I had my gastric sleeve by Dr. Bobby on 3.23.15. Today is my 4 year anniversary. I was 320 pounds, a 4XL shirt, 52" jeans, on joint pain, back pain, two blood pressure medicines at 40 mg each, and a pre-diabetic. I did get down to 217 (- 103 pounds). Today, 4 years post surgery, I'm 230 pounds, 2XL shirt, 42" jeans, off of the joint and back pain medicine, on one blood pressure medicine at 10 mg, and no longer a pre-diabetic. This surgery saved and changed my life. I had my surgery on a Monday around Noon, and Big Boy from REAL 92.3 watched my surgery, as miVIP wanted to advertise on his show. I was released at 6 am on Tuesday. I was walking around the Santa Ana Zoo on Friday with my granddaughter and back to work the following Monday. I had no issues, no dumping, no nausea, no diarrhea, not a single issue. A few weeks after my surgery, I went on Big Boys show to tape a radio commercial, and then a few weeks after that I was in a commercial shoot for the clinic. I have been working with miVIP for the past 2 years now on my weightloss journal and it has been amazing. Having had 5 previous surgeries for hernia repairs and the repair of a badly broken wrist in 2014 I was once again faced with surgery in January of 2019. This time I had a diagnosis of prostate cancer. After learning of this condition in mid 2018 my wife and I began to search for the best surgeon and facility to perform this delicate robotic surgery. We met with various surgeons from OC Urology group operating from Hoag, USC-Keck and UCI. Each surgeon provided a different perspective on the manner in which the operation would be performed including their opinion on node removal and nerve sparing so important to male sexual function. The selection of the miVIP Surgery Center in Tustin was far and away the absolute best decision my wife and I could have ever made during one of the most difficult periods in our 40 year relationship. Cancer afflicts an individual but it also puts a heavy load on loved ones and they need comfort as well as the patient. While the nursing staff and facilities were fine, I keep getting outrageous bills from them 8 months after my surgery. I don't owe them anything. I have called dozens of times at about 8 different phone numbers and cannot reach anyone over the last 6 months. The phone either keeps ringing without answering or I get disconnected. If anyone from the company reads these reviews, you have serious problems. You need to resolve this. I need to speak to someone about canceling what I owe. read more

BLUF: Best Medical Experience Ever! If they agree to take you on as a patient (that is, if you have good insurance and aren't extremely high risk), DO IT! I came to MiVIP Surgery center on the recommendation of my PCP, who was familiar with the group and knew that I was struggling with my weight. By "struggling," I mean I was pretty huge -- somewhere between 315 and 320 when I opted to for surgery (my all-time high: 335). The dirty secret of obesity is that everything in a fat person's body begins to deteriorate much more quickly than people who weigh less. Everything hurt. Life became increasingly difficult. The great thing about MiVIP is that they took a holistic approach to my treatment, using best-in-class medical providers every step of the way. Based on my description of what I was experiencing during a very detailed set of examinations, my treatment coordinator, Audrey, made arrangements for me to see: a cardiologist (for stress tests), an orthopedist (who made custom insoles that dramatically helped by aching feet and back), a sports medicine doctor (who helped with my knees), a nutritionist MD, (who gave me a diet plan that I followed for the six months prior to surgery), an internal medicine doctor, Dr. Contreras (who monitored my progress and answered my medical questions during my six month on the nutrition plan), a sleep specialist doctor (who diagnosed my sleep apnea in MiVIP's overnight sleep center and gave me the latest model CPAP machine), a general surgeon, Dr. Pearl (who identified a problem with and removed my gall bladder at the same time as my gastric sleeve surgery), IN ADDITION to my bariatric surgeon, Dr. Bhaskar-Rao (who performed my gastric sleeve surgery in MiVIP's robotic surgery center). Sounds like a lot, right? Well, it was. But MiVIP were so terrific that I felt comforted the entire way through. The MiVIP staff, particularly Olga and Audrey, became not just care givers, but friends. During my monthly visits, they were always caring and supportive. I felt like they were really pulling for me in my efforts to improve my lifestyle. Olga and Audrey even stopped by the surgery center on the day of my surgery to say "hi". Very kind and genuine. I am grateful. Same experience with Dr. Bhaskar-Rao - he made sure I was doing well during our pre- and post-surgery follow ups and made himself far more available than I would have expected. Again, a remarkable degree of personal care for which I am very grateful. But I digress. MiVIP's facilities in Tustin (the medical center and surgery center are across the courtyard from each other on the first floor of a larger medical complex) are elegant and extremely clean. The waiting rooms (near mirror images of each other) each give the impression of a high-end spa - marble, chrome & glass with TVs and modern-style couches. Nice and, in my experience, never crowded. More important, the aforementioned Olga and Audrey, are almost always waiting for you at the front desk of the medical center. The staff of the surgery center are also top notch. For fear of going on too long, let me just say that the surgery center is outstanding...nice pre-op room, two surgery bays, and four private recovery rooms. All are very well cared for and up to date. Again, I couldn't ask for a better experience. Highly recommended in all aspects. read more

