BBQ plate with side salad and Mac, sliced brisket, and jalapeños cheese sausage.

Jon's is a good place for dinner. We usually get a baked potato with brisket or the bbq plate. The brisket is usually a winner. The milkshakes are good too. The staff is usually nice and and it's a fun place to go watch a game. We enjoy the place and think more people should give it a try. Many nights we go and it is not busy at all. It should be packed. The prices are not bad either and it's open late.

Stopped in today for lunch, the place wasn't super busy. Great variety on the menu. If I could rate this place 3.5 I would simply because the turkey on my club (while having great flavor) was pretty dry. Definitely make sure you add some sort of condiment if you choose to order that sandwich. The man had the smokehouse burger which he said was phenomenal. Service was very friendly and attentive. Vibe was laid back and chill.

If you're looking for a great spot right next to TCU, you have to check out Jon's Grille. It's become a total tradition for my family--we love to stop by every single time we're in the area visiting my sister at college. Honestly, I have never had a bad experience here. The vibe when you walk in is amazing, and everyone is so friendly there that it just feels like home. It really does the job when you want a solid, reliable meal. I absolutely love the BBQ sandwiches, and the mac n cheese has a great smoky taste that you don't find just anywhere. There is so much to choose from on the menu and lots of meats to pick from, so everyone in the family finds something they love. Their plates are amazing, but there's still so much more I want to try. If you're in Fort Worth, this place is a must!

2 meat plate on both, double sliced brisket, and the other turkey and my friend had so much brisket he gave me a slice

In a world of sheisty new California standards, jons grille KNOWS texas standards. This is what you get for about 20$ which is what everything costs now for a meal, probably more. But here you KNOW, you're getting quality and plenty of it. Born and raised in Dallas. I enjoy MANY cultures of food. This place NEVER dissapoints

First time here ! Nice atmosphere! It was my first time here. I stopped in for some burnt ends and a burger. I got talked into the burger of the month. It was topped with Asian slaw. I should have just got the regular burger but I finished all of it because the beef was good and juicy. The burnt ends were over cooked and I didn't finish all of them. The sauce wasn't that great either. I'll give this place another try in the future.

I remember this spot as the Aardvark from my TCU days, so I was surprised to see a restaurant when we went down to visit. This spot had good (deserved) reviews, so we decided to check it out. Think sports bar with elevated selections. This is definitely not your typical wings and pizza spot: the burgers are great and their milk shakes are to die for. The cobbler and s'mores shakes were both delicious and truly a highlight of the meal! I was sold on the featured burger/burger of the month, which was a Hawaiian style burger with grilled pineapple and teriyaki, plus the usual fixings. Overall it was tasty and the fries were good. We had started with some chips and queso which were also a pleasant surprise. I tend to set the bar low for sports bar queso, but this was honestly so good we ordered a second round. Our server was truly amazing: she helped us make our selections (all her recs were superb) and also hooked us up with a larger bowl of queso on our second order. Parking was the only "issue" per se as there really isn't a lot of available space behind the restaurant. We ended up parking on a side street nearby. Overall, this was a fun night with some good food. Would definitely stop by again!

5 Stars across the Board, Great Food, Service,Atmosphere. We had the BBQ Plate with Brisket, Burnt ends which were absolutely perfect our sides were Mexican elote and sweet potatoes fries everything exceeded expectation we started off with the Trainwreck appetizer which consisted of Housemade Fries, Tortilla Chips, Queso, Chopped Brisket, Jalapeños, Scallions & Cilantro. We enjoyed a Margarita and Balconces during the meal. Guys it just doesn't get much better than this we split the platters and brought some home. For what most places are charging for brisket nowadays this absolutely the most reasonable best tasting I've had in quite some time.

Nice bar and restaurant with large seating areas and family-friendly spaces. Super friendly staff and good service. The food was fresh with tender cuts of meat and nice Rye bread. My favorite was the burnt ends... love the flavor!! Chips and queso were good and the salsa was amazing! (It is spicy!) I was excited to try out this spot from some recent reviews on a FB foodie group and I would return to try more. Tips: parking sucks, but worth a short walk if you park on the residential street a few blocks away.

I recently tried the brisket and it was fabulous. Bea delivered great service. Queso fries were fantastic too.

Went in for my usual burger, but went with Brisket. Bea allowed me to swap sides and got me the "moist" side of brisket. Fabulous brisket/fabulous service!

We poke our heads in (accidentally going through the exit door. the front door is well camouflaged) and just found a wonderful very chilled out bar. Haven't been to a speakeasy in a long time. It was dark lighting with ambient black lights and string lights to keep it dim but you wont struggle to see through. Music was not super loud and the chairs were incredibly comfortable and the whole place was laid out to just have drinks and lounge while talking with friends. No food, which is fine. You have plenty of options on the same block for that. This place is just for drinks and conversation. The seasonal menu was awesome. It iss a bar so they of course can make anything you request if you don't want a specialty cocktail. I got my favorite, a moscow mule but they had a brazilian mule on the specialty menu. I never had that before and ordered it on the spot. It was grapefruit vodka with lime, lots of fine pellett nugget ice (the really good kind) with ginger beer and condensed milk. My god it was great, they told me how they made it because i never saw milk added to this before. It was a delicious limeade that almost was slushy like, creamy and with tangy vodka. Plus they actually served it in a proper copper mug. Best mixed drink ive had period and a cool twist on my favorite standard moscow mule. The place is now going to become a frequent haunt for us. Its very laid back, relaxed, with fantastic ambiance. It doesn't get jammed packed and is not meant to get wild in. We went there around 7pm on a friday night with about 8 or so others already there with their drinks. It did pick up later with 15-20 people in there but still spacious and comfortable. It genuinely was just a nice bar to have drinks and conversations with friends. Nice music that isn't too loud so you can talk with normal voice levels. The bartenders we had were super nice and charismatic. The drinks were not expensive, a respectable 13 bucks for my mule. If you have a bill over 40 dollars they automatically add 20% gratuity to it so keep that in mind when you are tipping. And after 8pm everything had 20% gratuity added to the bill. But the service is so damn good that you will probably still want to tip on top of that anyways. I loved it so much i actually made a yelp account just to post a review. TLDR super cool speakeasy type joint, cool aesthetics and laundry theme. Not loud, good for drinks and chit chat, cool well crafted specialty cocktails that don't break the bank. Good bartenders. Good times. Cozy seats that encourage you to hang out and talk even with folks you haven't met before and dim without being dark lighting. Clean bathroom too and quick charismatic service. Hit this place up for sure even just for the novelty of it. It was a wonderful surprise bar for a date night. Pro tip for this area in general. all paid parking, some place validates some do not, i am unsure if they do here but there is paid parking right out front and also a paid lot literally across the street. But i don't even bother. About a block and a half away northeast is a big shopping complex with a target. i just park there for free and walk. its a short nice walk and doesn't cost 20 bucks.

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.
