radiatori pesto and wood grilled chicken

Not worth the price or hype. Can't even add chicken or protein to the pastas; they don't welcome modifications. $30+ just for a piece of grilled chicken with a slice of tomato and spring mix.. The pesto was good; I think this place is ok, but nothing special.

I've had take out from John & Vinny's before but this was my first time dining in. The Beverly Hills restaurant is small - 55 max capacity inside and a few tables out on the front patio. I came here with co-workers to celebrate a birthday. Thankfully, we made reservations because the place was packed. When you're seated, they place a cup of crayons on the table so you can color your placemat. Each one is different. Mine was a comic series. Too much to color but my co-worker got creative with hers. We were a party of four, so we decided to order family style. Our server Evan K was friendly and accommodating. Our meal choices consisted of: Gem Lettuce Salad with Calabrian Dressing, Eggplant Parmesan, Point Judith Fried Calamari, Brooklyn Dodger Pizza, Bronx Bomber Pizza, & Spicy Fusilli Pasta. I also ordered a glass of the Lambrusco - a crisp sparkling red from Italy. One thing about John & Vinny's is that the food is consistently good. The pizzas are thin crust but sturdy enough to hold the toppings. I really liked the Brooklyn Dodger. The salad was very tasty as was the calamari. The Spicy Fusilli Pasta could have used a bit more spiciness and a tad more cooking time. It was a bit firm (not al dente). Being Sicilian, my all-time favorite dish is Eggplant Parmesan, and I'm overly critical about how it is prepared. I have to say, this one was a winner! Chef's kiss. When it was time for dessert Evan brought an Italian Rainbow Cookie for the birthday girl with a candle. My co-workers also shared the Chocolate Chip Cookie (BDay girl's favorite) and the Tiramisu. I was too full to indulge but, they finished every last bite. *50 corkage fee. Limit two bottles.

Yummy and good. Everything leans on smaller portion for the price point, good to order a few and share. We didn't make a reservation for a Sunday night dinner, we waited about 15 mins at the wine bar inside the restaurant. You could get a wine or a beer while waiting, but there are no cocktail selections. The restaurant is a kinda small but cozy and clean. FOOD Gem Lettuce (8.3/10): Love the crunchy flakes on the lettuce, love the texture, not over saucey, quite refreshing. It's done right, recommend. If you like Caesar salad you will like this. Bronx Bomber (9/10): Pizza is my favourite out of this dinner, not soupy. Thin crust yet crispy, meat lovers would love this. Recommend to have a side of chili oil to make it better, or chili flakes to add some kick to it. *8.5 without chili oil* Spicy fusilli (8/10): Yummy vodka sauce and nicely al-Dante, pasta is not overcooked and it's simply delicious. Not too complex, doesn't have a lot of depth or texture. I've had better pastas but this is quite yummy (not memorable, but yummy). Burrata (8/10): Yummy, good to share on the table for a group dinner. I think it's a bit much for me to have more than one piece when there are pasta and pizza, if you love bread and burrata this is a great appetiser since they don't have complimentary bread. OVERALL It's good and nothing to complain about the service, it's a chill spot for dinner and not upscale. Delicious but not exquisite, this is where the 1 star is lacking. But I'd definitely come back for a chill dinner with friends, recommend but don't expect to have a transformational experience.

Passed by this place numerous times while nearby for doctors visits and decided to stop in. Pleasantly surprised at the whole experience, sad to learn they're only in LA. Would return when i'm around, the menu seems to have so many hits! Food (5/5) - Didn't try a pie despite how good they all sounded, instead started with the ricotta orange blossom honey sesame bruschetta which was SO flavorful, perfectly crispy toast but soft ricotta paired so well with the other flavors. Also tried the freshly made pasta (the bolognese here is the best i've had, rigatoni was cooked perfectly!) as well as the polenta bolognese which impressed me as this isn't a dish i see too often around! Affogato for dessert was just okay, not the best espresso shot pulled for this. Overall great quality and flavors for the price. Service (4/5) - Busy lunch hour, had one really kind fella serving quite a few tables at the same time so we had to wait a bit for a to go box and our dessert, but the vibe was great so we didn't mind too much. Had great recommendations, and the crayons and coloring papers are an excellent touch. Ambiance (5/5) - They really got me here. First place i've been ever that nails "moody lighting, classy, upscale decor, fancy interior design, beautiful open kitchen and bar design", but then the servers are wearing t shirts and there's takeout boxes piled high everywhere like i'm at a local pizzeria for the "casual" vibe. really seals the deal for a good time for any occasion it seems. Love this place!

