Less than 3 weeks ago, my sweet husband insisted on us trying this Jose Tequilas place on little creek road in Norfolk virginia via Grubhub and I willingly agreed because my husband also paid for the meal. The food items ordered include: Carne Asada street tacos, queso fundido, chimichangas and the Jose Tequilas happy sampler which includes wings quesadillas taquitos elotes. The pros: the food was delivered in a timely manner by the driver and the order included a generous amount of food. However, both my husband and I agreed that the food was just ok the queso could have had more seasonings and been made thicker some of the stuff I chose to eat from the happy sampler tasted different from what I expected however the carne asada tacos were at least palpable/edible (my husband had the chimichangas). read more

Saw this place on Little Creek a few times and decided to give it a try. The neat exterior is what drew me into the place initially. I went on the weekend with my fiance and it was pretty empty. They have a very extensive menu and good lunch combos. The staff was friendly as well. I ended up getting the fajita quesadilla which was a little small but packed. The quality of food was better than the typical Plaza Azteca or other mexican restaurant. I ended up getting a regular margarita as well and the drinks is what makes this restaurant a little pricey. For a generic margarita, it cost $9 and when it arrived it was in a disappointingly small size. Overall I had an ok experience. I found the random shrimp in my meal to be concerning; I don't have a shellfish allergy but it was covered in so much sauce that I thought it was chicken at first. I have been here twice and wonder why not many people go here! The food was very good both times and never disappoints. I love how their cups for drinks are extra large mugs and oh so cheap! I was excited to see the southwestern enchiladas on the menu when it said it was New Mexican style enchiladas served with and egg and green Chile sauce. The egg was cooked over well and there was no green chile but was smothered in what seemed to be a very mild red chili paste with no spice what so ever. They captured the idea but didn't execute it. When this dish is served in NM the egg is over easy and we pride ourselves with roasted green with the New Mexican cuisine. However the service and salsa chips are excellent.
