Food was pretty good, but served way below what I would call an acceptable temperature. I had the fish tacos. Three well filled tacos, with mahi, corn and black bean succotash and crema. The menu says "jalapeño crema", but I tasted only a little sweetness, no hot/spicy. The waitress offered fries, fresh cut chips, soup or a side salad. I was surprised that my salad had an up charge. When I questioned it, our waitress said it was clearly on the menu. Only one of the sandwiches listed on the website menu mentions fries or chips, and no mention of the side salad choice anywhere. I did not ask for a menu to see the note for myself . Wondering now if there was an understanding charge for soup???? My tacos were very tasty and quite filling. An order is three; I brought one home. My biggest complaint is the temperature of the food. All three of us at lunch commented that our orders were not nearly as warm as one would expect. Tempid at best. The restaurant was quite busy by the time we finished our lunches, even a short line at the door, possibly due to a shortage of wait staff or cooks as there were a few tables available. read more

I've been to Johnson's twice now. The first time we couldn't get our wrist bands to work with the taps so that was a little annoying. But once we got our drinks we stood at a high top and watched some basketball games. The second and most recent time I went, we got seated outside in the sun on a gorgeous day. Kaitlyn was our server and she was INCREDIBLE. Made the evening so much more enjoyable. Friendly, attentive, helpful. We got the pickle pizza which was good! It was really cheesy. I'd say dough was more on the chewy than crispy/firm side - which was good. Just pointing that out for future visitors! Food is decent but not anything worth going out of your way for. Bar service is slow. On three separate occasions sat at the bar for several minutes before even getting acknowledged. Sometimes it was busy, sometimes it wasn't, bar staff was just slow and seemed inexperienced. Regardless of how long it takes to get a drink a good bartender will at least let you know that they see you. If that happens I don't mind waiting at all, but when you stand there and get ignored it's difficult to excuse that. Also each time I needed a refill I had to flag the bartender down to get another drink, and this is with two bartenders and a bar back, all of which seem to have time to mess around with one another and the waitstaff instead of the patrons. Management on the floor seems non-existent. Very loud on the main floor, extremely difficult to have a conversation with someone due to the vaulted ceilings and the music. The music was... I don't even know, the volume just seemed excessive for the atmosphere. Are they trying to be a nightclub or a bar/restaurant? I'm confused. On the recommendation of our daughter, we went here for the first time. The first floor was packed and we had reservations for 2nd floor. As others have said it's more date night up there and quieter. Tim was our server and was always goid with an opinion on the selections from appetizers to entree.s. Started out with the biscuits and butter. It was a good starter for the strawberry mule and NEIPA that we had. A both ordered the seafood linguine with side salads, which were delicious. Friends highly recommended this restaurant, so we took my sister - in town from Chicago - for her birthday tonight. Imagine my embarrassment and chagrin to find we could only order from the sandwich and lunch menu, and no rooftop dining because of an "Special Event." This, after excitedly raving about this place! No seafood, no top floor dining - the best they could offer was a cod fish fry. Never going again - with them, they're DEFINITELY tailoring to a discriminating customer base, and you can be sure we weren't in their target group! The restaurant is hard to miss while driving down Route 5, but still we missed it. The name is not really visible from Route 5 and the entrance to the parking lot not that easy to find on a side street. The inside has a modern look with a huge tv screen you can't miss when you enter. It was not that busy when we arrived; about 30 minutes later the place was zooming. Our waitress was nice and attentive, she showed up within a minute and served us water right away. I ordered Wendell's Brat, a hanzlian bratwurst on a constanzo's roll. The wurst is prepared in Johnson's landing own beer and served with Weber's mustard and a small serving of sauerkraut. As a side you can get home made chips, fries, a small salad or soup. We found out by surprise that the salad is $1.50 extra (I assume the soup too). The waitress said it was on the menu, but we didn't find it on the on-line menu. The Brat tasted very good, but it was not that warm. I would say lukewarm at best and made it a mediocre experience. Johnson's Landing brews a number of beers too. I tried their Peg's Place pale ale, named after their former restaurant, just behind this new location. It is a nice and tasty beer and very drinkable. If they fix their "food temperature issues" I will be back here. PS. There are different menus, depending on which floor you are on, with different price tags. read more

