Do Not order anything from this establishment! They can over cook your food and prepare it anyway they want, however if the food is edible that is your problem not theirs! I ordered shrimp Fra Diablo yes. The shrimp were overcooked & the sauce was so hot no one in my family could eat it. I didn't ask for a refund. I would have just liked a replacement. I order from Joseph's Pizzeria and have never been disappointed. The food is amazing for a local pizzeria in Hackensack NJ. We order the Salmon w rice and vegetables which is so delicious. I absolutely love the pasta Fra Deovilo w shrimp. The grated cheeks is delicious. My Son always orders a Cheese Steak Sandwich with just Cheese and Steak. You will not be disappointed with anything that you order , because you can feel the Love in every single dish that the Chef Cooks. While the pizza itself is pretty good, the customer service is horrible. I go through the same drama each time I call no matter what day or time of day it is. It's as if the woman on the phone hates taking orders & grimaces when the order is being made. The pizza itself is pretty great & once you can get over the person on the phone explaining to you that you'll be waiting an eternity for pizza to be delivered, you're good to go. Good cheese and sauce but the crust is chewy-not Cali chewy but chewy nonetheless. When it comes to pizza mechanics, a chewy crust isn't the worst thing to have. If the cheese is of poor quality or not used enough or if the sauce is too salty or virtually nonexistent, then a chewy crust is the least of your worries. You can always ask for the slice to be cooked well done. But I hold guys behind the counter to a standard. They should know how good pizza should be served. They should know that a good crust is the icing on the cake. 2 extra minutes in the oven goes a long way in terms of unlocking hidden flavors. The menu at Joseph's isn't written out on a board. Instead, they follow a format that you'd see at most takeout Chinese places; they have pictures of their food. While this may seem like a good idea, it severely limits the size of your menu. I walked in a few minutes after they had opened, so none of the tables were set up and only plain slices were available. Love this place! best food and honestly the guys and girls are so sweet! They sometimes get rude when its busy but who wouldn't, the only downfall is one skinny girl gets rude. I asked how much longer for my order because I was going to come back and she says rudely "you just have to wait!" and then huffs and puffs. Definitely did not expect to be answered like that but then the other girl kindly told me "your order will be done in 10 mins, sorry about that". I've been going there for years. They made a good chicken parmesan sandwich at a reasonable price. There is one short nasty young girl cashier who has a really bad attitude and should not be working retail. She seems like she's annoyed at the world, every time I have gone in there she short changes me and cannot add! She gives me the change and it's always totally wrong and tries to pocket extra money for herself. Ruins the whole experience. Will not go back! Gave up on this joint! Ordered a side salad with small amount of dressing that didn't even moisten the salad. Ask for a little more and she tells you that it's $0.50 extra . What a joke! Far from professional and the attitude just turns you off! Another Young skinny girl when she's working she's very sweet. Good luck if you go in there and you get the nasty one. The rude person answering said "it left a WHILE ago" I said great I'll just go back to waiting. I then called at 6:30 saying I wanted to cancel I mean come on nearly 2 hours for a large pie and wings!!?? And she said "just wait until he gets back so I can find out what happened" I said NO I have a child waiting for dinner, I want to cancel!" I either order pick up or delivery but tonight I called to order take out, a female answered talking too someone else never told me to hold on or anything. Not enough reviews for this place so I figured I would add one. I LOVE pizza. Pizza is life. Their pizza is amazing despite what one of the other reviewers claimed. I've been ordering pizza from a different pizzeria my whole life. A couple years ago, my brother introduced me to Joseph's and it only took one taste to make this my main pizzeria!!! what a great find! their slices are huge and the price is on point. a medium pie here is like a large pie elsewhere but doesnt costs as nearly as much. so many toppings to choose from. they also have a lot of other entrees i have yet to try, but i will definitely be coming back more often. read more