Very disappointed. Very unprofessional. Drove all the way down there only to find Dr.wasnt taking my case. Of course dr refused to speak to me instead spoke with in billing who knew nothing. Did not know why nobody contacted me. Did not know why my attorney was told I could come in only to be rejected. Did not know why office staff was unable to confirm that my appointment was confirmed. I was so nervous going into this surgery, but the girls in the office were so understand and nice that it relieved my stress and anxiousness. The office is very clean and amazing to know I could see every type of physician in one place. Dr. Bobby was always available to speak with me whenever I needed him. I had an umbilical hernia repair last January at this place and was told there would be no out of pocket expense to me. Today May 10,2019 I receive an explanation of benefits from my health insurance. MiVIP charged my insurance 10 times what my procedure should have cost. I will contact my insurance company tomorrow to see what must've done to these thieves and liars. I can't believe they got away with charging an astronomical amount for a simple hernia repair. I had a procedure don't at mivip surgery center in 2014. That was my first surgery I have ever had and I was a nervous wreck and anxious. The staff at the surgery center treated me with kindness and made me feel at ease with providing me with comfort. The anesthesiologist (dr. I am 3 weeks post my Robotic Laparoscopic surgery to remove endometriosis. I never thought this day would come, where I would find a experienced surgeon Dr Marc Winter and an amazing surgery team whom could help me. It had been a long journey of pain, doubt and uncertainty. I want to thank Dr Winter and miVIP surgery for taking such great care of me. Surgery was a success. Recovery has been one of the easiest I've ever experienced. Because they used the Robot I have 4 small incisions only on my belly with no visible stitches. One incision is even hidden in my belly button. I had no bruising and minimal discomfort. I was back to work in a few days. If anyone is considering surgery I highly recommend this surgery center and Dr Marc Winter for any gynecology procedures. My best advice to women who are struggling with pelvic pain is to never give up! I am so grateful for the wonderful care I received at miVIP surgery center for my surgery back in November. I was suffering from pain and discomfort for a couple years. I was in need of a doctor whom could help me and listen to my concerns. I found miVIP Surgery Center and was able to get a second opinion with miVIP Surgeon Dr. Lent. He and the miVIP team listened to me, showed compassion and care. In November 2016 I had a painful cyst removed. i created an Yelp account just so i could write about my experience with miVIP. I have so many amazing things to say about the miVIP Medical Group Clinic in Tustin. I have not had the pleasure to have a surgery done but if i need one i will for sure go through miVIP Surgery Center. I have heard amazing things about the surgery center from patients who gone through a surgery.I have been coming here for a few years now and i have never been to a clinic that is so welcoming and sweet as you step through the front doors. They know your name and make you feel like you are coming to a friends house and not a clinic. When you wait in the waiting room to be seen, the staff will take the time to talk to you and get to know each patient that comes in. i have never experience this much of kindness from any clinic that i have even been to. i have talked to some other patients while i was waiting to be seen to see if i was the only one that was feeling this kind of care (since i have been a patient for a few years now) or is everyone gets the same treatment..and they all say amazing things about the clinic girls. The clinic girls work so hard and still have the time to make you not feel rushed. this clinic also provides so many different specialties and they are sure a one stop shop. i like how the doctors that i have seen have never pressured me to do surgeries but would follow up with me every few months to see how things are going and if i have any questions. i have recommended miVIP to so many of my family and friends. i truly want to thank the girls in the clinic for everything that they have done. read more
