They charge you for water without even informing you!
    Sadia J.

This place is problematic from top to bottom and I'll tell you why. As soon as you walk in, you'll immediately get hit with an awful smell in a space that is so conjusted that you'll bump into other diners. If you still want to give it a try since you're just curious to see what they have in store for a $10 AYCE, don't walk but run away from here. A heads up, they charge you for water without even informing you beforehand. I'm not aware which dine-in restaurants charge their diners for water? Not even in Manhattan and they're up with this crap here in Astoria? We ate halfway through and the staff never checked in, nor did he ask if we wanted to drink anything. When we requested for some water, he gave us a small packaged water bottle (we were three adults) and handed us a menu for drinks. After we were done eating and handed the check, we saw that the water was $2. What kind of deception is this? Why was it so difficult to inform us earlier that they charge for water? The Thai AYCE is such a fail. Just a reminder, this is not even an inch close to authentic Thai. The Fried Rice isn't cooked properly, it's dry, hard and chewy. Other dishes lack spices, seasoning and flavor. All of the dishes are also cold! And who mixes chicken and beef together to make a 'Thai Sizzler' or whatever? It seemed a joke. Labeling isn't done properly. There was a veggie label, we opened it to find fried rice. One label said Chili Chicken/Fish, we opened it and found no fish. That Chili Chicken was dry as hell and dunked in sauce. The overall taste is below average. Probably the only good thing was the Egg Chowmein. This place is poorly understaffed. Only one person who's the host, they're also the waitstaff, and they're also the person to pack to-go orders. I felt sorry for him.

Definitely cannot beat the price. $10 for the lunch buffet. There were around 12 dishes to choose from plus 2 soups. A lots of vegetables to choose from plus a few meat dishes. Interesting request from the restaurant to use the same plate when one goes up for second.

Small and assuming restaurant on Broadway that serves both Halal Thai and Korean barbecue. This review was only for their lunch buffet which runs from Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 5 PM for $10 a person. It is all self service you get to use only one plate the whole time so if you want refills, you have to use the same plate. There were a total of seven dishes that you can choose from one was one was a vegetarian curry, and then vegetarian appetizer such as tofu puffs. The other choices were usually chicken based either fried rice or Pache out and then different curries. You can also get soup on the side or plain white rice and there is also a plain green salad. Now, why did I only give this place three stars the food was kind of weak in terms of flavor and the chicken and all of the dishes was pretty dry. It was almost as if the Thai seasoning was muted on purpose so I didn't feel like it was a very strong flavor. This is a good option if you need something to fill you up, but in terms of quality, I would rather pay a little bit more for better food. I also noticed what other reviewers have mentioned that whatever venting system that they have for their kitchen is very poor because you can feel and smell the stickiness as you're sitting in the restaurant.

Solid place, i recommend checking out. I think we stopped by around 1 and it was completely empty so the service was fast! We ordered the golden fritters (friend chicken & shrimp dumplings) & the chicken sizzler and I'm glad we did.

Eatzy Thai's $9.99 All You Can Eat Buffet Special's Green Curry Coconut Chicken, my favorite!

In Astoria for a late lunch and discovered Eatzy Thai's amazing $9.99 All You Can Eat Buffet Special! First, loved the Green Coconut Curry with Chicken followed by the Flat Noodles with Chicken! There are also Pepper Chicken as well as Tofu Bok Choi dishes. Additionally, the buffet includes Tom Yum soup, green salad, and two types of rice - white and fried! All tasty and a great value, to enjoy in a relaxing modern space. Definitely will go back to Eatzy Thai! FYI - For those who keep Halal, Eatzy Thai has a certification for that.

This place serves halal hotpot and korean bbq in the back. Their hot pot broth isnt very tasty. And they dont have many sauces to pair with the bbq. When i went they also didnt have the lamb option. They charged me extra and i realized a big too late.

Not the usual KBBQ experience but a great halal option for the halal community! I went with family over the summer and meant to write this review earlier but it had just been sitting in my drafts. Oops! I think this business is fabulous because we went on a night where it poured unexpectedly, causing the outside dining area to turn into a waterfall attraction. The water got in everywhere it could and we all had to quickly act by moving the tables inward. The waiters helped us adjust so that we could keep enjoying our dinners. I can't tell you how much I appreciated their help during that chaotic, truly unexpected moment. Kudos to the waitstaff for their hospitality. As far as the food: It wasn't bad at all. I'm just used to an entirely different KBBQ and Hot Pot experience. Something that I hope the restaurant does, in the future, is allow their guests to choose the meats they want and to expand their broth options. It would have been nice to have a shrimp protein that night. But we only had chicken and beef. I liked that the waitstaff didn't wait to refill our meats but it got to a point that we didn't need anymore. It was probably the waitstaff that night, being more giving because of our experience with the rain. But if this happens on a regular, I advise the waitstaff to make sure they ask before they refill protein or it'll go to waste. As for the broths, they were pretty standard. No complaints. Just wish we had more options to choose from. And maybe that will come soon. So I'm excited to see how this will improve throughout its existence. Again, no real complaints from me. Just can't wait to see how this business will grow its outdoor KBBQ and Hot Pot experience!

