I've been going here for about a year now, sparingly. I was an early adopter when they first opened around 2023 I think? When it first opened, everything was great: clean, shiny, well functioning showers and pods. My one minor complaint is the water temperature of the pod. Granted, I run a little colder than most being anemic, but the temperature is lukewarm at best. I know it's not meant to be a sauna, but I would really prefer a warmer temperature. You do get used to it, but particularly in the winter months, I want my water heated past indoor pool temperature. 84-88 is the temperature best suited for aquatic therapy and this seems more like it's in the high 70s. Thankfully, my showers have always worked though the last time I was present, a customer was reaming out the employee as her water pressure was super low and the water was ice cold. Personally, I'd have left the room during the pod to be moved to a different room rather than enduring but that's just me. Nevertheless, the employee still handled things with grace and professionalism. My pod experience this last go round was different than that first year. I can tell that the pods have seen a lot of use; it shows. The interior handle used to open and close was missing. This made it more cumbersome to slide my doors close (or open them at the end). The finish is peeling and all in all, it looks like some maintenance is overdue. The lounge area could stand to have an additional oxygen bar since there are only two tanks and matching cords. I've noticed when people come out, they sit in those pods but don't always get the oxygen. Maybe directing these people to the back orientation room would be better and allow the lounge area the ability to provide oxygen to more folks? All in all, it's an okay experience. I do feel a bit more rested coming out but I usually always follow this up with a nice soak in my tub afterward. read more

Alexandria, VA - I purchased a Groupon for a float and decided a Friday night was a great time to check it out. I noted in other reviews that it's mandatory to arrive 30 minutes early for first float orientation. This fact wasn't emphasized when I called to make my appointment so I can see why there might be some confusion. Perhaps setting first appointments for 1.5 hours might make this more clear. Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly staff person who requested I put on plastic slippers and leave my shoes begin. This was a nice touch. Later I noted the slippers are soaked in a cleaning solution. I appreciate this as the slippers can then be reused. Next the staff person gave me a quick tour and showed me to the video room. The video was one part advertisement, one part orientation and one part sales pitch to buy a franchise. This last bit seemed a little much given I hadn't tried the float yet but i understand this is business. I returned to the lounge to wait my turn. A previous floater had just come out and the staff asked how things had gone. Apparently the shower didn't function well but the float was good. My turn came up and I was escorted back. I noted there were multiple float pod rooms. I was given a quick orientation to the room. The staff person opened the pod and said "This is where the magic happens!" All I can say here is there must be a generational difference in this phrases meaning. The staff person left and I turned on the shower. Ice cold water streamed out. I fiddled with the tap trying to get some warmth. Eventually managed some lukewarm water after a great amount of time. Then I couldn't shut the tap off!! My float time was beginning as I heard the narrator began her instructions. Finally got the shower down to a trickle and stepped in. The water here was warm clean and comfortable. It took my shower jangled nerves a while to calm down but when I did I had an excellent float experience. The end of the float was signaled by a loud door chime tone. The shower situation was no better. This time it was scalding hot water. Really took me right out of relaxation mode pretty quickly. I left the room for some oxygen bar time. The staff person set me up quickly and asked how the soak was. I noted all the shower issues. She acknowledged them and said she could add a note to my file so I would be in a different room Next time. This part mystified me. Why not give new customers the best experience this time? Additionally she noted that the prior customer had said the same thing about the shower. Apparently we had both been in the same room. There were other rooms so I don't understand why subject customers to a non working shower. Overall the float was great, staff was kind, the place was clean, but I wouldn't return based on the shower issues. read more

The ambiance and customer service at the floating spa were great--very soothing and professional. The environment was clean and peaceful, which helped me feel relaxed. That said, I had an indifferent experience overall. There was a piece of hair left in the pod, which was a bit off-putting. They also require you to take your shoes off at the entrance and provide reused slippers. While they say they're sanitized, I personally would've preferred a fresh, unused pair. Despite those things, I did feel relaxed afterward, but I'm not sure I'd rush back. read more

Decided to try something new and we weren't disappointed! First time floaters and this was an amazing date experience. The staff was friendly, the establishment had a calming atmosphere. We had separate float rooms and showers are in the room for before and after the pool. They provided towels, shampoo and shower gel. You'll need lotion, deodorant, and any other hygiene products you may require. HIGHLY recommend a swim cap if you don't wash your hair daily. We will definitely visit again! read more

This was my first time at a Truerest facility and I was pleasantly surprised. I was nervous about falling asleep or being bored for the 45 minutes you're floating in silence (there's music at the beginning and end) but the time truly flies by and you'll feel immense relaxation. I really appreciated the intro video and facility tour. The staff was friendly and helpful in answering our questions before the session. The oxygen bar at the end is a great touch. Staff never answers the phone and they do not return calls. I tried the Float Spa and it's not for me. I wanted to try the Vitality Suite which is what I'm looking for but, you can't get a hold of this location. Their automated text responses go to another location/business. I'll go elsewhere where they value clients such as St James in Springfield where you get the services and more for just $140 membership a month. It's adds about 15 additional minutes to my drive but well worth it! read more

