Five stars for Jennifer working at 7 pm on Sunday August 15. We went through the drive through for burger steak meals, unfortunately, when we got home we found whoever packed it forgot to put gravy on the steaks or on the side. When we returned, inside was quite busy, but Jennifer saw us walk in with our bag of food and immediately waved us up. She took care of us courteously and expeditiously. As we walked out, we heard her telling the employees they needed to double check all orders and make sure they were including gravy. DISCLAIMER: I live in San Diego and was visiting for a couple of days and came to this Jollibee because it was close to my Airbnb. 2 stars for the absolute crap service I've ever had. The only highlight is that I got my palabok and Chickenjoy. Unfortunately the customer service I received was less than stellar. My husband and I came in August 7th, around 6:30pm, and I don't have the name of the cashiers that were helping me, but they didn't seem to pay attention to my order. Quality of their food has gone down. I went to the drive thru and the food was cold within 7 mins as if they just nuked it in the microwave for a few seconds. The egg doesn't seem fresh. I felt like the egg was from McDonalds but worse. Did I also mention that I waited about 10 mins in drive thru for breakfast?? No wonder why I don't come here anymore. I love their pancit palabok and ChickenJoy. Halo halo for dessert is heaven and is a must. Prices are not bad either, compared to other fast foods. I think it was the manager who waited for me and was very courteous. He served his customers with a smile. The parking lot was pretty safe too. I used to eat here at times when I used to live in Union City as of course it was conveniently located down the street from my Apartment. As in comparison with the original chain in the Philippines, I think they had served sides of rice there in the PI and not in the US chain, until maybe later. Jollibee is a great fast food Filipino place. But I've noticed their food has become salty & also sometimes rushed. But I always love how their burger steak is cooked & their pineapple juice is always refreshing! It's a bit watered though. The seating area has improved though. Much more comfy to sit on. It's always so busy during the peak hours! I usually order the chicken & spaghetti. It's a good combo together. Spaghetti is sweet! Chicken is crispy. I love the burger steak too! They tried to cut me short on spaghetti. If you look at my photo you can clearly see they are servicing me more of air and the box on the left photo. Then It took the like 10mins just to change it to a regular spaghetti which is on the right side. Seriously? Was that hard to change it? We ordered our food via drive thru and ate in the parking lot. I'm not sure why the rating here is so low, since there really isn't much you can complain about. I've never heard of a Filipino fast food restaurant until I came to the Bay Area. I found myself fascinated by the seemingly (to me) incongruous selections of spaghetti, fried chicken and burgers. There's one in Union City and one here in Great Mall Milpitas. I actually had enough courage to try the one in Union City and was surprised by the friendly service at the counter and drive thru. I was at the counter first since I didn't know what to order. Then they closed the counter so I resorted to ordering through the drive thru. Drive thru employee was pretty friendly, except for some reason he gave me a spoon to eat with my spaghetti, which tasted pretty sweet and I wasn't really feeling the Vienna sausage chunks in it. I thought the burger was something you could find at a corner store deli section, except it comes with a chunk of pineapple. The peach mango pie was...good! That's the best thing out of the whole eating experience. They reminded me of the pies I used to eat at Whataburger. My second visit was pretty much the same with the service at the Milpitas location. Whenever I pass by this place, it's almost always busy. There must be something good about the food, so I wanted to try some more with another visit. This time, I got the loco moco-like ultimate burger steak solo meal. It comes with a piece of burger patty, rice, a cooked piece of egg and gravy smothering everything. There was a reason why I wanted the ultimate steak burger; this video game I played recently featured loco moco, and it reminded me of this food item at Jollibee. So why not try it out for real? It tasted...affordelicious. I'm not kidding. I saw signage at the Union City location that used that word to describe their food. I especially liked the rice and gravy taste and texture. I wasn't disappointed with the food this time, but I was left wanting more to eat. I'll come here again if I'm in the area. For now, I'll just stick with the Milpitas location. read more

Of course I'll give it 5 stars! I was born and raised in the Philippines so this is a staple growing up. This is a fast food chain and our equivalent of McDonald's back in the Philippines. Haha. My ultimate favorite is their fried chicken "chicken joy" as jollibee calls it. I could eat that every day for the rest of my life (although I know I shouldn't! Haha). If I have to choose my top 5 faves that would definitely be on top of my list! 2nd would be the "jolly spaghetti" aka pinoy style spaghetti. The sauce tastes sweet and it has hotdogs as toppings! The burger steak would be my 3rd pick. It's burger patties with gravy and mushrooms partnered with rice. 4th pick would be the peach mango pie and last but not the least, the "jolly hotdog" it's a pinoy style hotdog sandwich! Anyway, I think the prices are reasonable although I wish their portion was bigger. Parking won't be a problem because it's part of "union landing" and you can just park wherever you want... for free! Lol. They also have a drive thru. It used to be open 24/7 but recently, I heard that it's not anymore? Can anyone confirm that for me? I remember driving there at midnight after I get off work but that was a while back. We've been here a few times since moving to Union City. It's a great place to go if you miss Jollibee and you grew up in the Philippines. My kids love their Palabok & we all love their Chicken Joy. The Spaghetti didn't taste like what I remember as a kid back in PI though...and I haven't had a chance to try their burgers. I come here to their drive thru often. The reason I like this place is they have a bucket of 6 pieces of chicken for $6.99 I believe. The chicken is pretty good and not too greasy like you get at KFC or Popeyes. I also love the sandwich bites they have as well. My wife also likes a few items on here as well, namely the halo halo. Obviously this place will receive 5 stars from me! I have always loved Jollibee ever since I was a kid in the Philippines. I was so happy to find out that there is also a Jollibee here in California, and to top it all, it is close to where I live! I was as happy as the Jollibee mascot. Their famous chicken joy with rice is my favorite! The spaghetti is my second. Who doesn't love the Filipino sweet spaghetti? I remember though when this location used to serve the jollidog, but they discontinued it, and that broke my heart. I haven't had it since the last time they served it. I do hope they bring it back! It was delicous and one of my favorites. This location never gave me a hard time when using the drive thru and even when we are seated inside. The staff is very nice. The inside is renovated. EWWW! Yuck! I've had there chicken sandwich 2 times in a row now and both times it was incredibly soggy and wet! I don't know what kind of packaging system they have but whatever it is it sucks! The palabok was ok but for $15+ for some water downed sauce and two small pieces of shrimp was beyond disappointing. Halo Halo consisted 75% of ice that was difficult to consume since I had to wait another 15 minute for it to slightly melt to stir. Definitely put a new meaning to FAST FOOD. Probably be my last time since I rarely patronize this establishment due to the slow service and slightly above average fried chicken. With the wait, I'm full from waiting around. Not quite sure how to review this place. I've been to Jollibees in the Phils and of course this place is completely different. I can be a bit biased too since their food will remind me of my younger years. It's fast food and it's filipino version. not much to say. their chicken is abit salty, the gravy was bland and they serve it with rice.... the way filipino likes em. I don't like it but I'd crave for their chicken once in a blue moon. the spaghetti is sweet and with spam/sausage thing in it... another filipino thing. their pancit was ok. breakfast menu is not the best but like I said its fastfood so you can't really expect much. they also have spam sandwich... cheap so I like it. so, if you're filipino and craving for this famous filipino fastfood go for it. FINALLY. My long awaited experience at a Jollibee. For some reason I have not yet tried this fast food phenomenon but over all-- not half bad. Gravy was okay, fries were fresh and my chicken tender things were good. I got shunned by my friends for not trying some of the spam bites and other items..I guess a round two is in order.
