ordered the classic breakfast... pancakes, soft scrambled eggs, sausage and hash browns. The pancakes were under, but everything else was perfect. I ordered the catfish dinner to go, only to find it was Swai... but catfish price. I thought restaurants that advertised as "catfish" vs "fish " are not supposed to false advertise as such? We've eaten at the "big" Butter & Grace several times, but tonight the kids were wanting breakfast and we decided to try out the "mini" B&G downtown since they are open on Thursday evenings, and we didn't want the usual iHOP, etc. We got there and sat down, ordered drinks and were about to order our food when the waiter said they weren't serving breakfast anymore. Needless to say our kids were upset and were about to go on strike from eating anything. So, my husband said we'll pay for the drinks and go somewhere else. The waiter came back and said they would make breakfast for our kids!! It was so nice of them to do that considering it was later in the evening and I'm sure they had all the breakfast things put away. All the food was great, the atmosphere was quaint (and located in our beautiful downtown square!) and the service obviously very accommodating. We will return again! read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. I walked in not knowing they had already closed being the restaurant was full. When I hear from across the restaurant we're closed. Ok well understandable but it was completely embarrassing when what seemed like the whole restaurant looked my way. Then another server walked up to me immediately ( while with a mouth full of food ) to also tell me they were closed . So I didn't get to try it and most likely never will now. read more

To sum it all up - first time here. Hashbrowns on both plates overcooked, bacon crisped like a chip, chilaquiles only good part was the green salsa on the chips. Eggs for both plates overcooked, biscuits were dry. Overall food was not great. For an establishment that small in size, I would've recommended downsizing the menu to focus on quality of the food. Service was mediocre- as they didn't know the "new" menu items. The place itself looked nice inside - I'm almost hesitant trying to larger location. read more

I wanted to love this "authentic" Italian restaurant but alas the only great thing about our visit was the service staff. 2 orders of chicken parm, both thin, overcooked and dry served with a few lettuce leaves (salad according to the menu). Mushroom stuffed ravioli served with no sauce, no decorative parsley. Verrry bland to say the least and the soup we ordered was broth and was cold $13! The one order of lasagna was very good and the rest of us wished we had ordered it. Very limited wine list. The birthday cheesecake was excellent, probably purchased at Costco. Cost was reasonable but this place is definitely below expectation. read more

We've visited the Mini several times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the wonderful service with waitresses and waiters that know what they're doing!! The food has always been tasteful and plentiful!! We like to also go during the evening on Wednesday thru Friday and listen to the soloist with the lights dimmed... we call it date night! The place is very nice and clean, typical cafe atmosphere, the service is superb, and they were pretty busy, however we got great service by a very handsome young man. This place has amazing biscuits and gravy, I ordered the biscuits and gravy with 2 slices of breakfast sausage ate the bottom there with a sausage and of course their delicious gravy, and brought the top home with the leftover gravy and second sausage to eat later, BTW; delicious even warmed up. My husband ordered their fried pork chops, the first time and we were NOT disappointed, DELICIOUS, not a lot of breading and they were actually seasoned, something that you don't get in a lot of restaurants, the pork chops themselves were seasoned not just the breading. The second visit out waiter suggested the chilaquiles, please try those they are incredibly delicious, I ordered the pork chops on our second visit. Looking forward to our 3rd visit. read more
