This was my first visit to a Jollibee. The staff was pleasant and prompt and my meal came out quickly. I ordered an original two piece chicken meal. The chicken was crunchy & moist but nothing outstanding. I had the adobo rice as a side, it was very tasty. My favorite part of the meal was the gravy. This herby chicken gravy is one of the best restaurant gravies I have ever had. All in all a good fast food meal. I like that they have the options of recycling, composting & landfill for the trash. We had previously tried their chicken tenders that were cooked to order. We found the chicken fresh and having good flavor. We decided to try one of their other chicken meals. Terrible! 6/23/22 I was really looking forward to eating here and comparing it to Chick-fil-A. I can't totally say it's better but I enjoyed it as much. When we walked in the place was immaculate. We were greeted nicely by the shift manager Lynn, she was amazing. I told her we have never eaten there and she explained what they offer and about the special. Excellent customer service. We didn't have to wait long for our lunch and our order to take home for my son. The spicy chicken sandwich is delicious and loved the dipping sauces. Compared to many other fried chicken places, personally I really like eating here. The fried chicken is tender and juicy, the meat is not dry, the seasoning is not too salty, very tasty & the mashed potatoes are beyond words. Friendly service read more

Ordered food today but gravy lid was not closed right. It spilled in the bag and have to wipe clean the food container inside the bag. So please, Jollibee crew, it doesn't need a lot of effort just to close the gravy lid and place it inside the food bag with care. Jollibee I'm so happy you're in Bakersfield! Anytime we go out of town and drive back in, we try to make a stop at Jollibees to take some chicken joy home. Glad we can now just drive up the street to grab chicken joy. Yes it's not an authentic Filipino restaurant, but it's nice to see our culture made it on a fast food chain. I think it's pretty neat. I believe their chicken is comparable to the other chicken bucket guys. I still love the other guys, but the chicken here is bomb w that gravy. Don't listen to me though, check it out for yourself. They have a lot of other items available for everyone. Make sure to get the kids Filipino spaghetti. Yes it's not an authentic Italian spaghetti, but I grew up loving hotdogs in spaghetti haha. They also have pancit palabok. I think it's okay, I prefer the one from home, but it's not bad. The beef steak w white rice is also a childhood favorite. Honestly, I would never think to see this on a menu since it's just something the nanays put together quickly to feed you. The adobo rice is good, I wish it was a little more saucy but you can definitely taste the yummy garlic. Please don't skip on dessert. Make sure to check out the mango pie and sometimes during the year they have the Ube pie which I was able to finally try recently. I visited recently and wanted halo-halo but apparently they don't have it all the time, so make sure you check that out when they have it back. Yes, it's nicer to make your own so you can control what you want to put in it, but the one from here is really good too. I saw other reviews where they said they didn't have certain items or the line was long, but they have the items now and the line isn't long anymore, so give them another shot. I was craving jolibee and noticed there wasn't a line so I decided to go through the drive thru. Honestly a bad decision. Their full menu wasn't on the drive thru menu so I had to ask if they had a 3 piece meal. I ordered 2 sides with the meal thinking they had corn but they didn't. So I decided to get fries and adobo rice. I ordered 3 pieces, spicy. I ordered a peach mango pie with my meal as well and when I got home found no peach mango pie, the chicken was not spicy it was regular even though it had the flag it was spicy, and stale French fries. Hugely disappointed in my meal and the fact there was no one else in line they should've taken extra time to ensure my items were in the bag. Some say it would be my fault but honestly, I shouldn't have to go all the way home to discover some of my order missing. read more

Might be the best Jollibee I have been to in CA. First thing is the amazing service. Everyone was very friendly. Second, they keep it very clean. Finally, tasty food that comes out piping out. Time to dispel a myth ... Jollibee chicken isn't all that good. After hearing so much about it on YT I decided to check out their Bako location. I only wanted to try a couple of pieces of chicken as their sides didn't look all that good, but sadly they didn't have any a la carte options so I went with a two-piece meal ($11) that came with a side, biscuit, drink, and dessert pie. Service was friendly and my food came out pretty quickly. I dove right into the chicken and knew immediately there was nothing special going on here. My first thought was "Not as good as Popeye's." The meat was kind of fatty and gelatinous and reminded me of the low-quality chicken you sometimes find at inexpensive Chinese buffets. The coating was pretty standard for fried chicken and didn't stand out in any particular way. But Jolli has a secret weapon that I suspect is the reason for their popularity ... they've got a killer gravy. Dip their mediocre chicken in that savory, intensely flavorful elixir and it kicks the whole experience up to another level. In fact, if you're factoring in the gravy, I think Jolli chicken slightly edges out Popeye's. Unfortunately, the biscuit was rock hard and pretty much inedible and the mashed potatoes had an unpleasant gummy consistency. The peach-mango pie was quite good, but on the small side. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Jollibee, but I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon (except maybe to get some gravy to go). read more

Food taste is just okay for me, nothing special. We ordered chicken and palabok (noodles), the chicken was dripping in oil when served, the palabok noodles was good, however, the amount or quantity of food will not satisfy an average size adult. I can't believe I haven't posted a review for Jollibee yet! I haven't tried their dine in service but my daughter and I did the drive through and we were happy with our order. Palabok was tasty and came with lemon juice in small packets, chickenjoy was juicy and the skin is how we liked it, crispy, and goes perfectly well with the gravy that was included, and the pies had that delicious peach and mango filling, contained in a perfect crust that stayed good even after days. I'm still waiting for them to have the Jolly hotdog and the Amazing Aloha yumburger and it's gonna be even much better! read more

I'm not sure if they were short staffed or training because I went through the drive thru line it took a few time of "holding on" from the cashier, however I wasn't in a hurry and had all the time in the world so it want a problem. I ordered a small spaghetti a classic chicken sandwich with fries and drink. Spaghetti had cheese and pieces of what I think was hot dog, it was okay not bad at all I'd order it again. Chicken sandwich was very tasty, I'll get the spicy one next time. The fries were not my thing. They taste almost exactly like Carl's Jr. Fries which are not my fave. We had a bucket of their Spicy Chickenjoy. So good! And definitely a unique kind of spice that I haven't had at any other fried chicken joints. So awesome to see and experience especially since they've been super busy during their first 4 days of operation. We came to buy some Peach Mango Pies for us and a friend. Actually coming here today was not part of the itinerary. We just wanted to check out how busy they are. When I saw that there were only a few cars in the drive-thru, I immediately turned into the parking lot. Turns out that there dining area was now open, but I was already in the drive thru. They said that we came at the perfect time cause that was the least busy they'd been since opening. Usually when we go to any Jollibee in the U.S., we have to order Chicken Joy, Palabok, and Peach Mango Pie. This time we only ordered the Peach Mango pies and the Burger Steak for our niece. We were hoping to buy some Ube Pies too, but they have a limited menu right now so they were not available. Hopefully, they will serve those plus some of their delicious Filipino breakfast entrees in the future too! The fried Peach Mango pies were as YUMMY as always!!! Our family and I tried this place for the first time, and defnitely was not impressed at all. My husband ordered a burger with everything on it, was so so small!!! size of a mini burger!!! He was horrified, and so dissapointed more so shocked then anything. The place was ok, the decor and all, they managed to mess up my order. The chicken was not anything special and they only do legs and thighs no breasts or wings. A Total Bummer. The sides were OK. The service was lacking could have been way way better.
