Been living at the Josephine since Jan 2024 and I have to say the staff is always friendly, prompt ready to do their best to accommodate my needs and concerns. I want to highlight George in particular, who (to this day!) has always been upbeat, positive and a great part of the top shelf concierge support team ever since I've been living here. The maintenance team is equally amazing and thoroughly professional. Their daily care of the building is so consistent and reliable you can set your watch to it. Never had a complaint with their response to an issue here. The Josephine is truly a dog friendly building and pet owners will feel at home knowing this building fully welcomes the little furry fiends. There are also regular activities and events for the building community to have a chance to partake in like weekly yoga, and general holiday events like Valentine's Day, St, Patricks, etc. You can actually feel the care the entire building staff has for the Josephine. They'll take care of things here so that you can focus on your day to day life. read more

He paid attention to my requests in terms of unit size and views. Just when I was ready to apply for the second unit he showed me, he informed me that he had another unit that would better meet all of my requirements. The whole team at Josephine DTLA deserves a lot of credit. Everyone has been welcoming, professional, responsive, and ready to help with whatever is needed. There is a clear level of care here, and it shows, from the immediate response when calling to schedule an appointment, to discussing what needs to be completed to close the lease. The building is kept impeccable, the common areas are consistently clean, and the amenities (pool, workout room, rooftop, etc.) are always in top-notch condition. It is obvious that the entire staff takes real pride in the property. Fernando especially has been nothing short of exceptional. He was outstanding throughout the leasing process and has continued to be just as helpful after the lease was signed, which I did not have through any of my other tours. He is diligent, timely, knowledgeable, and incredibly reliable. He follows through, stays on top of things, and makes you feel supported the entire way through, not just when you are signing paperwork. That kind of consistency matters, and Fernando absolutely deserves his flowers for it. I've never experienced such a warm welcome to an apartment, and with so much ease of literally everything. Fernando let me know to jump on a floor plan he knew would be perfect for me and helped me get everything set up for my move back to LA. Everyone in the building has been so incredibly nice, including the tenants. Yesterday, I had a few large pieces of furniture delivered and the front desk and both Brandon and Fernando helped load things onto the cart, Fernando even helped get my bed up to my unit which was so insane and kind. Great experience! I was searching for the right place to call home and called The Josephine for a last minute tour. Ja'Corie told me he had a 10:30 appointment already scheduled but if I could make it in by 10AM, he could show me around. The tour was great and he was extreamly knowledgeable about the building and the area. He answered all of my questions and the follow up details he provided was much better compared to any of the other communities I toured. I applied for an apartment and was approved the same day! Ja'Corie spent time answering my various questions over the week leading up to my move in date and provided follow up on each item I inquired about. The process was very smooth from start to finish and I love my new place! Had it not been for Ja'Corie, I would have chosen another place to call home. The view I have makes everything fall right in place. I've also met Paul, Kyle and George on the day of move in and they were all great people and welcomed me as I got settled in. There's a noticeable amount of gossip and personal commentary among staff that doesn't belong in a professional setting, and it creates an uneasy atmosphere for people who just want courtesy and basic respect in the common areas. Management should be more attentive to how staff interact with tenants and represent the building. They should coach employees on professional conduct, rules of engagement, and discrimination awareness to ensure all residents are treated respectfully. I'm choosing to stay anonymous because the environment already feels uncomfortable, and I don't feel safe identifying myself. Visited several apartments in DTLA, most claiming to be luxury apartments. We were underwhelmed with most until we visited Josephine DTLA. The space is great, amenities are perfect, location is wonderful, the staff is amazing and the process are fair. They really care and take pride in keeping everything clean and safe, the parking is as secure as you get in this area, and the neighbors are kind as well. We had the pleasure of meeting with Aaron and I could not be more pleased with such a helpful, welcoming young man! He was informative and made the process go smoothly. While Aaron was off, JaCorie stepped right in and help see us through with a tight timeline. Although my husband and I ended up not choosing to move in to Josephine, we had a great experience touring. We mainly decided that the floor plan with the pseudo wall for one bedroom wasn't our favorite, but the prices per square foot were very reasonable! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! Aside from the stunning building with great views and beautiful amenities, the standout feature is THE STAFF. From the start, Kaya and Jacorie at the leasing office went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Moving in from out of state, we couldn't tour in person, but they made us feel comfortable and safe, answering all our questions about LA. Upon arrival, we found the place not only amazing but also impeccably clean, with staff cleaning throughout the day. The front desk team is incredibly helpful, even opening doors for us. This building feels like home and fosters a friendly community where everyone you meet in the elevator is kind and happy to live here. We're so grateful for their help and enjoy every day living here. Also, Ralphs, Target, and Whole Foods are just a block away. 07/29/2025 on 9th and Hope street about 20 yards from the front entrance of The Josephine DTLA @ around 8:15 pm,i went into the lobby and ask a young lady working there as a con·cierge to please call i am having trouble breathing and she did,this being my first and hopefully my last time"Experiencing this"to my lack of knowlegde i was having a heart attack after maybe about 5 minutes of time passing ,i asked her if she would again call and she did.Then she informed me at that time they said there on there way.They did arrive minutes after and told me i was having a heart attack, i went in to surgery with a100% blocked RIght Coronary Artery (RCA) in surgery a stent was placed for blood flow,after three days i was release and a short time later i went l back to the Josephine DTLA to thank her for being kind as well professional,also being a part on that day with saving my life again thank you. My partner and I are moving out of this building after 2 years, and I wanted to leave a review before doing so. Our experience at Josephine has been absolutely wonderful, the only reason we are leaving has nothing to do with the building - we're just moving to a quieter part of DTLA. We are a little sad to be leaving, because after 2 years we have a great relationship with the staff - from management (Julie is amazing and has taken the best care of our needs) and the leasing team, to the front desk and maintenance - to our lovely neighbors. The building is well maintained and I cannot say enough about the units. Modern, with high ceilings and big windows overlooking the city, but by far the best feature is the storage. I was sold the moment I saw the huge walk-in closet in our unit! Management plans resident-only events fairly often; they are always themed and catered, and a really nice way to spend time with your neighbors. There are also lots of EV charging spots to meet the growing demand. Honestly my only note has to do with the dog park on the roof. It's quite small so not much running around to be done, and it always smells. But this is definitely something that can be addressed. Overall, we've had the best experience here. The location is great, close to many walkable restaurants, coffee shops and groceries and the Alamo Drafthouse is right next door. It's a great building and I definitely recommend it. read more