I need a refund but the website offers NO information on how to do so and I cannot contact anyone so this is very shady. I should have done some research before purchasing. This was a great experience! Located in a shopping center with tons of free convenient parking, this floatation spa is a breeze to access! After arriving, my husband and I were issued spa sandals and watched a 5 minute video on what to expect during our float. After showering off, I slipped into my floatation cocoon and spent the next 50 minutes in bliss. The end of your floatation experience comes with spa music signaling it's time to get out and shower. The epsom salt leaves your skin silky smooth. You are also provided complimentary tea while you receive scented oxygen from their oxygen bar. Take advantage of the Groupon while it lasts, but they offer packages which gets the price down as well. I plan on taking my mother soon to aid her knee removal recovery. read more

My cousin and I went for some R&R on our girls night. Staff were friendly and welcoming. They were also knowledgeable on health and wellness products and self care resources. The facility was clean & kept well. Being our first time, we didn't know why to expect or how to prepare. Next time I know to bring my own swim cap and ear plugs. They sell caps there for $20. The ear plugs they provide are made of gummy type material which didn't work too well. I had a lot of salt in my ears and hair afterwards. Wear or bring loose fitting clothes to change into. No need to BYO music, is provided and you can't hear your own over a loud speaker at this location. I will defiantly consider returning. read more

At first I was hesitant to try it out, but I'm glad I did. When I first arrived the employees were extremely nice and welcoming; truly making it seem like a real spa. They switched out our shoes, then took us to a back room to watch an introduction video so we could really know what we were getting into. I did my research beforehand, but the video definitely added a touch of information. The directions are clear and the rooms are nice. They make sure to tell you it may take more than one visit to truly and 100% rest, which I am ok with. I would recommend wearing the earplugs because the water did get stuck in my ears after my first visit. The only downside was I couldn't play my own music because I don't think the system was set up at the time, but definitely excited to go back! read more

I didn't expect to enjoy this experience but ended up loving it and felt very well rested after my hour in the float spa. I closed the pod and didn't feel anxious or claustrophobic at all The staff was very friendly and informative. I was surprised to find out one of the front desk employees had only been there two months because she definitely knew her stuff and was able to easily answer all of my questions. My advice is to arrive wearing flip flops and loose fitting clothes that will be easy to put back on when your skin is still a little damp. read more

I took advantage of their two for one offer that kept following me on my social media feeds and I am glad I did it. Spoiler alert- I will definitely go back. My husband and I went at the same time (separate float pods/rooms) the staff was very nice, there was no hard sell for a subscription which I was a little worried about. They explained everything well and I never once felt uncomfortable. I won't say the hour passed quickly- there were maybe some hiccups. Like you're asked if you want music or silence or a combination and I asked for 40 min silence and 20 min music and it felt like maybe 20 min in I got 5 minutes of music and then it went away until the end when it came back to let you know it's time to get out. I liked that you could control the lights in the pod yourself- I left my lights on for half and then off for half when I felt comfortable. The only reason I'm not giving this review 5 stars is because of the shower- you should take one before you get in ( there is one in your room) and of course when you get out. The shower does not stay hot for very long. In fact in the "oasis" room where you sit after your float, we spoke with the couple scheduled at the same time and the husband of that couple asked if the shower was supposed to be like a cold plunge so I guess we all had the same experience. Also there is a little floor mat for when you get out of the pod but the salty slippery path from the pod to the shower could maybe use an additional matt or two. But all in all it was a good experience and I look forward to future floats here. read more

This experience was a gift and to schedule my appointment I had to give them a credit card, a phone number and email. I booked 2 appointments had to have a different phone number and email for each person which was a problem as my senior mother lives with me and does not have a phone number for her nor uses email, they wouldn't book us for appointments as I was told that this information is used to do the registration and waiver form at check in. I told my husband to get his money back because just getting the appointment setup was frustrating and it turns out this is non refundable. I then get an email from true spa that my appointments are confirmed with same email address and phone number. When we get there for our appointments we are told again that we could not use same phone number and email address. I had to give an alternative email and phone number. We were on time but was told that I should have arrived 30 minutes earlier to go through registration and complete waiver form and that my time would be shortened. I honestly didn't fully read the confirmation email for my appointment as had already spent 20 minutes trying to set it up and couldn't that . Anyways, the experience is not for me as I was nauseous from the floating and couldn't stay in for the entire time. The water felt a little slimy and the 8 minute video they played at the begging where it explains the process benefits and side effects.. did say that in order to see any results you at least need 3 sessions. Just beware on buying gift certificates as these are non refundable and user must give a credit card, phone number and email to even schedule an appointment. read more

I tried this using a Groupon, and was very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful I felt for the rest of the week. Truerest staff were very helpful and polite, the spaces were very clean, and the float experience was very relaxing. I thought I was the only person there, until I went to dry my hair afterwards and discovered a few others were also finishing up float sessions. The float pod was easy to use, and my skin felt great after Also, I LOVED the shower experience after due to the shower head providing a rainfall-like effect, and the products available to shower with (body wash, shampoo, and conditioner) were all quality. The front desk staff were great and answered questions, and definitely helped make the experience. I even met the owner who was very friendly and welcoming, and answered questions I had about children using the float pod as I think this would be beneficial for one of my kids. I had such a relaxing experience that I totally forgot my shoes and walked out in the slippers they provide! I will definitely be going back; I am so happy to have found this space so near my house. One of the other folks there was saying that he had purchased a membership and drives down from Baltimore weekly to use the float pod! That's definitely a testament to Amber and her team! read more