Beverly Hills outpost of popular LA restaurant. Came here with my family and cousins, and had a table of 8 reserved. They wouldn't seat us earlier so we hung outside while waiting. Indoor and outdoor space available but the place is pretty small. They have takeout/delivery as well. I had the spicy rigatoni which is super popular, and I liked it. I think the pizzas are actually more bang for your buck, and can easily be shared. I liked that they had place settings that you could color in with the crayons provided, so you can indulge your inner child. Service was polite and the food came out as it's ready, so the pastas came out way before the pizzas.

I went for lunch on a Monday and service was relatively fast. There were only a few parties in the restaurant, so we decided to sit outside. The food comes out as it's ready, so don't expect to eat as a group. Luckily, we were sharing so it worked for us. The Brooklyn dodger is a simple pizza but good. The vodka pasta is cooked well and a tad al dente.

Surprisingly there was no wait time ( love that !! ) Fried Zucchini was so yummy !! The ranch was goooood ! Chicken parm, meatballs, and the zucchini was delicious! I'll definitely be coming back to try more items in the menu

My first time at this location. I sat in the patio area. I ordered the Brooklyn dodger pizza, mozzarella sticks and the rainbow cookies. The Brooklyn dodger had mozzarella, garlic and basil. The pizza had a good sauce and crust had a good undercarriage. It was a very good pizza. The mozzarella sticks were okay. I really liked the dipping sauce.I should have ordered a salad instead The rainbow cookies are tiny. Very cute. Reminded me of New York. Overall a solid place.

dined in for the first time for my friend's birthday and we were able to reserve a table for a party of 8 which was nice to sit all together! i'm actually quite surprised about their rating on yelp for almost all locations, but my friends and i had an overall good experience. the place feels more intimate with the dimmed lighting and it's a smaller establishment. all the pastas and pizza we tried were good, however portions are pretty small (except the pizza), especially for the price. each plate of pasta is almost $30 and personally, the only pasta that really seemed special or wowed me was the corn agnolotti. dessert was okay too, nothing too special about the cookies; even though we originally ordered the matcha affogato but they didn't have it so they gave us cookies on the house instead which was nice of them. but the double chocolate cake was definitely a dessert for EXTREME chocolate lovers, it was super rich and decadent and a bit too sweet for my tastebuds but my friends enjoyed it. overall food was definitely good, but a little overpriced and service was nice too, no complaints regarding the service compared to what i've seen from other reviews on here.

My friend and I were in the area and were told to try this chain of restaurants as they were exceptional. I am a sucker for Italian food and I loved everything from here!! Ambiance was more of a busy fast paced restaurant with dim lighting and an open kitchen. Seating is a little tight in there but we were lucky enough to get a bigger table. Service started off great, she was very patient and explained all her recommendations to us. She was attentive and kept an eye on us. However towards the end of our meal she was busy with other tables and we were eventually taken over by another server. Food was amazing. Our favorites were the ricotta on toast with honey and sesame!! Outstanding!! We also loved the sweet corn agnolotti with brown butter and sage (I could I eat a plate to myself). My friend really enjoyed the fusilli vodka pasta. My only regret was being too full to try the matcha affogato!! Eventually I will need to come back to try. Everything overall was amazing and would definitely come back.

Jon & Vinny's has been one of my favorite restaurants for many years. I'm so happy that the Beverly Hills location has improved their customer service experience tenfold! What a huge improvement! Everyone from the hostess, server and other wait staff were so attentive and on top of things. A big shout out to Jillian who was our server today. Food was amazing as always! I tend to always order the Rigatoni with bolognese. Wow! It sure hit the spot. My husband had the eggplant parmigiana which was very tasty. I've been to the Fairfax, Brentwood, & Studio City locations which are all consistently good! Each restaurant is a bit different in design.