Sky really impressed us with a tour of the Josephine and its amenities. She put in the work to show us apartments we liked and offered us a great deal on a unit with a good amount of square footage, gorgeous views, and a balcony. Ultimately we chose to go with a loft in the Arts District that was more our scene but it was really hard saying no to the killer view and extra space. Concierge and management team seemed nice and they don't allow airbnbs here which I thought was a plus. If you're on the fence, I definitely recommend you check it out in person. read more

I've been here 5 years at this point and thought I'd move for a change of scenery, but after an exhaustive search throughout downtown, wound up staying - overall, the layouts in most of units in this building are just so much better than a lot of the other modern high rise buildings... a non-negotiable for us was a bedroom that can fit a king bed (few of the new construction buildings have bedrooms that can actually accommodate a king bed without the bed being literally the only furniture in the room), and the closets are generous - so many other modern buildings have almost no closet space. The staff here is just-right at this time... the front desk is stable and friendly, there's security, your packages are taken care of, the leasing and management team are really great - available and easy to talk to, and the maintenance staff is really top-notch... I think the longest I've ever waited on a service request has been 2 days - when I was shopping for another place to move I read horror stories about people not being able to even find a manager in their building, or broken things taking a month or more to get fixed, or their cars being broken into or coming home to people in their parking spots... I've never experienced any of those things here. I'd definitely recommend taking a look here if you want to live downtown - on the same block as the grocery store, one block away from a CVS, Whole Foods and cinema - right in the middle of "too sterile" LA Live and "seedy" fun bars downtown, so it's really convenient to whatever you're looking for, in a safer part of downtown. read more
