Sierra helped us out and let us interact and pet all of the Syrian hamsters they had. None of them were quite right for us, but Sierra was just outstanding. I was really blown away with how helpful she was and how well she knew the different hamsters. So often you go to a pet store and the employees don't get to spend a lot of time with the animals, and the animals are less social because of that. I wish that employees could spend more time with the animals - because they are the heart of the store. Anyway, definitely a great store, great energy, great layout, and fantastic service! read more

Went here yesterday with my 4 month old toy poodle to get her a vest/leash. I can't express enough the exceptional customer service I received in this store from Kevin and Bri! Cons: floors looked dirty and there were empty boxes and carts full of things lingering around the store. Well we had an amazing experience from the whole team. We walked in and were immediately greeted by Mel and she was so helpful with picking out an enclosure for our new bearded dragon. Pam checked us out and she was the sweetest and so patient with us. We spotted a crack in the tank and Keith, Ari, Kevin, Mel and Pam were all hands on deck trying to assist us in getting a new tank. Picked up our dog from the groomers and didn't even know him. She apparently accidentally shaved his brow off and then shaved his Schnauzer mustache said it was knotted . It was sticky but they just didn't want to take the time it was only a few months between grooming. It is horrifying. They never did this before and we went longer between grooming during the Winter. read more

We've been taking our dog here for a couple years. This last time is probably our last. Seems like we leave the groomers with directions and then they do whatever they feel like. The add ons for extra brushing ot mats have gotten out of control. My dog who had a beautiful coat now looks like a wet rat. Pretty upsetting read more

Upon picking them up Lily told me Krystal didn't like the dryer so she took extra time with her and Kaylee she said did great. I told her it was only Krystals second time getting groomed and she said she did great for only second time. Both my pups will be going back to Lily. i am absolutely baffled by the "training". me and my husband walked into the store earlier today and there was a training session going on. One of the owners dogs continues to bark and the TRAINER says "snap the collar" "snap the collar" the owner proceeds to SMACK his dog upside the head for barking and to redirect the dog to the owner. the "trainer" than proceeds to say "see and that's what we do to re direct the dog to us".... i'm sorry what? you don't not HIT a dog for training. i'm sorry but smacking a dog in its face does nothing but making it head shy. i've worked in a animal hospital for YEARS and the amount of patients we get that are head shy is sad. REAL trainers know that physical abuse does not train a dog but it makes them more fearful. do you really want your dog to be scared of you? We had a groomer appointment that we made for our two dogs the Sunday before Friday 3/29 for 10AM. There were a few things going on at home that morning but we made it to the grooming shop, inside their doors at 10:05am. I was carrying my senior 14 year old dog and my other pup on the leash. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with the names of our pups. The greeter then continues to ask me if I have my updated vaccines record for my younger pup and I said yes, I have it right here on my phone, we got them done yesterday. She proceeds to tell me that they can't groomer her because the vaccines require 48 hour wait time so they won't be able to groomer her, without a pause in her announcement she continues to acknowledge my senior pup in my arms and told me that our assigned groomer is very backed up today so they will also not be able to groomer her as well. I asked her if she tried to call me before my arrival and she said yes, we did. I have phone records showing that they did call me, at 10:05am, when I was already inside the salon. I was offered on the spot to rebook but I had told her I will call them back because I am no longer going back. We were never once informed when we called to book the appointment that rabies vaccine requires to be done 48 hours prior to the groom appointment. I was never called anytime prior to my arrival that our groomer was running behind and that I didn't need to come in. I don't believe anyone thought that it was an inconvenience to make me come all the way to the shop with my dogs to tell me in person that I wasn't even welcomed that day. This was very disappointing and we wanted to support the groomers and staff at PetSmart but we will not be returning. The reason I am leaving this here is because management should know how our situation was handled so poorly. There were no follow-up calls to see how we were or if we were interested in booking again. Extremely disappointing. read more

