I never write bad reviews, but it's finally time to do so, as this company truly deserves it. Ordered a bike, when i went to pick it up at the specialized location and specified time for a very specialized purpose where they said it would be for pickup, all they had to offer was another completely different bike model - one that was not suited for my purpose. When I asked for amends of some kind, they attempted to turn the blame on my in a twisted way, which really turned me off. When I returned from my trip I sent them an email sharing my grievances. No response. Fast forward two years. I'm now living in NYC where their HQ is. Went into the store to seek restitution. They were friendly enough in person, but what ensued was an absolute rigamarole of empty promises and quazi-sorrys that lead to no closure whatsoever. I'm honestly done dealing with them. If I could give zero stars I would. Do not waste your money on these extremely overpriced w bikes, their bike exploded in our garage causing a major fire and destroying our home and property. When we reached out via social they did not care one bit, acting like it was our fault. It's obvious from previous reviews their bikes have very dangerous issues. The most concerning part about this all was the lack of care or concern that their bikes could've caused death to a person. They responded with offering 30 percent off a new bike! Why would we want another death trap? We just wanted an apology and ideally a refund would have been nice for a bike we literally rode twice. read more

I was due for a tune-up, but had had an accident with the scooter and needed the neck and brace replaced!? They did IT ALL within an HOUR!? Other scooters I've had and needed parts had from other stores had to be shipped or the part couldn't be replaced. NOT AT JOULVERT!!!!! Joulvert is deleting negative reviews from their own site and Instagram pages. So here you are. Buy your bike for Burningman elsewhere. Once you open the bike. It is yours. Before you can test it....if you even get THAT far. This is not the place to buy a bike...ever. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Thinking the bad reviews were...just those moments that a company may have, things out of their control that they rectify....but no. #1 Every bad review other than mine, I agree with and/or experienced the same problems. 1000% #2 Website gives options that do not exist. We bought a bike 3 weeks ago that STILL shows in stock on their website, but is not, and we had to take or leave a different model. Sadly, we still proceeded and took the 2nd option. #3 We bought a fully packed model. Did not recieve all of the fully packed items. (Accessories) They sent a cable lock instead of a ulock and insulted our intelligence by claiming it was a "mini ulock"....no it's a damn cable lock...not an actual antitheft Ulock. #4 Website gave us the option to select and buy a fully assembled bike, but fully assembled is not an option unless you're local to them. They sent a lock to cover that. Fair enough...but the website remains...to the date of this review....still incorrect. #5 The bike assembly is not easy if you do not now bikes and the instruction booklet assumes you know where all the parts goes and how they install....all of that would be easier if the preliminary assembly had been completed as much as the instructions say. I'm a mechanical person and this is hot garbage instructions and setup. #6 How to videos go to generic youtube...nothing made by them for their bikes...generic bike stuff. (the 3 videos I unfortunately had to watch, anyway) #7 Filled the tires up per instructions on the book, to proper psi, back tire blew. They blamed me and gave me instructions I should have followed that are not in the book and also assume I have no common sense. I filled the damn tire properly....your product is crap. #8 Sent a picture of screws not screwed in all the way near the gears on back wheel to see if thats how they were supposed to be, having not touched this part of the preassembled bike, the reply was,take it to a shop to fix since you (I) messed it up...all I did was photograph your shoddy work. #9 None of the accessories came with install instructions. Im still guessing on some. #10 As another reviewer stated, they will blame you for anything wrong with this bike. And it does look like they are just rebranding some cheaper products, although I can't confirm that. #11 Have had a non returnable 2,000.00 hunk of crap in my possession for 3 days...haven't been able to ride it yet. #12 You have to give a company time to correct things...some may say. They have been given time and the moment they blame/accuse the customer of doing something they did not do, you already know this is not a company that needs time to rectify...they are just a bad company. The good reviews in my opinion are simply extrely lucky clients, or problably their burner friends who just review for them. I am so dissapointed that a burner company would be so bad...lying and blaming us for their lies. I used them because of my impatience and ignorance to get a bike for burningman (I have bad knees and back problems) so I can keep up with my family. I hate writing bad reviews as I know how hard it is to run a company but my expereience with the Joulvert Voyager has been such garbage that I decided I needed to try to help others make a better decision than I did as it's a big purchase. I bought the bike online for me to assemble at home. All good. What wasn't all good is: - After assembling the bike carefully, I took it for a ride and there were a lot of clicks coming from around the pedals but joulvert wasn't able to help me figure out what they issue with it was. Clearly the bike just doesn't fit well together. - The kickstand they included doesn't fit. It is too long, even on the shortest setting, so the bike tips in the opposite direction to the ground. They wouldn't replace it. - They advertise the bike as built for festivals, including Burning Man, where I took mine. It fell apart out there. 3 different screws and the pedals kept on coming loose so I constantly had to tighten everything up so not only it worked, but hopefully so I wouldn't damage it. - The bike was not in good shape even given my best efforts so I took it in to a local bike shop and they told me I would need to pay $400 to repair some broken parts. I double checked that in a second shop and they agreed. In short, they are very much a "once we sell to these suckers it's their problem" type company. Maybe you'll get lucky. But don't expect super high quality and definitely don't expect help from them to fix any issues. read more

