Still one of my LA favorites and highly recommended pizza parlors. Came in yesterday to pick up two pies to go. Always good pizza and friendly customer service.

There's a lot to like about upper crust... thin crispy crust, not salt, tasty pizza. Service was fast and friendly for pick up. However, they were light on the toppings, and we the 2 of us were still hungry after eating a large.

We stopped by Upper Crust Pizzeria to pick up some pizza to-go. Love the double entendre name. The place is pretty cute and there are some tables and chairs to sit at if you want to eat there. They have an open kitchen which I always appreciate. You order up at the counter when you walk in. The pizza slices are not on display which is a little strange. They do have a water dispenser at the register which is a nice touch. They also have a rewards program. We ordered some slices of margarita and a slice of cheese to go. After waiting just a few minutes, I decided to get a second slice of cheese to-go. We waited a very long time to get our order. The people behind us in line, who were eating in, received their pizzas before us. We were first in line when we walked in so it wasn't like we were waiting for someone else. We had to go feed the meter a few times. When I asked what was taking so long and why the people behind us were served first, we were told that it was because I came back and ordered a second slice of cheese. In my humble opinion, a slice of pizza should only take a few minutes to warm and pack unless they were making it from scratch which I doubt was the case here especially with the cheese slice. I've never had this experience before at a pizza shop. I will say that the cashier did make it up to us by giving us an extra slice of cheese to go. The slices of pizza were generous. The toppings tasted very fresh. I appreciate that they use ingredients that are never canned or frozen. The sauce was tasty. However, I did not care for the dough. It's a thin crust but it was very chewy. I prefer a crispy, crunchy thin crust pizza. My pizza was also lukewarm which was strange as I did not have far to travel and we ate it right away. I'm glad I gave Upper Crust Pizzeria a try but I did not feel like I got an "upper crust" experience here. Metered parking on the street.

Selling by slice. I got a cheese slice - the portion is huge, crispy dough, ingredients are well balanced. The taste was good, nothing mind blowing. A solid slice. $5.20 for a slice in BH / give me 2! Service was friendly and fast. They play some music, interior is cool. Recommended

Pizza was okay, I was expecting a little more from this place in regard to their pizza. It was burnt on the crust which is always my favorite part. The red sauce tasted unseasoned as well :(. Staff was very nice and the pizza does look good just was a huge let down.

Pizza was good and toppings were generous! Wouldn't say it's the best pizza I've had but will likely be back since it's close to home and service was quick

We stopped by after visiting the observatory. We ordered a large and medium pizza and the large was absolutely huge. I felt bad leaving all of that great pizza behind but since we still had a lot of stuff to do that day. The pizza was excellent; fresh toppings and great crust. The middle of the large was a little floppy because it was so massive. That one had to be eaten with a fork and knife.

Had to try some local pizza and got a big slice of cheese. It was definitely NY style you had to fold it to eat it and the flavor was right on. Cooked nice and crunchy for the crust it was good! 3.95 for the cheese slice isn't too bad either. Staff was very friendly and there is tables both indoor and out front. Parking might be a little more challenging with how busy the whole neighborhood is.

This is my new favorite place for pizza! I came here by accident because I usually go to Urth Caffe next door and decided to give it a try. The slices are so good -- very thin crust pizza that rivals my usual NY-style go-to places around LA. They state that they make their pizza with fresh, never frozen ingredients and I have to say the freshness and flavor are noticeable. Love the taste of the crispy crust, the delicious tomato sauce and the nice saltiness of the real cheese on top. They sell whole pies, but I love getting slices here for only around $4 each. I can't wait to try their wings because they're all baked! This is rare as usually wings are fried and I love that this is a healthier option that also looks delicious. They're open late (especially for Beverly Hills), have great friendly customer service, and a clean women's bathroom!