Pretty solid Italian spot with good service but I expected bigger portions for the price. There's street parking nearby so you can just walk over Gem lettuce: 5/5. I def understand the hype and would recommend trying this Brooklyn dodgers: 5/5. I like the the thin crust pizza and thought the toppings were solid Little nats: 3/5. pizza itself wasn't bad I just don't love pepperoni Spicy fusili: 5/5. If you like red pasta with a bit of spice, you'll probably like this Pesto rigatoni: 3/5. Not bad but I didn't think it was anything crazy, probably good if you're a big fan of pesto Strawberry cheesecake: 5/5. Solid cheesecake and I really liked the strawberries and cream on top

My group went on a busy Friday night and despite showing up about 30 minutes before our reservation, we were seated right away. We ordered SO MUCH food, from pizzas to pastas to mozzarella sticks, so the staff bringing plates out as soon as they're ready instead of all at once worked out. We didn't have a ton of room at the table so the wait staff clearing plates out as soon as we were finished with each dish was very convenient. The food was very good, it reminded me of a quality Italian restaurant in Brooklyn I've been to before. Highly recommend.

My absolute favorite were the tuna tostadas! I was surprised that they would be my favorite dish as we only ordered it as an extra shareable plate! The tuna tasted fresh and it was perfectly seasoned! It went really well with the avocado and the chip that was underneath the tuna. I would definitely go back for just the tuna tostadas! Fries were good this time, but I would go without the pizza in the future. On their final opening night I arrived too early; forgetting that dinner didn't start for an hour so I had the fries (again) while waiting for dinner. However, after we raved about our multiple dining experiences at LAVO Las Vegas, we were surprised to learn that none of our relatives had ever dined at the restaurant's Los Angeles location. So, when the opportunity arose, I made an after-Christmas dinner reservation through OpenTable and excitedly waited. We knew exactly where LAVO Los Angeles was located, as we had frequently driven past the Sunset Medical Tower on Sunset Boulevard and had eaten at the same restaurant space before it changed hands several times over the past decade or so. They offer valet service, which only accepts credit card payments, and because of the restaurant's location, you might as well use the service, because you'd be hard-pressed to find street parking. Our group of six arrived at the restaurant about 30 minutes before our reservation and were greeted by a friendly hostess who asked whether we were ready to be seated or preferred to wait in the bar. We chose to be seated, and she escorted us into the quiet, warm, yet festively decorated dining room. The busser approached us, took our water service request, and informed us about who our server would be. Our server, Addison, came to our table while the busser refilled our water glasses and offered assorted citrus slices to flavor them. After my brother-in-law showed Addison the magnum of wine he brought and asked if the sommelier could uncork the bottle, since it was not only a 2006 vintage but also had a long, possibly fragile cork, even though they kept the bottle in their personal wine storage. Unfortunately, they didn't have a sommelier on duty, and Addison informed us of the restaurant's impending end-of-year closure and confidently said she could uncork it with her trusty corkscrew. However, my brother-in-law decided to give it the "ol' college try" and successfully uncorked the bottle. FOOD: -Fritto Misto: a platter of lightly battered and fried zucchini, shrimp, calamari, and vinegary peppers with marinara was delivered to our table and was quickly shared and devoured. Everyone felt the fritto misto was light, delicious, and perfectly cooked. $28 -The Meatball: We've often seen this appetizer ordered at the Las Vegas site, but we never ordered it because we felt it was too much food to share between us. However, now that we had our family surrounding us, we ordered it. The 16-oz meatball is made with fresh-ground imperial Wagyu, Italian sausage, and veal. It is served with whipped ricotta and marinara. We shared the tender, toothsome meatball among us and sopped up the sauce with garlic bread. $34 -Semolina Sesame Garlic Bread: Addison highly recommended this garlic bread to pair with The Meatball and sipping on our Cabernet blend wine. The lightly grilled-toasted loaf was served with three dipping sauces (marinara, basil pesto, & Gorgonzola dolce). $18 -Zitoni Genovese: braised short rib, sweet onions, pecorino Romano. I received a generous portion of Neapolitan or Sicilian zitoni pasta (larger ziti tubes) and an intensely flavorful, tomato-wine-based, fall-apart tender, slow-braised short ribs ragù. This comfort-food pasta dish was so rich and filling that I could barely eat half the portion and ended up bringing home leftovers. $33 -Faroe Island Salmon Oreganato: My husband cut into the salmon filet, which had a light crisp coating of breadcrumbs and revealed the fillet's tender medium-rare doneness. The rich, buttery-tasting salmon filet sat atop a melange of sautéed vegetables and was dressed with a lemon, white wine, and garlic butter sauce. My husband jokingly said he could feel his heart health improving with each bite. $39 The rest of my family ordered their own entrees, and when we were nearly finished with our meals, we decided to share a dessert. We ordered the luscious 20 Layer Chocolate Cake ($29), and each of us commented on the "decadence" of chocolate, peanut butter, and mascarpone. During our dining experience, Addison informed us that LAVO Los Angeles would sadly be closing at the end of the year. We were happy to have supported this restaurant, and it was great to see so many others show their support during the Holidays.

