Today, 4 years post surgery, I'm 230 pounds, 2XL shirt, 42" jeans, off of the joint and back pain medicine, on one blood pressure medicine at 10 mg, and no longer a pre-diabetic. This surgery saved and changed my life. I had my surgery on a Monday around Noon, and Big Boy from REAL 92.3 watched my surgery, as miVIP wanted to advertise on his show. I was released at 6 am on Tuesday. I was walking around the Santa Ana Zoo on Friday with my granddaughter and back to work the following Monday. I had no issues, no dumping, no nausea, no diarrhea, not a single issue. A few weeks after my surgery, I went on Big Boys show to tape a radio commercial, and then a few weeks after that I was in a commercial shoot for the clinic. It has truly been a blessing and a life changer, and I am forever grateful and thankful for the staff (Aubrey and Olga), my nurse Alma, and Dr. Bobby. I still stay in touch with Olga who became a great friend during my visits and remains a great friend to this day.

Going in, I had a lot of anxiety as I knew how difficult the recovery from hemorrhoid surgeries could be. I decided to seek out Dr Chung as my surgeon in hopes of a smoother recovery. He provided detailed pre-op and post-op instructions which eased my anxiety a bit. I also like that he uses fancy stuff like laser, botox, and Exparel to aid in the recovery. By all accounts my surgery was successful. Nevertheless, as my luck would have it, I ended up having complications and subsequently had a really difficult months-long recovery. During that time, Dr Chung regularly checked in on me and provided professional guidance on when to get labs, when to start antibiotics, or when to seek additional medical advice. He was knowledgeable and empathetic towards my struggles. He also filled out my SDI application/extension and work accommodation without hesitation. During my times of need, having a surgeon that is easily reachable by phone was beyond helpful. Dr Chung doesn't take insurance and his fees can be a bit steep. However, if you have the means, I highly recommend him as he is truly an outstanding colorectal surgeon who puts a lot of care into his patients.

Seven months after surgery, I feel ready to share my full experience and reflect on this journey…read more Over those seven months, Dr. Chung saw me a total of seven times, with countless text messages in between. He was always responsive, patient, and reassuring. I will never forget that he even saw me the day before Thanksgiving, bringing his young boys along because he had no childcare. That moment showed me the kind of person he is. Most of my appointments were on Saturday evenings, the only time my husband could drive me. I still remember pulling up to his clinic, a clean, safe, quiet building, with his car often the only one in the parking lot. Despite the late hours, he never once rushed an appointment. I always felt fully cared for. By the end of this process, I truly believe he saved me from what could have been a very dangerous situation had I followed the original surgical plan in my home state. Dr. Chung is warm, knowledgeable, deeply empathetic, and kind. When he says his services are a flat fee, he truly means it. There were no surprise charges, no added fees at any point in the process, and no pressure. I never felt neglected or forgotten. What stands out most now, looking back after 7 months, is not just the care I received in the moment, but the way he guided my healing over time. He never rushed the process or pushed me toward timelines that did not feel right for my body. My recovery was based on how my body healed, not dictated by insurance timelines. If you are hesitant about paying out of pocket, ask yourself what your health and your life are worth. Today, I can say I am completely healed, and that outcome means everything. I am incredibly grateful.

As I needed several referrals to specialists and medications refills. I didn't hear back from them for a week, and my prescriptions were never sent to the pharmacy. I had to contact the office due to their lack of communication. Nothing was done on their behalf until i contacted the office. I was even told at one point the doctor did send my prescriptions, but we're not received on the other end. I find this difficult to believe because shortly after, they continued asking about what pharmacy I utilize. I have already designated a pharmacy when filling out my new patient packet. Also, the doctor and staff confirmed my pharmacy during my appointment. I've been going back and forth since. It's been 13 days since my initial visit, and I haven't had a resolution. Sadly, my previous physician is no longer accepting my medical insurance. So, I was forced to seek medical care elsewhere. Moreover, prior to my appointment with Dr. Khan, my previous physician attempted to contact Dr. Khan's office to send my medical history and medication history. However, the office failed to return their call. As a medical professional, this is unacceptable. Furthermore, to add to my struggle. 10/10 - Absolutely Obsessed with My Results! (8 Weeks post op)…read more I am beyond happy with my breast augmentation from Dr. K -- I'm literally obsessed! He did the most perfect job in my opinion, and I feel so sexy, feminine, and confident in my new bralette. I'm also so glad I didn't go too big. At first, I wanted 480cc's, but a week before surgery, Dr. K suggested we go with 450cc's for the most natural, flattering look. Best decision ever! We went under the muscle with gummy implants, and the results are flawless. From start to finish, Dr. K has been amazing. He answers every single question I have -- whether it's over text, FaceTime, or in person. If I want to stop by the office, he gets me in right away. His bedside manner is unmatched, and I've felt 100% comfortable and cared for every step of the way. I had a consultation with a "famous" Instagram surgeon before choosing Dr. K, and honestly, there's no comparison. Dr. K's skill, attention to detail, and genuine care for his patients are what really matter -- not Instagram followers. I've already told all my friends they need to go to him. My only regret is not doing this sooner! I'm also so glad I stayed local instead of going out of the country for a cheaper price. Being able to have in-person follow-ups with my surgeon has been invaluable for my healing process and peace of mind. If you're even thinking about getting a breast augmentation, do it -- and do it with Dr. K. I am so, so, so, so, so happy with my decision and I would recommend him a thousand times over.

