Ran out to Huntington to check out a local shopping market and ended up passing by Jonny D's Pizza on the way. Decided to pull in and grab a Sicilian slice on a whim--and man, am I glad I did! The Sicilian slice was huge, super delicious, and cooked to absolute perfection. High quality, great flavor, and that ideal balance of a crispy bottom with a thick, airy crust. Walking inside, I was blown away by their display counter. They have so many amazing specialty options and different styles available that it was hard to choose just one. The staff was quick, friendly, and the whole place has a great neighborhood vibe. Spontaneous pizza stops don't get much better than this. I'm definitely going back for more soon to try out the rest of their menu. Highly recommend stopping in if you're anywhere near New York Ave! read more

Johnny D's is a neighborhood pizzeria in Huntington very clean pizzeria with a lot of parking. I met Jared behind the counter. He was a sweet and nice gentleman. He told me about the pay forward program which is you can buy a pizza and a drink for someone who can't afford it for $6.50 I thought this was amazing. Got some pies delivered. Solid pizzeria in Huntington. Tried a few pies and garlic knots. Toppings were generous and the cheese was not too heavy. One of my favorite pizza spots in all of Huntington. I had a regular slice and a grandma slice today and they were both delicious and pipping hot. Jonny D's is always very clean, and the music is nice. Everyone smiles when you enter as well, that's always a good sign. The photos are of old Huntington from back in the day. A tiny bit on the sweet side. I still really enjoyed it and it was hot and delicious - and especially the Sicilian slice was marvelous as you can see from the picture. It wouldn't go on my top 20 list New York City or anything, but I would definitely come back here in future, and the reason why it gets upgraded from four to five stars is because of wonderful service - especially the one dude who was one of the friendliest guys I met on the whole of Long Island. Ordered two pies last night for workers at our house. One couldn't eat cheese so we "tried" to order a marguerita pie and asked the girl to cut back on the cheese. She asssured us that there WAS cheese on the pie. Again, just make it a little less cheese please. Well this is what we got! The crust was like eating wet cardboard. They brushed the sauce on so sparingly, it hardly tinted the crust; you couldn't even taste any sauce. And the cheese! Geez, did she not understand our request? Unless she thought that putting a non-dairy fake cheese would satisfy our request, because for those of us who are okay with eating cheese, this did not taste like normal cheese! And with two small bottle of Coke and one small meatball hero, it all came to $75!!!! Never again Johnny's. read more

Just moved to Huntington and was looking for Pizza. Saw Jonny D's and the great reviews and decided to give it a try. I ordered a Sicilian pizza and large green salad. The salad was huge and delicious. The pizza I asked for it "upside down" as that's how I've enjoyed Sicilian in the past. They didn't have an upside down pie on the menu but made it that way for me anyways and it was great, highly appreciated the flexibility! We are still contending with the pandemic, so safety is of primary concern. Jonny D's is not offered on the third party delivery app we use, so we tried to get delivery direct from the pizzeria. The $2.49 delivery fee was fine, but unfortunately, they wouldn't deliver to my home. We opted for pickup. The menu has a great variety of pizzas, pastas, salads and specialties. We ordered a tossed salad with marinated grilled chicken, a chicken roll and a baked ziti slice. We were told to arrive in twenty minutes for pickup. When we got there, the food was being packed up. It appeared that they were filling a lot of take out orders, and the phone was ringing consistently. They definitely are taking proper precautions during the pandemic. Everyone was wearing masks, social distancing and thoroughly washing their hands. The employees were very friendly and polite. They were extremely helpful. Upon arriving at home, the food was still hot and very fresh. The best parts of the meal were the marinated grilled chicken and the baked ziti slice. The chicken was delicious and nicely seasoned. The ziti slice was nice and thick, but not too thick. It was heated through perfectly. The cheese was melted well and the sauce was tasty. Very good food. Jonny D's pizza is a great place to grab a quick meal, with efficient service and high quality delicious food. Definitely check them out. We will definitely be back! read more

Johnny D's pizza has been at this location for 15 years. It's right at the fork in the road where Huntington Station becomes Huntington. I've been here many times but I hadn't been back since the renovation. It's all on one level now; chairs and tables are spaced appropriately and you can see that the kitchen area is clean and efficient. You could stop in for pizza or pick up an order but mostly I go for pizza. The pizza is delicious - it's very cheesy and very saucy and that's exactly how I like it. Jonny D's is a neighbourhood favourite and very much a part of this community. I love the fact that you can see pictures on the wall from a 100 years back honouring the history of this town. I've had pasta (baked ziti) and salads from here in In the past. The food is great and it's very convenient to get to, at the intersection of New York Avenue and Nassau Road. read more

