We all wanted to see what the hype was all about so this past weekend, I decided to order through their website for pickup at 8:30 am. Guess we're having fried chicken, spaghetti, rice & pie for breakfast. They open at 8 am daily and my order was ready when I arrived. The chicken was juicy & moist on the inside and extra crispy on the outside with the exception that there was a hair in it. I opted for the 10 pc Chickenjoy Bucket, half & half- spicy and original so we could do a fair review. It tasted almost identical to Popeye's but Jollibee had a really good gravy for dipping on the side. The spicy version was the spiciest fried chicken we've ever had. This was not a good thing because we can handle spicy food but it was higher than our tolerance levels. Luckily, their were only 3 pieces. The gravy sauce on the side added an extra depth of flavor for the chicken. However, I wish I could say the same about the Adobo Rice. There was no flavor other than a heavy taste of garlic in each bite but mixing the gravy into it decreased the blandness. While tapling about bland food, you can also add their Chicken Tenders into this category. They tasted like your ordinary chicken tenders with no special characteristics whatsoever and again, came with more gravy for dipping of course. For all of us, the best tasting and most unique items were probably the Filipino style Spaghetti (with sliced hot dogs & ground beef) and the Peach Mango Pie. The spaghetti had a hint of sweetness, which shocked our normal taste buds when it came to spaghetti. I got it with extra sauce. Also, their Peach Mango Pie was refreshing and the sweetness helped clean our palate at the end of the meal. Alot of people will argue if the chicken or the spaghetti is the best selling part of Jollibees, and to be honest you really should get both to complete the meal. Make sure to put gravy on the chicken(it comes as a default side with chicken buckets). It has also been commented that Jollibees chicken pieces are larger than most other fried chicken competitors. Whether it's the classic fried chicken, the sweet and hot dog topped jolly spaghetti, the amazing peach mango pie or the delicious and overlooked Aloha Yumbuger, everything in the menu is a hit. In the past the service was slow but this place seems to have gotten their act together. We ordered 2 family meals and was told there was a wait of 15 mins, but we were able to find seating in their dining area that includes wooden and plastic tables and overall waited less than 10 minutes for our large order to be completed, all the while pick up services like Uber eats, Grubhub and Seamless constantly picked up orders. I've been to this location a few times and it's pretty good but you always have a super long wait. I think it's because they have online orders that they are completing at the same time as in person customers. Although I waited quite some time they got my food together and it was hot and fresh. First time trying Jollibee..and I loved it! Got the 6 piece spicy chicken bucket, the spicy chicken sandwich, peach mango pie, and the Ube pie! Everything was made hot and fresh and completely blew away our expectations! The spicy chicken sandwich ranks really high up in the chicken sandwich wars for me. Better than most chains. But the highlight was the chicken bucket. Nicely seasoned, juicy and flavorful. As always, I recommend spicy versions over plain/regular for actual taste and flavors. The peace mango pie was very tasty and I don't normally like fast food pies! The Ube pie was very unique and I'm glad I tried it. I probably will stick to the normal pies though. I've been craving this since i first had it a couple of months back, at the time square location. For whatever reason, it did NOT taste the same. The chicken tenders had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. The gravy i used for dipping did little to add to the flavor. I was a bit surprised because i loved their chicken. They were out of chicken when i went and the wait time was upwards of 25 mins so i decided to take the tenders instead. Bad decision on my end. The pineapple juice and the rice were great. I also ordered a peach mango pie which was good too. The chicken tho, which is what i really really wanted was very disappointing. It was a huge miss. I'm not sure if it was this particular location, or if the tenders just lack flavor all together. But, after this visit, i think I'm okay on Jolibee. I expected so much more. I also brought a friend with me to try it out; and he was extremely disappointed and let down by the lack of flavor as well. The staff were okay, the restaurant was clean, and it wasn't busy. But all around experience was definitely lacking due to the lack of flavor the food had. It was my second time having Jolibee yesterday! The first time I had it- it was good but I wasn't convinced as I had heard the hype about this spot so much. But, after having it again yesterday - I get it. The fried chicken here is really good, the batter / breading to chicken ratio is phenomenal. Sometimes I feel like KFC chicken can be slimey even-- Jolibee's chicken is nothing like that. It is really fantastic. The peach mango pie is also delicious and the pineapple juice is so good. The service is really quick and ordering in was faster than us ordering it on the phone. The staff members are nice and cordial. The store is relatively small but has enough places for eating. Just like any other fast food chain in terms of dining area. Pretty affordable too, cost my friend and I $17 each for the meal we split. First issue, was they have advertisements all over, and I mean all over the place for their frozen drinks which they don't actually have. We literally drove there to try the coconut drink, so that was the first let down. Second was that I had to repeat my order several times, and every time she