Came here and waited about forty-five minutes, which wasn't bad considering the wait had been longer for others (so I've heard and seen). We ordered a little bit of everything here: spicy chicken, adobo rice, spaghetti, palabok, burger steak, mashed potatoes, fries, and peach mango pie. The chicken is FIRE (literally). Ok, it's not that spicy, but it does have a good kick and great flavor. The fries were okay, the mashed potatoes above average, and the adobo rice very good. The burger steak is surprisingly delicious; it reminded me of Salisbury steak with a good flavor. The palabok is kinda meh. The spaghetti is good, not great-it has a sweet flavor. So excited it's here! Like all new chains in satx, there will be a wait. Mine was only an hour so I suggest getting there before the after work crowd. Currently limited to under $60 orders and 1 order per person. I got the spicy chickenjoy, of course. I remember it being a little spicier but overall very happy! The yum burgers are so different and a new favorite. They are a good blend of flavor and sweetness. I also got the spaghetti. My boyfriend loved that one as well. It's a new take as this one is sweeter, has hotdog weenies and yellow cheese I believe. Great for kids as well. Didn't get a chance for the chicken sandwiches but it's on my list and definitely will come back. This is a must try place! This place has nothing on Chick Fil A. Sandwich was dry. It had 3 drops of mayo on it. Literally 3 drops. Found two hairs, one on a piece of chicken and one on cover of gravy, under the lid. I haven't had jollibee in years, and couldn't pass up not going now that 1 is finally in SA. I ordered a bucket of 10 pcs, that comes with 3 large sides, and 2 large gravy, the spicy chicken sandwich, and a pineapple quencher. Unfortunately they were out of peach mango pies and that was one of my draws to go. I wasn't expecting much since we're in texas and no where near the Philippines. But even after a 20 minute drive home, my chicken was still hot, juicy + crispy, the gravy was comparable, I'm pretty impressed! I got a lot of large thigh pieces and maybe 3 or 4 drumsticks in my bucket (my favourite piece is the wing, and there were none of those) but for the price I'd say the thigh pieces were worth it. The chicken sandwich was really good. Nice brioche bun, good sized chicken piece, I'm not crazy about jalapeños, but they were in big chunks so they were easy to remove. Maybe I'll try the original for that reason. My only issue was in the drive thru, when one guy was actively repeating my order his coworker came up to us and told me to drive up because the 2 other cars ahead had already gotten their orders taken. Fairly unprofessional of the other kid, when his coworker was actively in the middle of wrapping up taking our order. That didn't sour my experience entirely. I enjoyed it! Given, they're still new, so expect a wait. That said, their drive thru is open and orderly. Upon opening weekend inspection, there was a good wait, so I came during the week on a Monday and the wait was about 20 minutes. It was worth it! I ordered the 2 pc chicken joy and spaghetti. Admittedly when I first heard about Jollibee, it sounded like an odd combo, but its actually just right. The spaghetti is served with their banana ketchup (right?) Sauce and sliced hot dog and the sauce has the right amount of sweetness that it actually provides a nice contrast with the chicken. The fried chicken with the gravy tasted amazing. Juicy and crispy! And how to finish? With a peach mango pie, that was just right after the meal. So is it worth the hype? Sure! I would say though to watch the time you go. Come hungry. In retrospect, if you're ordering with a damily/group, I think the family meal seem worth the while, and may seem more worth your while if you have to wait. Avoid peal times. They do list that you can call ahead, but im not sure if the new location here in San Antonio is doing that yet, but anyway you can curb the wait time I think will make it a more enjoyable experience. read more

First time at this place and definitely not impressed waited 30 mins in order for me to get my food which is unfortunate..was really excited to try this place since I heard online that it's the best but I figured to give it a chance as soon .. but as soon as you walk in looks like any fast food restaurant after ordering my food waited about 30 mins in order for me to receive my food and started to notice everyone else who was behind me got there food first so that was really strange when I told the gentleman in the front about the situation it was really obvious that they have forgotten my order and started to make it‍. waited an additional 10 min to receive my food just FYI spicy chicken wasn't really spicy it had no flavoring tasting to it was alright wasn't the best but noticed the texture of the chicken was a little rubbery which was strange couldn't really put a finger on why it was a bit rubbery plus French fries had no flavor I think they could have at least put some sort of seasonal or salt and pepper something but this will be a never again read more

