They've been open only 6 weeks . Wanted to check out the E Baldi bigger sister restaurant in the Waldorf . Beautiful wood decor . Got bar seating only . The steak was good . Came with sauces . The shiitake mushrooms were not the same like ebaldi. Not crispy enough . Looking forward to coming back for the Florentine steak promised that is only available Wednesday to the weekend. Bar service personnel were friendly and fun .

My friends and I were so excited to try this brand new restaurant Baldi in the Waldorf for my birthday. When you pull up, valet takes your car and it's $15 with validation. You walk into the beautiful hotel and Baldi is immediately to the right. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful with high ceilings and decor. They also have outside seating where I saw the beautiful Elle Fanning dining with her Rollingstone boyfriend Gus. The vibe here was luxurious and lively. There's a bar area too and the co-owner of the Waldorf came to talk with us and told us to come back during happy hour which he said we will love. From my very first step inside everyone from the staff was wishing me a happy birthday which felt really good. Now let's get to the food. Our waiter Omer gave us some recs when asked. If you're expecting the same menu from giorgio baldi or e. baldi, don't...this is a steakhouse so the food is a bit different. We ordered the following: lemon spritz, espresso martini, chicken meatballs, burrata, Piccolo Grand Fritto Misto (calamari), Hamachi Carpaccio, sliced artichoke, Sweet Corn Tortellini, Lobster Linguine, Large Ricotta and Butternut Squash Gnocchi, Thin Filet of Salmon, Chicken Milanese, charred broccolini, and a slice of Cheesecake and slice of Chocolate for dessert. Everything was good, some better than others. My fave was the chicken meatballs, sweet corn tortellini, and butternut squash gnocchi. The artichoke and chicken Milanese leaves a lot to be desired and the hamachi was good but the peppercorn on it threw me off. I had a good time here and I'm excited to come back for happy hour and more nights out with my girls. They have only been open a couple of weeks and I already know this is going to be the new go to spot in Beverly Hills.

What an incredible dining experience. E & Co did not disappoint. The hamachi was fantastic, the Kale take on a Caesar salad was incredible and the Tiramisu plus coffee ice cream was so delicious! Omer provided us was excellent service, and the rest of the staff were just as accommodating and professional. Definitely coming back! You can thank me later.

Had a great experience at Baldi tonight. First off, the service was one of the best I've had in a while. From the moment you walk in to the end, you have a great staff trying to make your experience the best they can. The space is also beautiful. We sat outside and felt like we were on vacation. The food was great. We ordered the artichoke salad, corn tortellini pasta, pomodoro pasta, kosher ribeye, and potatoes. Everything was delicious. I would recommend this spot for a special night out.

Fabulous food at the beautiful new upscale steakhouse Baldi at the Waldorf Astoria hotel. We had the Wagyu Australian Tomahawk steak and the rib eye steak - both were cooked and flavored to absolute perfection. One of our guests said " best steak he's ever had in LA!! " Our delicious sides , asparagus, roasted potatoes and broccolini were perfect. We tried 3 desserts , burnt cheesecake ( beyond description!! ), apple pie with ice cream equally yummy , old fashion banana split! The service was exceptional, personal, attentive, warm and gracious ( thank you Jerod!) Highly recommend this epic new restaurant.