Been here a few times but last night was the 1st time we got the eatzy sampler platter ($15) which comes with 2 spring rolls, 2 of the tiniest lollipop chicken pieces I've ever seen, 2 fried shrimp, & 2 fried meatballs. This is definitely not worth anywhere near $15. COMPLETE WASTE OF $, DO NOT GET. I only tried half a chicken meatball since there was 10 of us & we weren't expecting a baby sample considering the price. RIDIC, ABSOLUTELY RIDIC. Do I feel ripped off? ABSOLUTELY. The fries are ok, the basil fried rice is good, didn't try the pad Thai but heard it's ok. The steak was tough which we were warned it would be & the rice that came with the steak was really spicy. The tacos are great as usual, but I forgot to ask for no bell peppers this time as well. The pina colada was a bit too sweet but good otherwise.

    Pad Thai and golden fritters
    Austin K.

I got takeout from here. The pad Thai was standardly good with decent portion size - the chicken was overcooked though so it was a bit dry. I also got the golden fritters, but the exterior was not very crispy and the inside was a little too dense for my liking.

I was invited by a friend for HALAL Korean BBQ , this place is originally a Thai Restaurant. In the backyard they have started Korean BBQ and Hot Pot. You would definitely need to reserve it , there are about 3 tables of 4 and 1 big table of 8-10. I have been to other Korean BBQ that are non-halal and this keeps up. Only thing with others is that they have a larger selection of meat options. They have 4 options Chicken , Spicy Chicken , Beef and Shrimp. Definitely a must try for my Halal Eaters !! Service - 10/10 Very Helpful Ambiance- Its Outside Parking - Street Metered Reservation- Needed All Food is Zabiha Halal

That said, I would come back to explore more of the menu because everything else of the experience was splendid. I ordered the Tiger Cry Steak, which is a grilled sirloin steak with Jim jiaw sauce, and your choice of side salad or fries. I would say the jim jiaw sauce is an acquired taste - it was bold and a bit too fishy for me, so I did not used it for the meat. Speaking of which, I asked for medium well and it was overcooked and tough, which was a bit of a letdown.

The tofu from the curry and chicken from the pad see ew was obviously reheated/recooked several times. I absolutely loved the curry but I made a mistake coming close to closing. I 100% would come back closer to opening. I'm a big fan of drunken noodles so the noodles and vegetables itself were great. The curry was also fantastic with the vegetables (minus the tofu). The mackerel in the chu chee should've had more sauce but it was good. There should have been another mackerel since it wasn't very filling. The Thai tea was very nice - I enjoyed swirling toix the condensed milk and rest of the drink to create the nice flavor. The kitchen here doesn't shy away from traditional flavors--the food is unapologetically spicy and savory, avoiding the "overly sweet" profile that many Thai spots fall into. Here's the breakdown of what we tried: Tom Yum Goong: This was the star of the show. It had a sharp, clean heat and a perfect citrus punch without that syrupy finish you often find elsewhere. Crispy Pork Belly: Exactly what you want it to be. The skin was incredibly crunchy, and the meat remained tender, seasoned perfectly to highlight the savory pork flavor. Fried Fish: Deep-fried to perfection with a light, crispy exterior. The sauce paired chili and fish sauce with fresh mango. Crab Fried Rice: Generous with the crab meat and wonderfully "wok-hei" (charred) and salty. It wasn't bogged down by sweet soy sauce, allowing the delicate crab to shine. The only real sweetness of the night came from the Mango Sticky Rice, which was the perfect, cooling end to a very spicy meal. The mango was ripe and the coconut milk was rich, providing the only sugary reprieve of the evening. Service was so nice. The hostess and sever were so nice and friendly. The severer felt like a Thai uncle, he made jokes, gave us napkins, joked with my child. It felt so familial. If you want authentic, spicy Thai food that prioritizes salt, spice, and acid over sweetness, this is your spot.

The papaya salad with green papaya, string bean, tomato and roasted peanut with spicy lime juice was refreshing and light. The Pad woon sen has sauteed glass noodle, egg, onion, scallion, cabbage, celery, carrot, tomato and sesame oil. The second time I visited, I had the Pad see ew with beef. The Pad see ew has sauteed wide noodles with Chinese broccoli, black soy sauce, and egg. Both dishes were very flavorful, delicious, delectable, and appetizing. The dishes were very filling and there was a good proportion of noodles and protein. I've had the Rainfall in Loei and Fang Martini Time, both are really good drinks and not overly strong. We shared the mango sticky rice for dessert and it was good. The mango was very fresh and the sticky rice with coconut milk was sweet, but not overly. My friends ordered the Kopi De Trang, Spicy Maesai Plum, Rainfall in Loei, Thai ice tea lychee, pad see ew with chicken, pad kee mao beef (non spicy), and khao soi gai confit. I ordered a pad kee mao beef with a spice level of 2 to go. It is a great option to have a spicy and non spicy option for pad kee mao. Everyone enjoyed their food. Staff are very friendly and the food come out very quickly after ordering. There is a 5% discount if you pay with cash and a 2.95% surcharge for credit cards.
