Absolutely not. I've been sitting on this review for a few weeks and it's been eating me up but I have to say it. I went in on a weekday lunch and sat at the bar. Ordered a glass of wine and a pizza. Ate a few slices - food tasted fine - and got a box. I'm sitting there playing a game on my phone and suddenly the largest cockroach I've ever seen in my life comes walking across the bar where I'm sitting. I silently panic and jump from my seat. Randomly the manager happened to be right in front of me (she was in the bar pit) and saw me freak out and then she smooshed the roach. The people next to me were mortified, I was so disgusted I didn't know what to do but also, I didn't want a bunch of attention on me so I stayed quiet. The manager who smooshed the roach just walked away, didn't say a word to me. No one came and offered to clean the bar top where I was sitting, nothing... she said nothing. Eventually, I ask for my check and the same manager came and said "we took care of your pizza" and that was it. So I paid my bill and left The bartenders were mortified and one came up to me after and offered her apology. I was shocked by the lack of care and professionalism by the manager and I will never be back read more

Jonathan's Grille was a great spot overall, with a fun atmosphere and solid menu options. Everything we tried was good, but the real standout was the pretzel appetizer. It was by far the winner--super light, fluffy, and perfectly done. Honestly one of the best pretzels I've had. Definitely worth ordering when you go! On top of that, our waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal, which really added to the experience. I am a fan of most Jonathan's location, this one included which is situated near Cool Spring Galleria in front of a Hampton Inn. It has all your standard Jonathan's Grille vibes from the entry way to the bar area, dining room and covered patio. I have been to this location for lunch and more recently dinner. They are always consistent across the brand, which is nice as I know what to expect no matter which spot I pop into. This consistency encompasses not only the restaurant layout, but food as well as service. Jonathan's menu seems to be ever expanding with the "new" tags popping up on a variety of items each year. Not sure if they are trying to compete with the nearby Cheesecake Factory, but they are headed in that direction! I mean, variety is good, so I am not mad at it. I have my go-to's and favorites, no matter how much the menu expands. Speaking of those "new" items plus my favorites...We started our evening with the classic Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Southwest Eggrolls. Both tasty and a great kick off to the meal. I then went with the new Little Broken Wedge salad, which is a variation of the classic salad presented with the wedge already cut. It did make it easier to eat and manage, so I can dig it. For my main I went with the classic 10 piece Cajun wings and blue cheese. Wings were decent, could have used a bit more seasoning and I forgot I was not a fan of their blue cheese as it is very thin and lacks that tang and thickness I enjoy. With that being said, the food was solid, no major complaints. Oh, and while I did not get it tonight, the Chipotle Chicken Flatbread is always *chefs kiss* Parking at this location can get tricky pretty quick. What seems like a big lot gets full very quick. Normally you would think overflow in the neighboring hotel lot, however be careful as they frown upon that. If really needed, you can find spots at nearby Cool Springs Galleria and walk over. Overall, I am a fan of Jonathan's Grille. Consistency, solid food, fair prices, good portions and friendly service! read more

I stayed in a nearby hotel and after a day of traveling, Jonathan's was a good walkable option. I think the 3.6 stars is accurate. It's a good place for apps, burgers, pizza, etc. it was priced right. Plenty of seating and on a week night, it was pretty full. If you're looking for some bar food, this is a good option. read more

I don't know what happened to this place - maybe Cisco foods- I don't know ... anyhow we ordered take out for Mother's Day 3 meals totaling $70. 1st meal -the burger was ok the sweet potato fries were hard dry and garbage - 2nd meal Santa Fe chicken - dry bland fries also terrible were soggy and tasteless . 3rd meal fish n chips ( this one was really bad as 8 yrs ago I sat in this restaurant enjoying the best fish n chips ) the fish was skinny little strips maybe 3 inches long ( 4 of them) and soggy disgusting fries for $18 the only redeemable feature was the salad was mid. This is awful , for Mother's Day we gardened all day then decoded on takeout from this place that was so good only to blow $70 on food that was less that fast food ! So mad n disgusted ! read more

Washed down with the draught house lager, also very good...and would order again. We were in a private room suitable for groups. Family friendly. Popular happy hour specials. Two gripes: * The credit card surcharge, something new and should just go away. Wastes people's time handling cash. * Floors need a thorough cleaning. In the past, I would have given them 4 stars if not 5. The food has always been reliable and good. We've been several times and not noticed it until someone commented on a post about the location coming to Brentwood. They are adding a 3% hospitality charge - no notice. It just shows up regardless of how you pay. It is not a credit card fee, we asked. Because at other places that let you know about the credit card fee, we pay cash. So we asked and they said that no, it was a hospitality charge and not related to how you pay it. And there is no sign, no note on the menu, nothing. So we now realize that we must have missed it the last few times we have been in there. I am tired of add on fees especially ones you are not told about upfront. Be upfront and transparent. Also, the fish and chips was off last night - not sure if that was just a hiccup or not. The pieces of fish were smaller than they have always been, it was overly salty and greasy. They have it listed that you can add chicken or salmon to any salad but no price for doing so and our server couldn't tell us how much it was for sure, $6 or maybe $8. Never offered to verify. Finally said it was $8 to add chicken so chances are, the salmon was more than $8. It's a shame that all of our old standbys are starting to cut portion sizes, raise prices, tag on add on fees without warning or with no explanation. read more

