Food was good, but service is ROUGH. I understand they are busy, but it took a long time to get our food. Even so, we had to ask several different people for napkins and more salsa. We gave our server our credit card almost fifteen minutes ago. Our server has taken orders at two other tables, exchanged a soda at another, and come back with chips and salsa twice. If he didn't have my credit card, we would have walked out a long time ago. read more

Wow! Just passing through town on vacation and luck sent us to this gem! Plenty of seating, yet still cozy. Everything was excellent, from the chips and salsa to my wife's flauta and my chimichanga. The service was also top notch. We even joked with our server that we'd like them to open another restaurant nearer to Omaha. Bless this place. I've been searching for a Mexican restaurant since I moved here that stands up to par with the restaurant I'm in love with in my old town. this one is just about as good as I could get, it's still not the same but it's still amazing! Friendly and fast service and the food was so good!! I ordered some kind of chicken and shrimp combo with a side of queso and I was in heaven. the only complaint was that the table was a little small to hold all of the food! Was dining with my brother an d sister-in-law when the following happened. Would not recommend this location. So bad experience at José Locos on Glenstone tonight. Normally we have great meals there, but tonight they messed up two of our orders and didn't include scallops as stated on the menu. The server then stated she had to take the plates back to the kitchen to prove there were no scallops. I'm thinking, that's a crock! Then we asked for them to discount our meal due to the mess up and the server stated she couldn't do that. The manager came out only after my husband asked for him and then took my husband's plate and left. My husband asked the server again for a discount since they messed up two orders. She said she couldn't do that so my husband asked to speak to the manager at the front because he didn't want to upset any of the other diners. He got to the front and the manager told my husband he copped an attitude with him and wouldn't give a discount. Suffice it to say, we only paid for 2 of the 4 meals we ordered and will never go back again. Very disappointed as we loved that place! read more

Menus!? Yes...we would like the one thing in your restaurant that tells us what we can order. All four of us ordered. And our waiter got all four orders wrong. This is not a point of exaggeration. Every single order was wrong. The service was TERRIBLE with a capital T - E - R - R - I - B - L- E. If you enjoy lackluster dog food that has been prepared by the cast of HBO's OZ, this place is for you. With the overwhelming plethora of Mexican food choices it is nice to find one that stands high above the rest. Tonight was the first time that I have eaten at Jose Locos and it was amazing. Both the service and food were excellent. The waitress was very accommodating and even with a rush we never felt neglected. Just went to the location on Battlefield and it was TERRIBLE! Gave this one a try because the other location was excellent. First off we thought there would be taco Tuesday, ordered kids enchiladas with no sauce and they were covered in it, I asked for a beef and bean burrito with my cheese enchilada and received plain beef with a cold enchilada, my husbands chicken looked like canned meat (hopefully he doesn't get sick) and to top it off our server couldn't figure out how to give us a receipt for our food! LIGHTNING fast service every time we go there. The staff really hustles. The chips are decent, but the only salsa offered is mild and you have to spice it up with nasty bottles from the table. The chairs need to be cleaned, but otherwise a great lunch place. Very affordable for lunch. read more

I had dinner here on a Tuesday night, which is Taco Tuesday and tacos are apparently a dollar because hey were serving a bunch of them. I didn't feel like tacos so I ordered a dinner with two enchiladas and beans and rice. I had a choice of chicken or beef so I told the server I would like one of each. Sounded reasonable to me but it showed up with chicken and beef mixed up in both enchiladas, which I thought was totally weird. It tasted fine but it really wasn't my preference. The chips were very good, the salsa nothing special. The dab of guacamole was nearly tasteless but I'm not a big fan of it anyway. The meal was reasonable in price and tasted ok, just nothing special. read more

This USED to be our favorite place - the food IS good and the margaritas are awesome...BUT...after they got popular they seem to be taking their customers for granted. The service is simply horrible. Last time we finished a full basket of chips n salsa before we got our drinks and had to ask for silverware to eat with after our food had arrived. Before that we were waiting in line and decided to sit at the bar and have a margarita while we waited. When we were called and sat at our table, no server came to help us. MANY walked by us but nobody spoke to us or helped us until we stopped one and asked it they would please take our order. At this rate I feel their business will go down hill. read more

My friend got her food 20 minutes before makenna and I did. Then had to chase down waitress for her to even notice. Waited another 10 minutes. Told waitress we were leaving. She replies well you've got to pay for this stuff meaning my friends food and our drinks. Got the manager and she just kept saying few more minutes. This used to be my favorite place to eat lunch and grab a beer, heck I would even be the one suggesting to a group of 6 that we go eat there.... but all good things come to an end. I've eaten there so many times, they know my order. but... The service is getting worse each time we go now. No Drink Refills, they keep getting our orders wrong, now they are overcharging for side items. Ordered a side dish of Grilled Onions and Green Peppers ( usually $1.50 ) Only this last time I was shocked with a $4.75 price for the side plate. An entire Fajita meal is $6.99, yet they want $5 for .75 cents of veggies??? I'm taking my business and crew elsewhere. read more

I had dinner here with a group of friends on July 20, 2014. Since there were nine of us, we were seated at a large table in a separate room which normally is great for us. However, the music was so loud we could not hear anyone but the person sitting next to us. We asked twice for the music to be turned down. It was finally turned down after we got our food. Our waitress was neither friendly nor helpful and could not answer basic questions about the menu. One person at our table received the wrong drink, margarita tasted like it wasn't mixed properly, and the food had a lot left to be desired. I ordered chicken fajitas. The chicken was gristly and bland and my tortillas were falling apart. We had to ask several times for drink and chip refills. It then took our waitress at least 20 minutes to bring our checks out. A few of us were sick today after eating there, which could be unrelated, but it is very coincidental. Both the cheese dip and guacamole were pretty decent and I'm happy the food wasn't overpriced. However, I will not be going back and I absolutely would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Went there based of reviews here on Yelp. All I can say is WOW. This place was the worst Mexican we have ever had. Go to Mexican Villa, hell even Taco Bell. Started with the cheese dip, the most bland powdered mix we have ever had. Food came out within 5 minutes of ordering, no way it can be cooked fresh in that amount of time. The beef was sooooo salty. In the taco, burrito salty salty salty. And I won't even insult McCormicks seasonong by saying they use them as their Mexican seasoning. The refried beens were out of a can, EWWWW. The rice tasted like a boxed rice you know the ones you get and add water and stick in the microwave. There is nothing authentic about this Mexican place at all. This Gringo can do better Mexican than Jose Locos. read more

I have to give this rest. 5 stars as it was great!! Service was great , we had a darling funny ( take good care of us waitress) and for $1.00 Tacos and $1.50 beers. One couldn't ask for more.