The place is nice the atmosphere was great. The staff were great as well. We went to the 2nd floor first time trying out the place. I ordered a filet medium. Came out more well done, the bottom was burnt so much it's all I could taste. The lobster tail on top of the linguine was so burnt that burnt shell flakes were in the pasta. It wasn't a busy night it was a Wednesday. Both of those items should have never left the kitchen. Even the staff was showing each other how burnt it was. read more

We stopped in for lunch and the service was great. We were greeted promptly upon arrival and seated right away. The restaurant is huge offering first floor, second floor, roof and outdoor seating. The food was fantastic. Everything we ordered can out quickly and the beverage menu was extensive as well. We ordered two appetizers and three meals. All of them were excellent quality. The restaurant also offers self service beer stations, as well as, indoor and outdoor gaming areas. Such as lawn Jenga, tic tax toe and a few other. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon and would recommend you visit this gem near the lake. read more

I went here because it was new and in my backyard so why not? I was left disappointed. While I love the beer bar aspect they had way too many IPAs. I know that is personal preference but I feel there should be a wider mix of types of beer. They did have wine and a mixed drink available which was fun. The service was ok. The hostess area seemed a hot mess but to be fair it was extremely busy and since the place was new there was a lot of confusion about where to go. The waiting area was small. They do have the outdoor area you can wait in but there was confusion as to whether you could go out there before your table was called. There was also confusion about the whole two-restaurant thing. The upstairs is a separate space. Neither take reservations so be prepared to wait a long time. I only visited the first floor so I can not speak to the other areas but the noise level was insane. They build these new places with high open celings, glass walls (for the view of course) and concrete floors. The sound just bounces everywhere and with a full house, we could not hear each other talk at all. The food was nothing to write home about. Nothing you can't get at any other Buffalo establishment. The menu for upstairs looks expensive so if we do come back it will only be for a special occasion. It is def not a place I would think of going for a random dinner. It is very much a destination event type of place. Not my cup of tea. read more

This recent addition to Hamburg is beautifully constructed with three floors to explore, all of which have outdoor seating. There is a different menu for the first floor and the second floor, which they don't tell you when you check in after entering. So be mindful when you go and maybe take a look online to see which might interest you, although they are largely the same. We waited two hours for a table for four. I received a message that we had only one group waiting ahead of us and asking me to confirm we were still waiting, which I did. Then, nothing. I got another text saying we were off the waitlist. We went to the host stand and were told we only had five minutes to get back to the stand after we received a notice our table was ready, but the obvious problem was we never received any such message. They ended up seating us, but the glitch needs to be fixed. The one hostess was very kind and said it's an ongoing issue, but the other was rude. Our server was good but clearly overwhelmed. The food we ordered was good, and I would definitely get the pizza again. We wanted to order dessert, but we were told it was too late even though they just sat a table next to us. I hope these were all just kinks that will get worked out as they are open longer, because the venue itself is great with beautiful views of Lake Erie. Incredible waterfront edition for Buffalo, really cool, uppity, atmosphere, and simply incredible food menu on the main floor!

To start off this place is HUGE. There are 3 levels and they are all nice with different offerings. The patio on the first floor is really nice and large with plenty of seating. The drinks here are good. My fiancé tried their NEIPA and really enjoyed it. I got the sun drop and it was delicious. The staff is friendly. Although we weren't hungry enough to eat anything they had a large and very appealing menu. Great place. read more