The interior looks great after their renovation!! The plain pizza is delicious. I know that sounds crazy but I come here for the plain slices. The sauce is so delicious and there's a crunch to the crust that is just *chef's kiss* great. Everything else is great too - the wings, the specialty slices, the knots. I've been here a few times and it's always a great experience. The wait is never too long and the food is always delicious. We especially love the honey bbq jumbo wings. They are the best wings we've had! The sauce is incredible and the wings are crispy but not dry. The staff is also very friendly and joke around with their customers. Since I moved to the area, this has been my local pizza place. Honestly, I can't complain. It's very good pizza and the people are fantastic. My boss told me how good the cheese steak was, so I drove from Central Islip to Johnny D's. Everything was fresh, the cheese steak was amazing.!!! The bread was soft and the cheese was melted and the meat was seasoned to perfection. It was so good I even called back to the restaurant to tell the guy how Amazing it was!. I came to Johnny D's for a for a quick lunch! The service was fast and respectable. As I amtrying to lean on the healthier side of life, I ordered a large Caesar Salad. I must say it was delicious. I did not dine-in and there were options, including a side room. During my short journey back to the office the chicken remained warm and well seasoned. I was happy a smart person elected to but the warm chicken on the side and not on top of the salad. Fresh Italian bread accompanied the salad. This meal did not disappoint. Came home to Long Island and of course the first thing we need to get us some good pizza. Ordered and meatball pie and some cannolis. They definitely did not disappoint. The pizza was great. Nice big pie. Thin crust. We got it well done. Had a great flaky crust. When we gave my 6 year old a slice was said wow this is so big. Also ordered a salad. I really like that they put a great amount of dressing on it. I would like to find out what the dressing was because it was so good. The cannolis were made to order. Just got a chicken parm hero..I don't even know what to say. The sauce is really dark and hits you with a disgusting sour flavor, then turns to bitter. You can smell that something is off. I don't know if they're burning the garlic or what else it can be, but it's completely unpalatable. At a whopping $16.50 for a chicken parm hero, yes you read that correctly, I will never order from here again. Damn Extra star because the bread was crispy haha read more

Ugh. Ordered a pie recently, they completely f'd up the order. So ordered again tonight, my wife made them read the order back TWICE hoping to get it right. Waited two hours for delivery, willing to give them a pass on that if they're busy, but it was EXACTLY what she told them not to do. Hey JonnyDs, sauteed onions and pepperoni and sausage onion and pepperoni aren't the same thing. And the sausage was AWFUL. Might be the only time in decades I've thrown out the leftover slices rather than save them. And the salad was ok, but not sure the last time I saw a tomato so unripe that it was actually white on the inside. You'd think $42 for a pizza and a salad would get a decent meal. For years this building was an automotive repair shop. Now it's one of the better pizzerias in the Huntington Station area. In a weird spot next to the O'Connell funeral home, and not in what I would consider the greatest area ever, Jonny D's makes a really good, consistently solid slice of pizza. I'm probably starting to sound like a broken record, but the crust is perfect. The right thickness, perfectly cooked all the way through, and the cheese and sauce are just the right mix. The sauce is flavorful without being overbearing. The service behind the counter is attentive and friendly. Everybody seems to enjoy what they're doing which makes me enjoy coming in for my usual slices. Absolutely recommended. read more

I really enjoy this place as a 'go-to' for that solid delivery pizza. I would not compare it to the Naples Street Foods or Severino's in terms of artisan pizzas, but if you want a solid pie delivered with good sauce, a great crust and the right amount of cheese, Jonny D's is your choice. The staff is great from the guy who takes your order to the deliver guy, and they are always on time with a fresh hot pie. other menu items I would suggest is the grilled chicken hero, a slice of the chicken bacon ranch (even delivered, this tastes amazing) and their fried calamari. This place has a spot in my rotation because it is always CONSISTENT. So many pizza places (like umbertos) have pizza that change by the day in terms of quality, but Jonny D's pie is always the same good taste, level of doneness and crispy dough. Its not the best pizza I have ever eaten, but its my go to for pizza night at home. read more

Their house salad with their homemade dressing is outstanding and their Cesar salad is tasty as well. Pizza is always fresh and never sits out for more than a hour or so. One of the best fresh pizza places I've ever been to. Been coming here three days in a row because the pizza are so good. I also hope and pray that some day, this becomes a franchise and sets up camp in Los Angeles. Best pizza for the price given.