Staff are very friendly and always greet you when walking in. The store is organized and neat. But that's the only two stars I feel happy giving because the fish section is sad.. in every tank, there are 3-5 dead fish. It's sad to see because it could make the rest of the tank sick, which pushes you back from purchasing a fish here. There are more than enough staff members cleaning and doing other things but what about some love for the fish? read more

I was honestly disgusted with the state of their fish. In small tanks, they overstock them to the brim, and some species are with other more aggressive species. I witnessed a few dead fish being chased and eaten by other fish, and was even more horrified when I looked in the fancy goldfish tank. I witnessed a large, beautiful fancy being eaten alive by a bunch of koi fish. They'd chase him around, taking chunks out of his scales and fins and wen. He looked absolutely miserable, with injuries all over his body. I told an employee, and they only moved him into another goldfish tank, where the others continued to nip at him. He needs help, not torture. You'd think a 40$ fish would be more taken care of. Nope. I would have offered to take him home to my own tank, but I doubt they would have allowed me to. I haven't been out in a store in quite sometime, so a good experience is great!! Social distancing was encouraged with masks. A fantastic employee, Bree, was extremely helpful in assisting us with our needs. We found the products we needs and a few Halloween treats. I think the staff was great. On the bad not a very rude customer didn't want to obey the Covid restrictions. The staff stayed professional thru the mean woman's entitled attitude. Don't go here to buy fish. I was in today to acquire some fish for my two fish tanks I got for Christmas, and was I disappointed. Firstly, half the tanks were completely empty. They were showcasing rocks and decorations with algae flowing off them Second, the tanks that had fish, half the fish were laying on the bottom, presumably dead. No actually confirmed dead. Fish don't lay on the bottom dead still when they are sleeping. Third, all the employees are not happy. No one says hello as you walk past. I stood there looking at the fish for 10 minutes trying to figure out if I should buy them or not, and not a single employee approached me. Even though I was the only one in the fish area and there were 3 employees in the proximity. This is a management issue. Make your employees feel appreciated and it will trickle down to us customers. It just will. For a multimillion dollar corporation to have a pathetic fish selection, with half the fish dead that they do have is absurd. Stop paying the CEO 10million$ a year and invest some money into fish filtration system so disease isn't running rampant in your fish tanks. I recommend blue reef aquatics in North Las Vegas on losee road. That's where I'll be going to get my fish. Was in there 3 days ago and their aquariums are crystal clean with not a dead fish, and the girl was happy to conversant and recommend potential fish. read more

WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. I had an incredibly disappointing encounter with PetSmart Grooming Services regarding a scheduled appointment for my pet. After completing a pre-check-in, I expected a smooth process upon arrival. However, to my dismay, I was rejected without prior notice, wasting my time and causing unnecessary stress for us and my pet. Why not stop me from going to the store on the first place if you see a flag on the pre-check-in??? You had the time to call me for a reminder to book an appointment so what stopped you calling me to tell me that I shouldn't come in because you can't accommodate????? And associates taking it lightly just casually asking to reschedule. Bunch of money grabs. No consideration of time, to have me clear our schedule, to drive to the store, to book an appointment and everything. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. PetSmart's flawed appointment system and lack of communication are unacceptable. Booking appointments should be hassle-free, and customers should be promptly informed if accommodations cannot be made. This experience has seriously made me reconsider relying on PetSmart for my pet's needs in the future. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. But oh well, PetSmart is a huge company and I doubt if they even read stuff like this. read more

I took my dog in yesterday to get groomed. They called me 30 min later to tell me they can't continue the groom as her ears were to matted and they were bleeding. She said my dog would have to be seen by a vet. I told them I would have to pick her up in an hour and a half as I was out and they said I had to come get her ASAP as she was taking up a cage. I have attached a picture of her ear. This is the only thing I can find on my dog. Not something to stop a groom over in my opinion! read more

