As a lover of all chicken fried, I've long awaited trying Jollibee. When it comes to fast food fried chicken, I'm a Popeyes over KFC fan. I'm looking for juicy, meaty chicken, with a crispy, flavorful skin. We got a family meal of 6 pieces, mashed potatoes with gravy, fries, and the pancit noodles. It also came with 3 mango pies. Also got a Halo halo The pros: I am a typical Asian and only like dark meat which is what they serve here. The skin is crispy and not too oily or heavy. You can't go wrong with gravy. The fries were decent.The servers are super friendly and happy to answer any questions. The mango pie was a nice change from your McD's apple pies. The cons: The chicken itself did not live up to Popeyes. It wasn't as juicy and the skin wasn't as flavorful. The sides were very mediocre. Nothing I'd crave. A famous eatery in the Philippines that brought over their famous chicken joy and mouth watering peach mango pie to the US, this was my favorite fast food chain growing up. We ordered a few items to take back to the hotel, the eatery was quite small to dine in. A few of my favorites: Filipino spaghetti - the delicious sweet sauce with hot dog pieces and cheddar cheese over the noodles, sounds weird but I promise you it's scrumptious! Chicken Joy - the batter they use for the chicken is spot on! Crispy and finger licking good, very different from Popeyes, KFC, and Bojangles. It's recommended to use gravy as the dipping sauce. Peach Mango Pie - flaky shell crust on the outside and peach mango filling goodness on the inside. Way better than McDonald's apple pie! Yummy Burger - simple but delicious! I'm hooked to the sauce they use in the sandwich. This burger brings me back to my childhood. The closest Jollibee to my area is Virginia Beach. This is a Filipino fast food chains. I sometimes crave for Jollibee. I love the smell as soon as you get in to this food chain. The smell of chicken and gravy brought me back to my childhood memories. It is always packed and you have to know the tricks in saving table and seats. It is clean but very very small place inside both in Queens and Manhattan. There is just one noticeable about the Jollibee USA. The Chickenjoy looks crispy and well cooked outside but once you started eating, it's inside is still under cooked and raw, which is very dangerous because you can have Salmonella. This didn't happen to me once but many times. Both Jollibee in Queens and Manhattan location does serves this undercooked chicken. I stopped eating their chicken here in US. Food is always good but I called ahead bc my food was taking longer than usual but when I called ahead the lady on the phone was very rude. I didn't yell or anything I wasn't being rude I was just asking how it was going. She just straight up hung up the phone on me. Didn't ask for my information just straight up hung up the phone. We got one of the family deals that came with 10 pieces of chicken (half spicy, half regular), 3 very generous servings of gravy, and 3 peach mango pies. We all agreed that we actually enjoyed Jollibee's fried chicken more than other chains - the skin was super crispy and flavorful, and the inside was much more tender than some of the other times that I've had fried chicken where the meat was disappointingly tough and dry. First time trying Jollibee... boy I've been missing out. The store is located a quick 3 minute walk from Woodside station. I stopped by twice on my way back to my Airbnb since it was that good. There's currently no dine in allowed and both times I've visited it was very busy, but the workers are all kind and I never had to wait longer than 20 minutes for my order. The chicken is great - it stayed crispy even after a 20 minute walk to my Airbnb. It also wasn't too greasy, unlike other fast food places. The gravy that comes as a dipping sauce was also great - so no complaints there either. I also tried the spaghetti here after seeing so many people recommend it on Reddit and it was worth it! I was a bit apprehensive with hot dogs in my spaghetti and banana ketchup, but the combo worked out surprisingly well. It wasn't too sweet at all and I enjoyed it a lot more then I thought. I also tried the chicken sandwich, but I didn't like it as much as the regular chicken. The breading they use for the chicken sandwich is a lot thicker than the regular chicken and the chicken sandwich tasted dry. I wouldn't try the sandwich again because it wasn't anything outstanding. They always catch me eyeing the chicken skin. You know what's up. That's just on food. The customer service here is amazing. They always end a transaction with their catchphrase - "Have a jolly day". Yes, Jimmy, I will have a Jolly day. What encouraged me to make this review after maybe a dozen or so visits was when I called two times yesterday. The first call was just to put in my order. Everything went off without a hitch. The second call was to add something to my order. They put me on hold and I soon realized that I would not need to add/change my order. I hung up. They called me back within 30 seconds. In all my years with dealing with customer service, I have almost never received a call back when I hung up or got disconnected, ESPECIALLY in when it comes to food. I forgot there was a Jollibee's in Woodside. I came here a long time ago but forgot what I got and recently wanted to try it again. I came this past weekend on a Saturday night thinking I was going to have a relaxing dinner but damn; this place was packed out with Filipino people when I arrived around 7. There was barely any space to move, let alone sit. I was like wow, pinoy pride running deep. I ended up grabbing a seat and ordered the 3 piece burger steak combo ($8.29) with 2 sides (rice and fries). I also got a peach mango pie ($2). Total came out to $11.19. I realized when I got my meal that I ordered the wrong combo of sides. The rice goes well with the burger steak and soaks up the gravy well, but the fries were a mistake. They were pretty good but were a redundant carb item that didn't add any depth to my meal. Should've gotten corn instead; I was very disappointed at myself for my blunder. For those that are wondering, the burger steak is basically a thin fast food hamburger patty with gravy and mushrooms thrown on. All in all, the food was pretty mediocre. The rice + burger steak was fairly enjoyable, but didn't feel special at all. I was like damn, why did I drive all the way out to Queens for this. I have to say the peach mango pie was pretty special though. What makes it special is its outer crust, which has a crispy sugary glaze to it that is perfect texture wise. Jollibee features Filipino fast food. It's on the corner of 63rd Street and Roosevelt Avenue, which is a busy intersection so parking is extremely difficult. Their system for COVID is a bit confusing. I called in to pickup an order and when you go in there are a few different lines. The employees are really friendly though and helped me get in and out really quickly The food is pretty average, but it's also fast food. I got the Bucket Treat B (which includes 6 pieces of chicken, spaghetti, and 3 peach mango pies) ($33) and the Palabok Fiesta ($6.59). That was enough to feed about 4-5 people. My favorite item was the peach mango pies; it's crispy and the filling is delicious. The chicken was crispy but wasn't as spicy as I expected. When I first came inside this Jollibee out in Queens, I was more than amazed. Let just me say first I'm from the Bronx and the lack of Jollibee in the Bronx is unacceptable right now. But as I walked in the manager who I believe happens to be Patrick was welcoming and friendly. The chicken with gravy combo was so great that I don't think it would feel the same feeling for me if I try it with KFC or Popeyes chicken & gravy, respectively. More importantly, I love the atmosphere of the restaurant here. The vibes I get is mostly people wanted to have family time, young couples hanging out and non-locals wanted a new experience. It was honestly so hard to pick a favorite because everything was so tasty, but the chicken sandwich definitely stood out. If you like the Popeyes sandwich, this is very comparable with a decently sized piece of crispy chicken. In my opinion, it may top it because of the garlic mayo on it. Another highlight was the peach mango pie which was perfectly warm and crispy (the pastry dough is deep fried) and 100% tops McDonald's apple pie. While the restaurant is doing its best to keep social distancing efforts in place, the line outside is just disorganized. People are just waiting out by the sidewalk instead of forming a line (Jollibee had already placed signs 6 feet apart). There was already a line outside to follow physical distancing guidelines as well. I called to make sure my order is ready before going inside instead of waiting in line. I like that you can do that! Don't get me wrong, I love Jollibee and I love fried chicken but this one time we ordered, the experience was subpar. Three drumsticks, two thighs and most of a breast, I think. Leftovers reheated well. Adobo rice was well seasoned with a bit of giblet and just a soupcon of vinegariness. I had the new fried chicken sandwich and I liked it a lot. The creamy sauce went incredibly well with the fried chicken. I also liked that it was a big piece of chicken and I got to enjoy it the entire time I was eating. On the other hand, it made me feel heavy for a few hours after eating - I'm guessing this happened because it's fast food made with cheap oil. The sandwich was pretty good anyways so I'd probably get some more when I'm in the neighborhood. read more