Go for the view and you will never want to leave. Nice options on multi-levels. I only wish we were able to eat on the 3rd floor since it has the best views, but a good time nonetheless. The first floor has a full restaurant and bar with more casual food and both indoor and outdoor dining available. If you want some recreation, cornhole and large connect 4 are available. This past Friday me and my wife came here and Loved everything about this restaurant. Everyone made me and my wife feel welcomed with constantly getting attended to. Starting with host letting us know the wait time would be ten mins and that there were only two servers and offered us seats at the bar in which we took. The bartender asked if we were interested in drinks and let us know about the drinks we inquired about then gave us a food and drink menu. We were indecisive on having mamosas or mojitos and we chose the mojitos. We looked at all the flavors and I wanted the strawberry and she said that she has only had bad experiences with strawberry mojitos and the bartender said that strawberry mojitos was his specialty and got it on the menu for vday in which we hope it's their to stay and he gets a percentage of every strawberry mojitos bought since he changed my wife's perception of strawberry mojitos. Hers was good as well although I forgot which one she ordered. The tables were then ready and unfortunately still had crumbs on them so they gave us another table and immediately wiped down the first one and the second one had crumbs as well and we went back to the first table and the second one was immediately wiped down. For how busy the place was with only two servers working with no busser it was no issues since they've expeditiously corrected the issue. I ordered a house burger which was the second one on the menu and it came with two long pieces of jalapeños that I thought was pickles until my wife told me what they were so being scared to bite into it, I just tasted the juice off of it in which was spicy and made me scared to bite into it. The burger was perfectly cooked and the fries were so amazing. We split sandwiches and I had some of her fries with gravy and fried cheese curds and it was amazing! The chicken sandwich that she ordered was amazing as well, fried with a crisp. We wanted to try the calamari but the upstairs was closed during the time we went so we will be back to try that. I love the fancy sinks in their bathroom as well as the smell of their soap. The atmosphere was clean and everything was organized as well. I moved to the area 4 months ago and the Friday before Memorial Day weekday was shaping up to be a wonderful day. I was looking for someplace to celebrate happy hour with my girlfriend and drove by a couple dive bars. We stopped by at 4 and found parking at the door and were welcomed with friendly smiles and a bright and clean atmosphere. I inquired about sitting outside, eating a lite meal and kicking back with some cocktails afterward. They shuttled us up to a table on the second floor patio where we overlooked the lake and had a delicious meal. I had the scallops and my date had the Ahi Tuna appetizer. Food was tasty, well presented and arrived shortly after ordering. Our hostess was back checking on our water and second round of drink. I had a blue margarita called the lake effect and was delighted. After our meal we went up to the third floor and kicked back on their rooftop patio and relaxed in the sun with an upscale crowd. I truly appreciated the breathtaking view, the attentiveness of the staff and the cleanliness of the establishment. I ate lunch here a few time and had similar experiences with the quality of food and service. My girlfriend is already planning to bring her parent here when they visit. My bartender dropped my orange peel on the floor, then picked it up, looked me in the eyes as I questioned him still actually burning it and putting it in my drink; and this ignorant, scummy, unsanitary bartender, served me that drink. The restaurant itself is an industrial warehouse style...white walls with black and metal furniture. Very modern and attractive. Complaint is most tables are high which is difficult for people who have physical mobility problems. They will not take reservations only 15+. The first floor is the only one serving for lunch so the view is limited. The second floor isn't open until 4:00 and will take reservations. We sat closer to the front windows and because we had six we could only get the high level. The room was so noisy we couldn't hear each other at the other end of the table. The prices are at the higher end for lunch mostly $16 up! The 1 out of 6 enjoyed their meal. The pizza which was larger than a personal and had a fluffy light crust. Two had the steak sandwiches $20 each and they said they were hard to cut as they took the second half off the roll. Two had the specials which were "okay". One had a veggie wrap but said it was not great and was too spicy for her. The wraps were both $16. "Had better for $12 at other restaurants". The accompaniment was chips or fries. Of the two the fries were some of the best not frozen and excellent! The chips were the homemade style but I was told they were thick, hard, stale tasting, and no flavor. Maybe going for dinner you would have a view higher up. They said they offered a different menu but not sure what. The third floor is supposed to be a great view it's a rooftop but they don't serve food up there! Our waitress was great and helpful. When we first arrived there were three servers who were at the desk. They did not seem accommodating when we asked for lower seating and said it would be a minimal hour wait. I asked if we could have made reservations to get lower seating but said only if we were 15. Then realized later there was only one lower table for eight and the other lower chairs were for 4. For such a large place the bar took up a great portion of the floor. Needless to say it was a disappointment after all the hype. Because of the echoing and noise we probably won't give it another try. read more
