    Only reason I didn't give a 1 star review is because sales side was OK. Made me feel respected and even though they tried to hassle and get more money out of me , i get thats their job.. Service side SUCKS at this place. They are constantly making mistakes .. to which i told them i would rather take my business elsewhere seeing as when i talked to the service manager Curt barns he was laughing at me saying I was stupid because they are close to where i live .. id rather have good service than having to go back constantly to somewhere that is going to keep making mistakes because they are close. He put me in his office which was TRASHED . Curt Barns the Service Manager . Office was disgusting with everyones personal information laying out .. no wonder they were making so much mistakes! I Even told him this is not a good look and a service representative named nick who saw me in my military uniform told me just because im in the military does not mean i should expect other people to be organized and Curt the manager says "sorry to break it to you but we all treat your information like this " . Dont bother with the service team of this place.. trust me

    The is by far the worst dealership I have been to. The price of a truck was listed at 31,994. When I got to the dealership the salesman was pretty push. I told him let's just take the truck for a test drive. Great truck. Get back and I told him let's see the numbers for the truck they asked if I was financing through them I told them no I already had a loan to buy the truck. They were pushy on trying to finance with them. I told them no no matter what. They come back with this breakdown (I took a picture to prove it before they could take the sheet away.) MSRP: 39,994 Selling price: 31,994 Total savings/rebate: 8,000 (what rebate) Government fees: 326.00 Prof/doc fees: 303.00 Pro-pack: 2,495 (which is on every vehicle that says optional they said I had to buy it. P.P. Recon: 1,995 Nissan CPO: 2,820 (truck is listed under CarMax for 31,994 as being CPO) Total tax: 2,774.28 Total amount: 42,707.88 Worst dealership ever stay away save yourself the trouble. They said it was the best they can do. Not even a manager came by. I have bought plenty of vehicles and never had an experience like this before.

    I dropped my car off for a tire rotation and after receiving my car I noticed that all my rims where scuffed up by someone who was careless working on my car. I have a Nissan Sentra midnight so I have the all black out rim. I call them and told them about it being all scuffed up and they told me to bring back in the car for a detailer to fix it. After going back to pick up my car I had front end damage on my car and my rim look like someone didn't know how to touch up paint. My front end of my car now has chipped paint and paint peeling. Not only did this happen but when I took the car in for an oil change my driver side door got hit and now I have a dent and missing paint. I have left multiple voice mail there and no one has responded to me. I can't believe a company can do this to someone car and do nothing about it.

Issues that did not exist before their repair. What followed was 8 failed attempts by their service department to correct the problems they themselves caused. Despite the repeated failures, the service manager emailed me stating that "any and all even remotely possible related concerns have been corrected and repaired at no cost to you." That statement was simply not true. The problems continued, and still continue today. Over the last several months, I've had to return again and again, only to receive the truck back with the same issues or new ones created by their workmanship. Instead of accountability, I received dismissive responses and empty assurances. Warranty coverage does not excuse poor quality control, misdiagnosis, or repeated failed repairs. A dealership should stand behind its work. Gurnee CDJR did not. If you value your time, your vehicle, and your peace of mind, I strongly recommend choosing a different service center. A Video from another dealership service tech showed missing bolts, reused gasket, oil leak, manifold loose, improper and loose coolant hose, error codes pointing at the prior work and continue of created problems from the job done in September 2025. Invoice, text, email video, pictures and voicemail all submitted to Attorney General and BBB. Not a good experience what's so ever after paying $5400. (Not including car rental). I have been more than patient as a customer.

However, they have treated me exceptionally well for the last several months. Let me explain. I bought my car from the Al Piemonte Melrose Park location. They suck. Anyway, my wife insisted I get the oil change package (I hate going to the dealer for oil changes, so I was dreading going to any location for this service. I have a great mechanic who does a great job with oil changes (https://www.autosolutionscenter.com/), so I was bummed that I was stuck with the dealership. Anyway, a few months into ownership, I got a letter about a recall and that I needed to bring my car in to get it fixed. I hate the Melrose Park location, so I put it off. I then got an email from Gillespie On The Go offering to come to my house to fix the recall. Okay, now we're getting somewhere. I asked if they do oil changes and I had the package, so they came out and did both. And in under an hour. I had them come out for another oil change. They said they had to charge me because I have to bring my car in. So I paid, but need to check as the service department told me that's not true, but they wanted to double-check on it. I also had an issue with the CarPlay not connecting in my car. They sat with me for an hour and a half to figure out the issue. We collectively figured it out, but they didn't charge me. They have such an awesome service staff. I will always go to them over other locations depite being nearly a half hour away.

On top of that the communications for updates was horrible. I had to call to ask them for updates about when it will be ready or what the updates are . On the second day I had to call over 5 times to even get someone to pick up the phone and then to get an answer of when it will be ready. At the end of the second day the tecs still couldn't seem to find the problem (easy as can see) and no updates where giving. Will never go here for any trouble shooting/ maintenance in the future fallowing such incompetence and lazy management.

    What a disappointment again. I saw a vehicle on the web page and called to inquire on the car…read more First person of contact was Rosa who was very nice and helpful. I explained my situation and was told that I had to come in in order to see if it was a possibility for me to purchase the car. She explain the process that needed to be done in person and she was positive that I would drive out in this car. I don't have a car so I had to uber there to go through the process. When I got there I met with Eric who I have to say has a lot to learn and should not be on the sales floor. Young and inconsiderate this kid told us he pulled the car up for us to test drive but was unable to go with cause he was to busy. He sent another kid who was very nice and a lot more helpful than Eric anyway. When we returned we had noticed a few things wrong with the car. Eric came back out and made excuses like everything was so minor and I asked cause I know these vehicles are know for the transmission going out about the warranty. 3 months ok what if I want to by an extended warranty his response was it's very expensive!! After all was said and done the finance gentleman walked out to tell us that the bank would not finance cause the car was to cheap and the miles. With a lot half down on the car that was $7000 and finance for $103 a month it couldn't be done BUT they could put me in a new car for the same payments. Great right I would have to go from a $7000 car paid off in about less then a year to a &14000 car same payments but for 7-8 years what a deal!!! Well let's just say it was a no go. They proceeded to tell me I could have done this all over the phone but I had asked Rosa and was told I had to come in. We went to leave no offer to take us home since I paid for an uber there and lived close expecting to drive home in a car. We continue to leave they were closed and didn't walk us out we had to unlock the doors ourselves and pay for another ride home. Don't trust these people they will try to rip you off !!!