would get it wrong. Third, I asked for a 10 piece meal, instead she charged it all separately. While I waited for my order I noticed this on my receipt, but honestly just wanted to get out of there so I left it alone. The fifth strike was finally getting home, finding a spot, and opening my bag to find two of my sides were never bagged. I'm usually not a mashed potato person but their mash is worth it, not so much the fries. I'm also a fan of their spaghetti, it's sweet and salty, more sweet, and I like to order it with extra sauce. I have been wanting to try this place for a while already and I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered ahead of time for pick up to avoid the wait time. When I placed the order, it said it would take 80 mins to prepare. When I arrived there an hour earlier than expected, my order was already sitting in the pick up area which made me wonder how long the food had been sitting there. Halfway down the block, I decided to check my order and realized that I was missing part of my order and some of the items were cold. I went back to the store and got my missing items and asked them to switch out the cold pasta for warm one. The actual food itself was ok. I ordered their mango peach pie which was delicious; it was fried and the filling was sweet. The pineapple quencher was also delicious. The fried chicken sandwich was also quite tasty, it has some kind of white sauce, pickles and chicken. The tenders were not that good, they were kind of chewy instead of crunchy which is not a desirable texture. Last Sunday was my first full Jollibee experience. I waited 40 minutes for my food, the restaurant was short staffed and had peeler coming through the door every few minutes. Was it worth the wait? Yes the spicy chicken sandwich deluxe was tasty, the chicken was tender and crispy and spicy, the bun was soft, and the Russian style sauce held it all together. The main attraction for me was the pies. I hoped they had ube but it was replaced with banana langka (jackfruit) but I'm not a fan of jackfruit. Let's get to the food Had the 10 piece Chicken Joy (fried chicken) and got half spicy and the other half non spicy. The crunchiness factor is between KFC and Popeye's I would say. It was also pretty juicy! A cute thing was that they put spicy flags in the spicy chicken so that it's not a guessing game. The gravy that comes with it is amazing as well. When writing reviews I always try to avoid the low hanging fruit. But recently I realized as I was biting into a piece of Jollibee chicken tender, some people don't know this exists. And maybe some of those people might be my intrepid Google stalkers. So if you have no idea what Jollibee is because you have not seen much of the world and think that Popeyes and KFC are the only chicken options in New York you are in for a treat! Unlike many of these other places, the chicken tenders at this wonderful spot actually taste like someone is making them at home in oil. They are sizable crispy and delicious. The mango peach pie is amazing. I have no interest in a damn peach pie. Honestly I probably don't have any interest in a mango pie either. Both of these things kind of really aren't anything that I believe to be something I would seek out. I hate things like passion fruit. But this pie is pretty good. It is worth buying. There is a bunch of other food there but that part of the review is covered by the menu. I know there are some chicken places that are described as "slap somebody's mama good" but in this case I'd say this is "put someone's grandmama's hand to your forehead good." read more

It's Filipino fast food. Service and ambiance is like any other fast food joint. Since this place is one of the few locations in NYC, you will almost always find it crowded or busy. If you find parking nearby it will be somewhat of a miracle. I have braved all these undesirables to get their $6 a piece Peach Mango pies. I buy 5-10 at a time to freeze at home for a future snack. The tasty fried chicken is another reason to go. Eat it fresh. The generous servings of French fries is pretty nice too. Not the best but definitely takes the edge off the French Fries cravings. Really great food here and such fast service. Finding parking can be a challenge, but its worth it. My favorite thing from here is the peach mango pie. Without holes in the box, the pie remained perfectly crispy on the outside and super hot on the inside. If there's only one thing you try from Jolibee, TRY THEIR PIE. I ate two of these before having the meal. Trust me, you won't regret doing it. Their "ChickenJoy" (fried chicken) with gravy is very good. Its very juicy. Definitely better than your local KFC. Their 'fiesta noodles'/ pancit palabok was SO flavorful. It comes with noodles, meat, a boiled egg, shrimp, scallion and a shrimp sauce. Its so easy to eat a whole box of this. The crunchyy chicharron pieces on top really add a nice funky crunchy to the dish. I could eat these all day. With the meal, you get to choose a drink. Their pineapple juice is very refreshing. Had Jollibees for NYE and first off, while I was not the one to pick up the food, I was told the line was out the door and wrapped around- so who doesnt like Jollibees! Only thing is they dont have a location in Brooklyn so to satisfy this craving, we'd always have to go to Queens. Anyway, we got their signature fried chicken in addition to their pasta and pancit. Their chicken has been really good, for the most times I had it so really no complaints there. We were really looking forward to having the noodles this time around. The pasta was great. We got a huge tray to share with a big family and there were still leftovers. The pancit was a bit underwhelming and I probably will not order in the future. There's not much taste to it and overall, we can probably find better versions at actual restuarants.