The ingredients are super fresh- the meat was salty, warm and tender- while the potatoes were buttery and creamy. The asparagus was crunchy, earthy and lemony. I got the skirt steak cooked medium rare -- flavor was good, but it was a little tough to cut. I think it would've paired even better with some garlic butter or chimichurri on the side. The mac and cheese was SO good and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Creamy, flavorful, and definitely something I'd order again. The pork chops were delicious and packed with flavor, but the spinach underneath was a bit too bitter for my taste. The mashed potatoes were creamy, soft, and comforting. We also loved the Brussels sprouts and Caesar salad -- both were super solid sides. Drinks were perfect and balanced out the dishes really well. Service and atmosphere were great too. Would definitely come back to try more items on the menu next time we are in the area.

We ordered the Wagyu burger, egg white turkey omelette with potatoes, & a side of bagels. The food was decent but very bland--nothing stood out, & we had to add salt for flavor to everything. Portions were small, with barely any avocado or pico, and not very filling. The bagels were good, but they gave very little cream cheese and even charged extra for more, which bad barely enough for one side of a beagle. Service was a bit disappointing. Our server was nice but It wasn't busy, yet our server rarely checked on us--we had to refill our own water & go get the pitcher. They also don't clearly mention when choosing sides it cost extra, which can add up quickly but a heads up would have been appreciated. Overall, we paid about $65 for two & left underwhelmed. It's fine for a casual hangout, but not somewhere I'd go to be impressed. I will say on a positive note, the baked goods, specifically the soft chocolate chip cookies, tasted very fresh! Other than that though we were quite a bit disappointed.

They have breakfast sandwiches, granola bowls, pancakes, omelettes, burgers, hot dogs, salads, bakery pastries and cake slices. There's a fridge full of various fresh cheeses and another fridge with ready to bake breads and pastries that you can take home to bake yourself. Lots of variety snacks throughout the store; often ones that you do not find at regular grocery stores. For example, they have dang Thai Rice chips, which are bomb good. I used to only be able to find these on Thrive market, so it's good to see a local place sell them. Staff were all friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. Interesting note is that they have various checkout counters throughout the store; it doesn't matter which counter you pay at. From the deli, I have tried... 1. Kale Salad with Spicy Peanuts & Queso Fresco It's technically supposed to be a healthy dish, but the sauce was too sweet for my liking. I think the sweetness is from the honey & the dried cranberries in it. Otherwise, the kale was fresh and spicy peanuts added a little bit of kick 2. Tarragon Chicken Salad The chicken was on the drier side, but the sour cream sauce was light and creamy - could use more herbs for flavoring though. I'll come back again for when I need a quick grub! Worth checking out if you are in the area
