Took my Toyota in for its 60,000 mile maintenance, they gave me a receipt stating they did the work but absolutely nothing was done for 900$ I got completely screwed my boy friends new Chevy truck was also taken there for the same thing they did not do anything to his truck either he actually had to have his transmission replaced because they said they did the transmission fluid on my truck and his truck and nothing was done. They're a complete crooks. Do not go there.. if I could rate with no stars that's what i would choose terrible business!!! read more

I highly recommend Johnson's Auto Repair in Clovis for their workmanship, honesty and frankly, goodness shown to their customers. I rolled through town from a snowy mountainous area and my brakes were making a noise. The pads were good but I wondered if I was in need of new rotors. They worked me right in, pulled it all apart and told me all was fine; that it was road sand and salt causing the noise. NO CHARGE. I've had other work done there and was always happy but this proved they're honest and even more than that-kind. They could've charged me for their time but didn't. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Just before the 4th of July Holiday I noticed an over-heating problem. Since I had sold my older vehicles several years ago (which needed repairs often) it took me a minute to remember what a great place Johnson's is, and to call them. They got my car in right away, fixed, and back to me before the long weekend. I had forgotten what a joy this place is to deal with. Rather than try to gouge customers with unneeded repairs, they do an honest job, diagnosing the problem from the least expensive, easiest to fix first. Angie (the customer contact) always does what she says she will do. If she says she will call before noon, she calls. My latest visit sparked a memory of bringing my son's car there once. It didn't pass smog and I had no idea what the problem might be. I dropped the car off, anxious about the extent of work the old vehicle may require. My son and I went to lunch and before our food even came, Angie called saying we could pick it up - it just needed a new gas cap. Having car issues is never pleasant, but knowing I can trust Johnson's make it so much easier! I highly recommend Johnson's to everyone! read more

Battery died with no warning Showed up at Johnson's Auto Repair after having PAT's Towing gave us a jump start with a dead battery, so we couldn't shut the engine off without needing another jump start. They immediately got us in and replaced the battery and got us on our way. This is a small business owned and operated by the same family for 2 or 3 generations and you feel it immediately upon entering. Their service is unmatched! They provide quality work at an incredibly reasonable price. You never know these days if you're getting what you paid for... I've been to service shops who won't even touch my car and send me to the dealer. But these guys provide nothing short of 10/10 work. The best, I would never take my car anywhere else if I weren't moving out of state! A coworker recommended them but I wasn't sold until I took my car in for a second opinion after my AC stopped working and the dealer told me I needed to replace the compressor. Turned out it was actually just a loose connection, their honesty save me a ton a money and made me loyal for life. Prices are fair, work is fast and my car has been in awesome shape since I started coming here. They are a small family business and will take so much better care of you than some big corporate chain whose business model depends on ripping off as many customers as possible. I came to Fresno on business. The fuel filters had to be changed on my 2018 Ram 1ton. Tim ordered filters, he let me go finish what I had to do. This shop is the bomb, the people there are awesome. From the lady that runs the front office to the mechanics in the shop. I took my 2011 Dodge Challenger-V6 There with a code P0302 thinking that they were going to have to replace the head's and do a lot of work on that thing, I was quoted $2700.00 however the mechanic did some research on the car and found out that it was covered under factory warranty so they actually saved me a hell of a lot of money along with getting reimbursed from the dealership for having them look at the car. If you need work done on your vehicle I definitely, definitely, definitely recommend this shop. If you take your car anywhere else you would be foolish. When my car first started messing up on me I had it towed to another shop where they quoted me $3300 to fix it that shop was blackstone and tire. I do not recommend you taking your car there to Blackstone tire, give Johnny's auto repair in Clovis California a chance to show you what they do best. You guys are awesome if I lived here year-round, anytime I had a problem you guys would definitely be my full-time shop. I called early Saturday morning asking if they could look at my car as the "check engine" light had gone on the eve before. They looked at my car within 15 min of my arrival. Every 10-15 min, they updated me as to where they were in the diagnostic process. They diagnosed the problem, quoted me a very fair price, and fixed the issue all within a total time of one hour.