They haven't come up with a better and more efficient way of packing the food? Waiting for fast food for 20-30 minutes is unacceptable.. my suggestion is they should have two separate packers one for online orders and one for dine-in.... It's not rocket science... read more

Omg best fried chicken in Newyork.Came across this Filipino franchise while in cali and fell in love. Was so pleased to find out there is one in my home town Queens, Newyork. (Please bring one to brooklyn). Ok so the place is small and wAs packed when we got there we were able to find seating though. The bathroom was clean which is plus for me. Was able to wash my hands without feeling like i picked up hep c on the bathroom door knob. Food jus as i remembered delicious. My husband and i ordered the six piece with white rice and spaghetti on the side i also ordered mash potatoes. Everything was divine. We ate it all, looking forward to returning my friends. There are other filipino traditional meals which i am not familiar may try one day for now im sticking with the chicken and sphagetti . read more

Jollibee virginity is goneeee baby! And much like many of our first times, it was just ok. I'm going to lay off on that analogy now, because people come to Yelp to read food reviews and not innuendo. Anyways we started off with a bang and ordered Bucket B (? half-and-half chicken), Spaghetti, the Palabok Fiesta, and the Peach Mango Pies (everything came out ~$45). Gotta go hard, you feel? If we're talking opposites though, the chicken was unbelievably tender. Soft as memory foam, slipped right off the bone. The breading was standard, although the "spicy" chicken was straight up not spicy in the slightest. Spaghetti was average, if not a bit sweet. I'm unfamiliar with Filipino food as a whole, so who knows if this spaghetti variation was in character or not. The superior noodle dish in my humble opinion was the palabok. Lemony, light, fingernail-thin rice noodles ladled w a spoonful of sauce, shrimp, and egg. You don't come across that flavor profile every day, but boy is it refreshing. Peach mango pies were interesting, if you're into that. Delectably flaky crust, although peach mango as a dessert flavor has always tasted (and smelled) a little artificial to me. If you're at all into McDonald's apple pies, you will very likely enjoy Jollibee's take. Overall a very solid Filipino fast food joint, would come again. read more

The food is not bad here. Stick to the chicken (albeit fried) and the adobo rice. Maybe the palabok. Didn't appreciate the burger steak (reminded me of TV dinner slab). Peach mango pie was ok. Loved the halo halo. If you've never tried Jollibee, you should try it at least once. My problem is that it is still fast food, just a Filipino version. I am not 100% opposed to fast food, but in general (regardless of cuisine) I prefer to have freshly prepared food with quality ingredients. If I wanted to indulge in Jollibee, I would get a few orders of the halo halo because that is hard to find and is delicious. read more