I ordered delivery, to their credit it was about 20 minutes before closing so I understand how that might be frustrating but the pizza lacked love. First I paid for extra cheese and I can say that it did not at all have extra cheese. Next the pizza could have been cooked a minute longer give it that crust and no flop. The pizza is thin crust. I was not a fan of the dough or the pizza sauce but they had great quality cheese that was not oily or heavy. That part was great. I also ordered some chicken fingers. Nothing to rave about, I wouldn't try that again. Ultimately I'll give this place one more shot.

The link to the business on yelp sent me to a platform where delivery was applied. I messaged the business owner about this, and he informed me that can be the case depending on which platform is used to place the order. He suggested I use this link: https://www.toasttab.com/upper-crust-beverly-hills-ca. The pizza was super thin, crispy and HUGE. The chicken wings I ordered was plain, but it was still packed with flavor. I placed an order for extra marinara sauce, which I dipped the crust in. The delivery arrived right at the requested arrival time. I'll be trying this place again in the near future.

Felt like pizza for dinner. The place had no patrons and I was able to order immediately. The man at the front was nice and quickly set us up for outside seating. I had a choice of Mulberry Pizzeria or Fresh Brothers across the street but I came here instead. I ordered the mushroom and pepperoni pizza with some BBQ wings. It came out fresh and hot and reminded me of pizza I've had in New York. The place has lots of parking if you can secure one in the front. It's has seating inside and outside and the place is clean. Overall, the staff is nice and food good. I'll be back again for sure

I decided to get a slice of pepperoni and also asked what else was good. I was told the vodka on a square is probably the best bet. The pepperoni slice tasted like a New York pizza, which was interesting because there aren't too many places that have that unique taste, aside from like village pizzeria. It was slightly better than that location, but also more costly, so you win some and you lose some. But what I really enjoyed was the vodka square slice. It had a creamy and savory sauce that really just hits, and then some spice that really brings it all together. It's really hard for me to think of another pizza that the square vodka slice compared to. The basil really brought the slice together as well. And the best part about it is it's memorable, and that becomes rarer and rarer as time goes by. The service is pretty quick, around 10 minutes to get your order after placing it. The ambiance is a small shop where you stand and eat. Pretty solid pizza place.

I am not someone who prefers a particular type of sauce although I do lean lite and sweet. The best square slice we had was easily the vodka slice. The pancetta and pepperoni were really good as well. I believe the reason the vodka slice was our favorite square slice was due to the crust. The crust in the pepperoni and pancetta slices were a little too hard and didn't have as much give and chew. The slices of their round cheese pizza were very good. I would say just as good if not better than the vodka slice. The crust and flavor of the cheese slices were really good. Remember though, this place is CASH ONLY! This also one of the few places in LA that has parking, so that was a plus. It is limited though due to being in a small area with multiple store fronts.

We arrived a little early for our reservation, and even though they were busy, they seated us right away outside. Our table was along the walkway, which wouldn't necessarily be my first choice next time, but I appreciated that they got us settled without making us wait around. The outdoor area had a relaxed neighborhood feel, and it was nice being outside while the evening was warm. We started with the Fiori di Zucca. The squash blossoms were stuffed with ricotta and Parmigiano, lightly fried, and served with marinara. They were good, although they weren't the dish I found myself thinking about afterward. That honor goes to the mussels. I wasn't expecting them to be my favorite thing we ordered, but they absolutely were. The broth was flavorful enough that I kept going back to it after the mussels were gone, which is usually my personal test for whether a mussel dish has done its job. We also shared the Pappardelle alla Vaccinara with braised oxtail ragù, Parmigiano, and rosemary oil. The ragù had a deep, meaty flavor, and I liked how the rosemary oil cut through some of the richness. It was a solid pasta, but the mussels still won the night for me. My cocktail was light and refreshing, with cucumber and mint, and worked especially well with dinner outside. Everything we ordered was flavorful, and the meal made for a lovely belated birthday dinner. Parking around this stretch of 3rd can be a little tricky. I ended up finding street parking a few blocks away, but Oste does offer valet, which would have saved me the neighborhood parking hunt. For a first visit, I'm glad I finally got to try Oste. It was a relaxed, flavorful dinner and a really nice way to celebrate a belated birthday.