We walked over from our hotel just to have a quick dinner and watch part of a football game. We were seated quickly on a busy Saturday night and had a very attentive server. Our food was way better than expected and we left stuffed and happy. For it being a sports bar type of place I was happy that it wasn't overly loud and you could still carry on a normal conversation while a huge playoff game was going on. The picture at the restaurant did not do it justice so I took another when the sun was out to try and capture the amount of fresh ingredients used. This was recommended to me by the hotel I was staying at. We came after being at cheer competition all day. I ordered the Bison burger which was extremely bland. They couldn't have seasoned it even with mayo, pickles, lettuce, tomato and bbq sauce it didn't have any favor. My mom had the broccoli cheddar soup and it also didn't have any favor. My youngest had the pizza with pepperoni- she didn't complain but also only ate half of it. The best thing the table had was the cookie skillet. Not sure I would visit again. read more

Courtney is honestly super nice. We had a bad impression of this location until speaking with Courtney. The inside has a lot of TVs definitely a sports bar. When we were there, it was very chaotic however we were in town for national pageant, so I am sure a lot of people were there from that as it was very close to the Pageant location. Bartenders were fantastic. Hostesses were not very helpful when bar was full. I ordered the sirloin steak and loaded potato. The potato only came with butter and sour cream. The steak was cooked perfectly, but it was a very poor cut of meat. I would definitely not order a steak here. Only get sandwiches or apps. Flatbreads and pizzas looked good. This bar has real potential! The Bartenders are amazing! I have a real issue with the tolerance of the smoking. If you are sitting in the bar anywhere near the door to the bar patio it's like sitting in an ashtray. It makes it unpleasant and difficult to enjoy a meal. Something really needs to be done about this awful smell. It's awful and disgusting! read more

We've been here a few times and each time the servers are either overwhelmed with too many tables and as a result the service is not good or they are chillin and not taking care of the tables they have. I was craving wings! Boneless wings. We got hot and medium (5 for $9 of one flavor, and $9 more dollars if you want 5 of a different flavor, 10 of the same flavor I believe was $14). Some of the bites didn't taste like normal chicken and definitely not the boneless wings I was craving. Fries were mediocre and same with the coleslaw. Our table was wobbly and overall I wasn't very impressed. At least our waitress was super nice and efficient! Not sure if we will be back, but if so, not for the boneless wings. read more

They practice a tag team approach, so our waitress wasn't the one to deliver our food. There apparently is no communication between the waitress and the kitchen. The kitchen is simply cranking out the food without regards to any timing. Our waitress later came by and dropped off our bill, without inquiring if we wanted more iced tea, more food, dessert or coffee. Very disappointed in the level of service and poor staff training. It was pretty crowded but we had no problem getting a table. Lots of people watching basketball and plenty of screens. I've been a long time frequent patron at Jonathan's and it's pretty solid, the service is good and fast! They are often busy during games and happy hour so finding a parking spot can be a challenge. As far as food they have several food items that you can't go wrong . My favorite time to dine here is on Tuesday for buy one get one free pizza, which is pretty tasty. They as have different happy hour specials each day and Who does love a good happy hour!!!! Overall, it's pretty great service, it can become loud but family friendly. My only grips are the sticky floors, from maybe spills and not cleaning up immediately. And a FYI if your one who doesn't like to pay service charges bring cash, because when you use your card they charge an extra 3%, iI didn't really pay attention until I heard a table complain. We had lunch with my father in law this past weekend while in town visiting. We arrived around 1pm and ordered several entrees. I went with melodys french dip with fries. The French dip was good and I enjoyed the au jus. The fries were alright, I wish they had a little more flavor. My husband loved the flatbread he ordered. The 12" inch pizza was loaded with toppings. The food was terrible. We have been to this restaurant for happy hour before and the flatbread was soggy but we didn't say anything and just chalked it up to a bad night. We came again tonight and the garlic parmesan(dry rub) wings were completely tasteless. I sent them back because they were just that bad and I honestly just couldn't see paying for that. instead of the manager coming out and speaking to us about it the server had to come and tell us that the manager said that was just how the wings are and they're not going to be any better if they remake them. I truly felt this was inappropriate and the server should not be tasked with this explanation as most times it is the server that people blame when something isn't right. Being that I really just wanted wings I ordered the garlic mild wings(wet sauce) hoping that they would be good this time. I ordered a side of the sauce as well in case they needed more flavor. The sauce was literally just mild sauce. So, my wings were mild wings with possibly a little garlic in the sauce. This is very disappointing! No manager still! We are 0/2 with food at Jonathan's Grille in Franklin, TN. They have a great happy hour listed but if happy hour food is subpar then there is no point in going to eat food there. 0/10 recommend. The server was good to begin with but after the wing issue she was not in it mentally so then ended up not really taking good care of us. No manager ever came by our table. What a disappointing trip to Jonathan's. It's going to be very difficult to talk ourselves into trying again. Thanks to Yelp, we found this restaurant, and it's now one of our favorites outside the city limits. Sports bar ambiance with TVs on every inch possible, airing whatever sports you can think of. Got seated right away and got instant service. Ordered pretzels, a wrap, and a burger. Everything came out as expected and was very filling. Get the onion rings, they are delicious. Only thing that bothered me was that we were given the check. Then we were stared at until we paid said check, which we were watching something and not ready to pay.
