Years ago I went into their lovely store after window shopping and saw a sign about making a wish for your husband to buy for you, clever, I thought. I picked out pale green emerald earrings. When my May birthday was getting close, I hinted for my hubby to go there. When he did, someone suggested deeper emerald green thus a tiny size to be similar in cost. I was disappointed but acted appreciative. I wore them that day then added them to my fine wooden jewlery box untiil I would trade them for my original pick as any shade of green works for me and that was the Cardin deal. The day I visited Cardin, a middle aged thin lady w glasses, inspected my emerald green tiny, child size earrings stating one had a crack!! This was not visible to the naked eye and I told her how they had been stored carefully only wearing them once. I know the jewler who put the prongs must have been responsible, not me but she flat out refused to make the promised trade. It still bothers me to this day and never purchased from Cardin again. Came in for a wristband fix on a watch and ended up buying a Seiko watch from him. Excellent personalized, friendly, professional service. Shop is on Main Street in Nashua, New New Hampshire. When the wristband on the watch was too loose he took out a link for me. When he did that, watch fit perfectly. read more

I would once again like to sing the praises of Cardin Jewelers in Nashua. This morning, one of our students came to us with his broken watch and looked pretty sad about it. He kept it in his pocket for the day. I decided that I wanted to get it fixed for him, but wasn't sure if he'd give it to me. I asked him at lunch if he would let me get it fixed. He looked shocked and like maybe he wanted to say yes, but I told him to put it back in his pocket and think about it. I think this watch is special to him. He came to me at the end of the day, and handed it to me. I promised him that I would take good care of it, and that I was taking it to a nice jewelry store. Then we talked about the fact that it might take a couple of days and asked if that was okay with him. He decided that it would be okay to leave it there for a night or two. Things haven't been easy for him. He graduates next week. He needs his watch...and I wanted to do something kind for him. So I took it to Cardin after work, and tried not to ask many questions, but needed a slight idea on a turnaround time because I knew he'd be worried. I told them it was for my student. Tim Cardin told me he'd see if he had the part and would call me. A short time later, he called to say it was ready. When I went to pick it up, there was no charge, and they asked to check and clean my rings. This small local business is the real deal. These are great people. Please do business with them. If its broke , take it to Cardin Jewelers !! I had an almost 30 year old prism ball , and as I motioned for another car to pass , so did my prism ball , and the small metal piece that was used to hang it from the chain was gone. I looked everywhere , but nowhere was it to present itself. Knowing my car would probably fall apart without my good luck prism , so my first thought was go to Cardin Jewelers , they will know what to do. You may like modern or traditional, and they have the full range. Tim Cardin even hunts for great antique and estate pieces which fill two cases. There is also a wall of clocks if that's the type of gift for which you're searching. If you always have problems shopping for a lady in your family, or want to start a nice tradition to grow with a girl you know, they have a selection of charms, and necklaces where you add a pearl for special occasions until one day, voila! You've got a full pearl necklace that will be passed down in the family. If you don't see what you're looking for, they can find it. My parents wanted to fill a birthday wish for me, so they went here and the Cardins looked until they found exactly what I wanted. If you need help looking for engagement & wedding rings, they're a big help. typically I use YELP as an outlet for food service & experience...but i found my experience here quite horrifying & felt the need to share. The people who "run" the place are nothing more than miscreants from the sales to the management. When I asked a question in regards to "quality" I was treated as if I had no idea what I was talking about. I have found much better service at places just feet from Cardin's front door. She was extremely knowledgable and helped educate me on some different factors to consider in my search for the perfect ring. My husband has bought all my jewelry at Cardin's and we have been customer's for years. They have never failed to give us personal service and have done the little things that keep us coming back. We weren't able to afford a ring when we got married and after purchasing pearls and some other pieces, he bought a ring for me at Cardin's.