Just visited for the first time and it exceeded my expectations. The spaghetti was my favorite by far, sweet and delicious. The mango peach pie was also a hit. The chicken was fine but not much different than anywhere else. I'm still not sure why you dip it in a brown gravy but hey I did. I tried calling the restaurant to make a complaint to the manager but no one answers the phone calls. So I'm putting my review to what happened to me few minutes ago. We placed an order through the drive thru and mins later after we got our food. I believe the gravy container wasn't sealed correctly because it started dripping out of the plastic made a hole and suddenly spilled all over my pants and hand and i got a first degree burn from it on my thigh and my hand tryna drop the bag because it was burning me. Well after hearing all the hype around this place from a few of my friends I thought to finally check it out. I had to wait till the line was no longer around the corner. So I ordered the 3 piece spicy with a pineapple drink. First, I was concerned because when I pulled up, it took about 10 seconds and I had my food. What the hell? Is what I thought. Really, I know it's called fast food but dang. So, I ate in my car in the parking lot. My fries were cold. Well I see my it only too about 10 seconds. So I really couldn't get a good taste on them. Just know that they weren't hot and fresh. Then I just move over to the chicken. It was lukewarm!!! I'm thinking you got to be kidding me. I just ordered got my food and parked in the matter of 2 mins. Again this explains the speed of the service. But ok you can eat lukewarm chicken. It was ok. Nothing really special but ok. I did like that by the time I got through the second piece I could feel the spice level. Good on them. Would have been great (maybe) if it was hot. I wasn't a huge fan of the batter they used but again it was ok. The star was the pineapple drink. It was very good, now I did ask for easy ice and they still filled it all the way up. What else can you really say about JB? The Customer service is great. The Food is great! So glad they brought it to San Antonio, now we just need to bring one to Austin!! If you have not tried out the food, I would suggest to watch any youtube videos out there so you know what to expect and to order. I just wish they had the same desert offerings that the ones in Cali have, they have the ultimate deserts, this location only has the Pies. Its all about the Chicken joy!! Try the regular or hot! Wednesday evening and it took only 35 minutes from entering drive thru to exiting with the meal. Not bad for the first days of being open for business, I chose the spaghetti and chicken, white rice and gravy. To my point of view the chicken is comparable in taste to Church's or Bush's. The spaghetti tasted like homemade pasta. This is my first time ever to this restaurant chain. Very good food and very cheerful staff. Nothing Fast about this Fast Food - I went today and knew they might have a long line, but I was not prepared for it to take OVER an hour from the time I got in the drive thru line to when I finally got my (not even remotely warm/hot) food. When I arrived, the line was pretty slow, but after about ten minutes I reached the window to order (I got the 1 pc Chicken/Spaghetti/Drink and a Pie). When I paid, the view into the restaurant looked like utter chaos, with them writing on tons of slips of paper and people churning everywhere. I was then instructed to go and park. Not just pull forward, but park. Which I couldn't do, because the drive thru line was blocking the exit. An employee was doing her best to clear parked cars and attempted to wave me into a spot, which had already been taken by someone else waiting. I wish I had seen this happening, because what was taking place was the most disjointed thing I've ever seen - they were pushing cars through the drive thru, asking for a name and then writing your car description down, then having folks park and shuttling out food piece meal. I was in the parking lot for 40 minutes, often watching cars who came after me get their meals and leave. They also diverted the drive thru with signs at this point to improve flow, but I can only sympathize with the workers because it was painful to watch this process. My food was barely warm when it came out, implying it saw under a lamp for a large part of my wait. The chicken was fine, but nothing special and I ended up not liking the sauce on the noodles (hard to tell how much it sitting and my less than ideal, overly hungry mood affected it, but instead of just not being something I'd order again I actively dislike it now). The pie was tasty, exactly the sweet, fried fast food sleeve pie I'd expect. While I appreciate having cultural variety, I cannot fathom that having opened during COVID and it being some time since the Grand Opening that they have such a poor system for handling lunch rush of drive thru and pick ups. Don't go here if you even remotely need a timely lunch or want warm food. Maybe they're struggling with equipment after the storm, but it read much more as flawed process and training that led to sub par food, as well. read more

I wasn't a fan. We got a 3 piece spicy chicken joy meal to share. I usually prefer everything mild, and I didn't think this was spicy at all. Less spicy than a spicy chicken sandwich at McDonald's. Boring, flavorless, not good. Grew up having banquet fried chicken on sundays, and I'd put this a step below that. My sister had the mashed potatoes and said they were just like mom used to make, instant potatoes from the box. She had the mango peach pie and said if she came back she would choose that for her meal and nothing else.