I stopped in to get info on the bikes and Robert, the only sales man in the shop, was more interested in helping other customers even though I had walked in first. I asked him how to fold the bike. He folded it himself without showing me how to do it. He then walked away to help another customer who was rudely demanding his attention. When I tried to unfold the bike, he grabbed it from me and lectured me on what not to do. I then asked to test ride it and he said they don't allow test rides even though the website clearly says "free test rides." Robert also seemed to be completely ignorant of the classes of ebikes and was unable to tell me if their bikes were class 1, 2, or 3. His only response was, "they're street legal." Poor service and no attention. I was then lectured about the advantage of buying from a local "full service" shop. If ignorance and ignoring customers is their idea of "full service," I'll be shopping elsewhere. read more

My dad had his bike for just under 3 years when suddenly it snapped while he was riding it, he went flying dislocated his shoulder, terrible road rash, luckily there were no cars on the street when it happened. In one word: incredible Purchased the journey pro a month ago. This ebike is by far the best one I had so far! Easy to ride, the battery is strong and last for longer than I expected it to be (travelled almost the whole day without charging!!!), the range is great and useful (20 miles) and the speed (23 mph) is great! The most important thing was the service though! Two weeks after I bought the bike I drove over some broken glass on the road and unfortunately had a flat tire. Called the shop brought the bike and they (Daniel) fixed for me in no time and no cost. All in all I definitely recommend joulvert as an incredible company with incredible ebike and most of all incredible service!!! read more

I love my bike. I got it during pandemic starting to get to and from work instead of using a subway. It's super convenient, easy to charge and simple to manage. I have an apartment, so I got the bike that folds up which definitely helps with space. So far I've had no issues! I got this bike on advice of a friend who has been using their scooters. I put a basket in the front by myself which is very helpful to put my backpack water bottle, etc. Good product, good brand. read more

Stay away. These bikes are very cheap and these people don't know how to repair their own products. They charge $30/hr plus the cost of the parts. I paid for the repair cost in April, it is almost September and still no bike. They are unable to fix it and are blaming us for the damage, apparently the inside of the motor is shattered. This is a cheap product that can't handle daily usage in this city such as: uneven roads, potholes, RAIN!($1500 for a bike that can't handle rain). There's no excuse for the motor to shatter! Or for you to not fix it, even if you can't why not just say that? You rather give us a round-around of excuses and take advantage of my husbands patience. Terrible product, terrible customer service, and a complete joke of a business. I couldn't wait anymore and had to buy an Arrow bike which I had previously owned (got stolen) before purchasing this trash of a bike that broke 5 months after I bought it. They don't even have the decency to call you, you have to call them and they give you excuses like "the owner is in burning man and left me with all these problems I can't fix". You're a grown man, if you disagree with your employer then quit. And you have the audacity to tell me the owner is upset I left a bad review so you're unable to help me. Super shady people. They offered me a new bike if I paid them $500 (unsure if repair cost would be credited or not) because they can't fix it. But, because I left a review on google he's not sure the owner will follow through with this offer. That's not cool, you can't ask people to hold off negative reviews in order to get good treatment from you; you should treat everyone with the same respect how dare you try to corner someone into deleting or not leaving a review. My husband,Jose, has been extremely patient, nice and cooperative with you through these past 3 months. He drew the line when one of the employees, Omar said he would have the bike ready before going to burning man and didn't follow though.