I had an appointment at the grooming salon at 2:30pm today and the technician refused to take my dog because she accused my dog of being aggressive, she blatantly lied in front of me that my dog attempted to bite her and said she was bleeding. COMPLETE LIE! She was apprehensive about handling my dog from the moment she saw her. When a manager was called named Jaqui matters got a lot worst. This inept so-called manager "diagnosed" my dog with anxiety and while they were not present, completely was accusatory and while I was upset about how I was treated, the manager then "diagnosed" me as being irate and said they would never provide service to my dogs! When I asked for the manager's name and asked if the person was male or female so o can describe them in my complaint, he/she said : " NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS! GET THE HELL OUT OF MY STORE!" If these are the type of employees you hire, I have no interest in ever shopping at your stores! Employees accusing customers, lying and kicking customers out of the stores! Great location for the occasional deal on pet supplies. We have a few cats and are constantly looking for good deals on food, toys, litter, etc. PetSmart usually has a good deal on the kinds of litter (wheat based) we used every month or so, so we'll pop in when we are out running errands. On this visit, we had an issue with the cash register not ringing up the appropriate sale price, but the manager was quick to remedy the problem without us even asking for a manager. Overall, this is a great location. It is a big store and has a lot of products to choose from. read more

I was in the northwest and I saw this PetSmart tucked in the corner near the freeway. After breakfast, I drove over to get the things I needed. I was asked if I needed help with anyhting a couple of times. The store was stocked well. It was very quiet and checkout was fast. However, if you're looking to get your pup groomed, DO NOT go to PetSmart... i dropped off my dog for his appointment at 1pm on a friday and was told 2-3 hours. COOL. i go run my errands, shop, wash my car, 4.5 hours later i don't hear a single thing from them. i call them and the girl on the phone says "oh he's done but we've been so busy so we forgot to call" ... my dog was already overstimulated with the noises and new experience (he's 6 months old) and they don't even bother to send me the pickup up email until i CALL THEM. i understand it can get crazy busy, but as a worried dog owner, i appreciate some clear communication, especially when i walk in and see TWO receptionists on the phone...once i picked him up, i see that he's FULL of dandruff, no bandana/bow as promised (which i paid for) and a bleeding toe nail... i can't say i'm surprised... it's petsmart grooming. but for anyone looking to get their new baby groomed do NOT go to petsmart for it. read more

Recently one of my dogs has been placed on a prescription diet. The vet carries it but sometimes it's easier to go to a PetSmart just based on location. This store is not adequately stocked and the staff doesn't seem to know what is going on.Their leash selection is even poor. Perhaps I hit it on a day prior to a delivery. I have a Siberian Forest Cat and a Bearded Dragon. I typically come here for the royal canin brand and worms for my Beardie. This location is kept clean and well stocked. Theres a lot of options for exoctic animals and cats. They also have open adoptions for cats and dogs over the weekend often. There is a groom option in the back. I have never tried it though. The parking is spacious. I come here often to get fresh mealworms and crickets for my beardie. Im giving this location 4 out of 5 stars because literally almost every time I come to this location they never have live hornworms. read more

These girls over book and have TOO MANY dogs in one day, and does not want to take the time to pamper your dog!!! It is FREEZING outside right now and because they are too lazy to spend the time brushing out a few mats, they would rather BUTCHER your doodle!!! I think these groomers HATE Goldendoodles, because of the work that needs to be done. I will FIND a groomer SOMEWHERE that takes care of Goldendoodles and will spend the time brushing them out. Jada is literally an amazing addition to this location. Her and Sierra literally did the pets such a service by properly informing customer's if the pros and cons of each pet. Maintenance was so properly explained i feel like i was able to picture my tasks in a realistic way. This is how all humans should sell animals. So many animals are left to die due to the owners not having the proper pros and cons of their care! I comment these two and thank Sierra. This store on Durango and the 215 is where I shop and groom my dogs. I am always very happy and pleased with the service. I recommend the grooming Department. I've been a customer for years and I love the treatment my dogs get and myself too! My dogs always look great after their groom and the prices are very competitive. I've always been treated with respect and everyone there is helpful. It's a great store. Jackie is the Manager and she is excellent! She is knowledgeable in every area, helpful and kind.