Started the night with cocktails, and I can say, the Ambrosia is delicious. It has a tequila base with coconut cream and passion fruit. Just very good. The Light My Fire was a nice show as it cooked our and is kit on fire, but the first didn't match that is the Ambrosia. So, with DineLA, we were given bread and butter at the table. The bread was actually more they basic and had a nice flavor to it. For our appetizer, I ordered the steak tartar. On the menu, it had a lot going on with Dijon mustard, chili sauce, shallots, cognac, etc, but I can't say so if there ingredients were noticable in the flavor profile or on the pallet. But paying that on the potato crisps was still a decent bite. The salmon tartar was decent as well but didn't necessarily stand out. The real winner was the meat sushi with avocado cream and parmesan. Totally unexpected and very good! In terms of entrees, we tried a little of everything. I had the wagyu NY steak, cooked medium rare. It was cooked very well on the inside, could have had a better crust on the outside. And they give you your own side of kosher salt so you can "salt bae" it yourself. You also had a choice of side between mashed potatoes and mushrooms. I got the mushrooms and I'm very glad I did. They were very good with 2-3 tired of mushrooms in the medley. The prime NY steak was ok, it didn't really stand out, and the wagyu burger was also decent but, in Los Angeles, with so many great burgers, you really need to step your game up it you want to be noticed, and this burger did not accomplish that. With dessert, there were four options. I choose the San Sebastian Cheesecake, and, for our table, no one really loved it. It is definitely not your standard cheesecake, much less sweet and without that nice graham cracker crust you come to know and love. There was a chocolate sauce on half of it which gave it a little something extra, but it really was not a hit for our table. The pistachio baklava came with a show as the assembled it, but the energy of the show to assemble the baklava was better then the baklava itself. Overall, a nice experience, staff was nice and attentive to our take and our needs, but the food just didn't hit as we all hoped it would.

I really gotta respect their dedication to red meat and the holy art of cooking a damn good steak. This place is essentially what I'm looking for in a restaurant. Basically hits on all cylinders and checks off all the critical boxes. I don't want to sound all dramatic and such, but I'm dying to go back and try all the other items I didn't have, as well as check out the bar experience. I spoke to some locals outside before they opened, and they weren't just lovely -- they also painted a pretty picture of what the overall vibe is here. It's clear a lot of people in the Beverly Hills and Hollywood Hills area love coming here very frequently. Our server, who I assumed is named Nolan because that's what's shown on the receipt, was very accommodating, kind, and easy to talk to. I think he did a fantastic job dealing with my difficult, picky gf. Haha. I can't say anything was less than stellar. The croquettes in that celery purée stuff were phenomenal. Garlic bread was seasoned and baked to perfection. The bone broth sipper was nourishing af. French fries were perhaps the best I've had in years. Broccolini was fresh, high quality, and complimented the steak very well. I'm bummed we only got to try just the ribeye when it came to the cuts, but my gf did not want to order anything under medium or medium rare that night, so that was a bummer. It's her loss! The panna cotta was the creamiest sweet treat in all of LaLa Land. This is a great place, and it's a top-tier steakhouse. SoCal sometimes lacks places of this caliber that NY, Chicago, and SF / Napa have, but this place is a very close contender to some of the top cream-of-the-crop, steak-centered restaurants in the country. Chef's kiss, Señoritos and Señoritas.

Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Unfortunately, our initial table was extremely close to a very loud neighboring party, making conversation difficult. To the restaurant's credit, the staff accommodated our request to move, and the new table significantly improved the experience. The food was excellent. We ordered the Dinner for Two, and every component was well executed and enjoyable. The quality of the beef was evident, and it was clear why MATŪ has built such a strong reputation. The cocktails were also well made. Where the experience began to unravel was the service. Wine service took roughly 20 minutes, dessert was noticeably delayed, and our server seemed to disappear for extended periods throughout the evening. The most frustrating part came at the end of the meal when it took more than 25 minutes to receive the check. When it finally arrived, it was delivered by a manager in a manner that felt dismissive rather than hospitable. To make matters worse, an automatic gratuity had already been added to the bill. While I understand the practice in some situations, it felt particularly disappointing given the level of service we received throughout the evening. MATŪ serves outstanding food, and that is what earns this review more than a few stars. However, hospitality is about more than what comes out of the kitchen. For a restaurant operating at this price point, the service should match the quality of the food. Unfortunately, on this visit, it did not. I left impressed by the meal but disappointed by the overall dining experience, and I'm not sure I would return.

