Chicken Parmesan slice and mushroom slice
    Amber E.

Stopped in on the way to the train station for a couple slices - they all looked so good, but my friend had mushroom, and I had the chicken Parmesan. Nice crust; pretty good sauce. Hit the spot!

You can keep Jonny, I'll take the Ds

Give me all the best slices, please With greasy pep and gooey cheese My tummy's a chasm And I often orgasm From pizza made by Jonny D's By most standards anywhere in the country, this would be pretty awesome pizza, probably the best in any given town, but in terms of New York City Pizza and Long Island Pizza it's good - but it's not the best. A tiny bit on the sweet side. I still really enjoyed it and it was hot and delicious - and especially the Sicilian slice was marvelous as you can see from the picture. It wouldn't go on my top 20 list New York City or anything, but I would definitely come back here in future, and the reason why it gets upgraded from four to five stars is because of wonderful service - especially the one dude who was one of the friendliest guys I met on the whole of Long Island. And while I was here, I put the Ds in Jonny Ds, but then I do that a lot.

    two slices of pizza

Ordered two pies last night for workers at our house. One couldn't eat cheese so we "tried" to order a marguerita pie and asked the girl to cut back on the cheese. She asssured us that there WAS cheese on the pie. Again, just make it a little less cheese please. Well this is what we got! The crust was like eating wet cardboard. They brushed the sauce on so sparingly, it hardly tinted the crust; you couldn't even taste any sauce. And the cheese! Geez, did she not understand our request? Unless she thought that putting a non-dairy fake cheese would satisfy our request, because for those of us who are okay with eating cheese, this did not taste like normal cheese! And with two small bottle of Coke and one small meatball hero, it all came to $75!!!! Never again Johnny's.

Garlic Knots: very good garlic flavor!

Was in the area, passed this place and doubled back to try my favorite pizza fare. They only had one of them at the time. Tale of the tape: Garlic Knots Medium sized, light texture with a good accompanying chew. Good, if not very good garlic flavor, would buy again!

    Upside down Sicilian Pie

Just moved to Huntington and was looking for Pizza. Saw Jonny D's and the great reviews and decided to give it a try. I ordered a Sicilian pizza and large green salad. The salad was huge and delicious. The pizza I asked for it "upside down" as that's how I've enjoyed Sicilian in the past. They didn't have an upside down pie on the menu but made it that way for me anyways and it was great, highly appreciated the flexibility! I will surely be ordering from here again and again!

Johnny D's pizza has been at this location for 15 years. It's right at the fork in the road where Huntington Station becomes Huntington. I've been here many times but I hadn't been back since the renovation. It's all on one level now; chairs and tables are spaced appropriately and you can see that the kitchen area is clean and efficient. You could stop in for pizza or pick up an order but mostly I go for pizza. The pizza is delicious - it's very cheesy and very saucy and that's exactly how I like it. Jonny D's is a neighbourhood favourite and very much a part of this community. I love the fact that you can see pictures on the wall from a 100 years back honouring the history of this town. I've had pasta (baked ziti) and salads from here in In the past. The food is great and it's very convenient to get to, at the intersection of New York Avenue and Nassau Road.

If you want to pay $70 for one app and two small dry pies with minimal cheese/toppings and tough mediocre crust this is your place I guess. That being said, it's still pizza so it was fine. Go to Rosas instead and significantly better and cheaper pies with high quality ingredients, but if you must have an "artissinal" pie, head over to Ella's. Still not worth it but much better.

Dead Chef's Tasting Menu at At 1654 Pizza Company - A Gold Coast Supper Club Experience Last night on Long Island's Gold Coast, I had the pleasure of experiencing something truly special: Dead Chef's tasting menu at At 1654 Pizza Company in Huntington. What unfolded wasn't just a dinner, but a full-on culinary performance that transformed the idea of a neighborhood pizza spot into a hidden gem supper club. The evening unfolded course after course, each dish layered with creativity, bold flavors, and a touch of surprise. From refined takes on comfort food to plates that made you pause and savor every detail, it was clear that this wasn't a typical night out--it was a carefully curated journey meant to linger in memory. The atmosphere matched the menu: intimate, buzzing with energy, and elevated by a sense of discovery. Every dish felt like a conversation, and the storytelling behind the flavors was as captivating as the food itself. Outstanding is the only word that fits--yet still feels like an understatement. This wasn't just a meal; it was an experience that makes you excited for what's next.

Although I live in LA (retired screenwriter), I know LA is not the top city for pizza, but I am originally from New York, and I believe New York is in that top slot, and I feel that Junior's Pizza, on New York Ave in Huntington is about as good as pizza gets-- anywhere. I used to drive 75 miles from Manhattan with my friends to Trenton, NJ to eat pizza at DeLorenzo's which was our #1 spot for years. When it closed, Junior's in Huntington became our #1 spot. This is a simple, warm place with an owner who knows how to bake a pie. He has studied his craft, and has perfected it. I don't get to NY too often, but when I do, eating Anthony's 'Grandma' pie at Junior's makes the trip worth it. No place like it.

Because of inflation some of the Village's pizza parlors are no longer using SEMOLINA flour. Also something to think about.