I'd…read morelike to start by saying that the office staff was always very kind. 360 TUMMY TUCK: 7/10 For the most part, I am still very happy with the tummy tuck procedure. I did have a complicated recovery with necrosis of the belly button, but you would not be able to tell now. My scars are alright, I've definitely seen much better... but I tattooed over mine anyway so it didn't matter much to me. However, during the consultation I made it a huge point that there was a part of my lower back that I was very unhappy with. Dr K documented and explained that it would be lipo'd and he would excise it if necessary. I have a scar in the area, but it looks like it wasn't touched AT ALL. Definitely no lipo in the area, just a normal tummy tuck scar, but it doesn't go all the way under the area of concern. So it looks like he left it untouched. When I brought this up at my several post op appointments, he told me to wait a year. After a year, he brushed it off. I am now left with this incredibly awkward small lump right above my butt crack that has left me incredibly insecure. BREAST IMPLANTS AND NIPPLE LIFT: 1/10 I already had breast tissue (about a 36 C) but deflated after weight loss. I really wanted to fill them back up and make them perky again. Because of how deflated they were, I was expecting to get a breast lift, which other surgeons also mentioned to me. During the consultation, Dr K was very adamant that he would NOT do a lift, because I was in my early 20's. His reasoning was that they would need to be redone after I had kids... so I told him that I do not plan to have children. He told me that I might change my mind - which is absolutely NOT for him to decide or even have a say in. He told me he could do a nipple lift on my right side and it would make them look even and perky without the lift. I trusted him. My nipple is now OVAL ladies. OVAL. Completely mismatched. Extremely embarrassing. I also have had rippling, it feels like the implants are underfilled. I can literally crunch the bags and you can see it. When I lay down, they go to the side completely and my chest is flat. When I bend forward, they droop and look absolutely disgusting. I was also very concerned about the left breasts shifting so much to the side when I work out, that it completely deforms and pulls the bag. He told me "you can't work out your chest." This was a YEAR after surgery. He literally said I cannot work out, and that was the answer. Six years later and I have extremely heavy, sagging implants that are weighing my chest down. My nipples fall over the crease of my breast, and it's extremely uncomfortable and they've made me feel so embarrassed. I am now having to save money to get the lift that I should have gotten 6 years ago, and hoping that another doctor can fix my nipple and the underlying damage. I will never get these past 6 years back (and the next few years that I spend saving up.) So I hope this saves someone else.

I'm an avid hiker that was living with a bilateral inguinal hernia for years. For the longest time,…read moreI didn't worry about them because they didn't really bother me, other than the fact that they weren't pretty to look at. I knew the day would eventually come for surgery, so I went online and searched for a doctor that specializes in hernia repair. I found a doctor who I thought was one of the best out there, Dr. Harris from California Hernia Specialists in Newport Beach, CA. He provides a collection of information and videos on his website that come from his years of performing hernia surgeries. Well, the day did finally come when my hernias did start to hurt, so I made the call to Dr. Harris. Within a week, I had a consultation, and 25 days later, July 31, 2026 to be exact, Dr. Harris did the laparoscopic procedure. Recovery was easy and I would say pain-free with over-the-counter pain medication. Having done the surgery, I wished I had it done years ago, from a purely aesthetic point of view. I may even have been foolish to have waited so long in case they became life-threatening. I took 3 weeks off from hiking on the advice of Dr. Harris, and now I'm back out there doing my usual hikes and other activities with no discomfort. I took his advice about icing the surgical area for almost two days and nights. Here's my advice on icing: Purchase five or six small frozen bags of sweet corn. Frozen sweet corn stays frozen longer than peas because of its density. Put boxer shorts on and then put tighty-whitey underwear on over the boxer shorts. Slip the frozen corn between the two layers of underwear to avoid direct contact with your skin. Take the recommended dosage of Tylenol and set the timer for 3 hours. When the timer goes off, remove the sweet corn package and replace it with another package of frozen sweet corn. Now take Ibuprofen and reset the timer for another 3 hours. Repeat this cycle every 3 hours. When placing the frozen sweet corn back in the freezer for reuse, be sure to flatten down the package so it's not lumpy when you take it out for later use. I did this round the clock. My bedroom is upstairs, and I had no problem whatsoever going downstairs to grab another bag of frozen sweet corn. BTW, at the end of each 3-hour session, the sweet corn was still cold, not frozen, but still cold. One other piece of advice: purchase a bottle of Phillips Milk of Magnesia. I needed to empty my bowels 24 hours after the surgery, and the stool softener tablets I had taken earlier weren't doing anything, and I was beginning to feel uncomfortable. 30 minutes after taking the Milk of Magnesia, my bowels cleared, and I was back to being regular again. Above all, follow Dr. Harris's advice; he knows what he's talking about because he's seen/heard it all from patients that followed his advice and those who didn't. When I went in for my initial consultation with Dr. Harris, it felt like I had known him for years. The reason being I had watched many of his videos over the years before having him perform the procedure. On the day of the surgery, I had no worries at all because I knew I was in the best of hands with Dr. Harris.