Like a restaurant that's coasting on stories from the '80s. I was completely wrong. The inside is gorgeous. It's opulent, but in a reassuring way--not "look how expensive this is," more like, "We've been polishing this wood since your grandparents were dating." It feels less like a restaurant and more like a museum where they let you eat. Then the food showed up. The prime rib was, without question, the best I've ever had. The service was so good it almost made me uncomfortable. My water glass never got below halfway, and I started wondering if they had someone assigned exclusively to watching me drink. When I ordered a Twist cocktail and asked if it could be made with tequila instead, our server said he would check with the bartender. He later returned and tol us it wasn't possible, so my friend ordered a different drink instead. What was frustrating is that he never mentioned happy hour had ended while we were waiting for him to come back. We were then charged $10 for the original drink we never received, and the replacement drink was charged at full price because happy hour had expired. That didn't feel fair since the delay was entirely on the server's end. To make matters worse, a 20% service charge was already added to the bill, yet the service was some of the worst we've experienced. Between the long wait, poor communication, and incorrect charges, the experience didn't match the reputation or prices of this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it based on the service alone. This place might have been a hotspot a decade ago, but it clearly hasn't kept up. We came as a party of six and every single person left disappointed, which says a lot. The biggest issue was the food quality. We ordered a wide range of items, including sushi, steaks, sides, and dessert -- and not one dish impressed. Service however was great - 2 stars for that .  Both sushi dishes had to be sent back, which is already a bad start for a restaurant of this caliber. The steaks, which should be the highlight, were underwhelming and but not terrible. Sides didn't redeem the experience either, infact the lobster mac and cheese, in particular, was shockingly bad. It tasted like microwaved Kraft with a tiny, almost nonexistent piece of lobster. Our favorite item on the menu was the bread basket and bone marrow.  Even dessert fell flat, which is rare to mess up but somehow still happened. For a group of self-proclaimed food lovers, this was genuinely surprising -- and not in a good way. There are far better options at this price point. Steak 48 easily outshines Mastro's in both quality and execution, and even BOA along with BLVD deliver a more consistent and enjoyable experience. The bolognese was comforting and satisfying, a classic done well, and the Caesar salad was fresh, crisp, and but not presented as a traditional Caesar. It is two romaine wedges. Hmm... where do I start?…read more I was interested in booking one of their private dining rooms, so I reached out well in advance. I have to say the communication leading up to the event was pretty disappointing. I sent emails, called multiple times, and often got no response. I eventually found out that only certain people handled private event bookings, but getting in touch with them was a challenge. Every time I called the hotel, I was told they had sent the events team a message. Even after I finally secured the reservation and paid the deposit, I still had questions that went unanswered. In fact, some of them weren't addressed until the night before the event, which was pretty stressful when you're trying to coordinate a special occasion. For a hotel that markets itself as a luxury 5-star property, I honestly expected much better communication and customer service. The booking process definitely did not feel like a 5-star experience. That said, once the day of the event arrived, everything went much more smoothly. The service during dinner was good, and the staff took care of us well. We had a prix fixe menu for our guests. I had the steak, which was cooked really well, and the tiramisu was a nice way to end the meal. Most importantly, everyone had a great time, which is what mattered in the end. One tip if you're planning to come here: there's an underground public parking garage right next to the hotel that's much cheaper than using the valet. Overall, the food and service on the day of the event helped make up for a lot of the frustration beforehand. I just wish the communication and event planning process matched the standard that The Maybourne advertises.

I also had a Raspberry Breeze mocktail, which was sweet, tart, and bubbly! To eat, we started with the Rock Shrimp, which had a great spicy flavor and crunch to it. We also tried the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, which I liked, but I think the price on this item is a little steep, and you might be better off ordering another roll or menu item. For rolls, we ordered the Crunchy, the Tiger, the Lemon, and the Killer. Of these, my favorite had to be the Killer, as it was super fresh and had a great kick to it. Chef Salvador graciously sent over some Bluefin Tuna and Yellowtail nigiri for my partner and me to try, and it was such a thoughtful gesture and delicious treat for us. We were also kindly given a key lime pie to end our meal and celebration on a sweet note. The presentation for everything was lovely, and I really enjoyed the little radish stars! Overall, the fish is among the best and freshest I've had, the drinks are great, and the service is unmatched; I truly felt catered to and cannot wait for my next experience here! Thank you, Levi, Chef Salvador, and everyone at the Red Fish for an unforgettable anniversary dinner!
