Recently bought a pair of dr martens sandals less than 3weeks at Journeys in Plaza Bonita. My daughter literally wore them about 4 times, the shoe is defective. The stitch broke and the strap came apart. I took them back with receipt original box and they refused to exchange them. They have horrible attitudes literally smirked and shrugged their shoulders when I said I would contact customer service. They do not care about their customers at all not even to try to find a solution basically we wipe our hands. So basically we are stuck with a pair of 160 shoes are ruined. Beware of buying anything from this store read over the return policy total bull crap. If anything happens to your shoes if you wear them even once they don't care and will not by any means try to help you just stand there like a bunch of idiots yes idiots...I will never purchase from this company again. Went to Plaza Bonita mall for back to school shopping for my kid. We decided to take a look at Journeys. They had a few shoe selections on display but most were out of stock/not our size. We had a staff by the name of Ozzy who helped us. He was helpful and patient. The store was clean and spacious. Had a few chairs for you to sit down and try on shoes, along with long mirrors to check out the kicks. They also have those stockings for you to try on the shoes. I noticed the people in front of me got frustrated as well because they didn't have many sizes in stock. I was looking for Champion and Fila brands, no luck at Foot Locker, found some on their Journeys website, so I stopped by to check with the employees, for some reasons they have 3 stores at Plaza Bonita, one Journeys Kid upstair, 2 Journeys for adults downstair, each carries different stuffs, for all the brands you could buy for better prices at Ross, this Journeys still sell them for regular price, for example I saw a pair of Fila Disruptor for $26.99 at Ross, it will be $70 at Journeys still, even for the Champion slides I got not too long ago for $6 at Foot Locker, it is $19.99 here. I felt it was a bit overpriced and also they didn't price match with any of their competitors, so I ended up not buying any, but I have to acknowledge their customer service, they were very resourceful to guide me thru all kinds of shoes, unfortunately they might have to apply the summer discounts to some of their collection to help with the sales. I will probably go back to Ross to pick up those shoes, but I wish them good luck. read more

I am giving this place 3 stars because I have had some good experiences and bad experiences. Lets start off with the good experiences, the one time before they were knowledgeable on sizes and have a good selection. Now, the bad....the customer service is horrible, they just cannot help you for anything. Basically all i heard was no, no and no. It was super frustrating that I had just received a coupon in mail today and they could not use it claiming it was used already. They did not have any care or tried to help me. There are 2 journeys but the one I'm writing for is not the one next to NYX. The customer service this is excellent. Especially the female staff named Rene. She was very helpful and sweet. Also, another female staff with green hair (wish I remembered her name) was super nice. I was not able to find the shoes I wanted because they didn't make my size in mens. It's a very small shop, but they do have a tendency to sell the most popular shoes, although size and selection can be limited at times, they do have friendly employees who do try to sell you on things, but overall, they have regular or slightly higher prices than some places, definitely not my first choice place to go to, but we came here recently to buy a pair of leather chucks , for a last minute photoshoot. Had the worst experience at this kids Journeys. Was never asked for a shoe size and was redirected to look at different shoes by associate. My daughter at 6 years old wears toddler sizes. I was looking into getting my first pair of Dr Martens, but unfortunately I had little to no knowledge about them and how they're suppose to feel and fit, so I decided to stop by at the store. I was instantly greeted by Ivan, who was very kind right off the get go. I explained to him out I've never tried on docs so I had no idea how they were suppose to feel. Ivan then fully explained in details how dr Martens run, how are they suppose to feel, and how to take care of them in such a simple yet professional form that I felt like I knew all about them in that little explanation from Ivan. After a little conversation with Ivan about Football( we got a little off track), he offered to bring various styles of Dr Martens to see which one caught my eye. I wear 10.5 on all my shoes, so Ivan brought out various styles in size 10, as well as size 11 for me to try on, because he said docs martens run half a size big. To which he was correct, 10 felt perfect for me. I ended up getting my first pair( 1460 Nappa) as well as a pair for my daughter ( got her the shiny pink ones), along with a care kit ( which he recommended if I wanted to make them last longer, and make them look like new for longer, which I do), along with some socks, because he recommended that I wear longer socks, so the back of the boot didn't blister up the back of my heel. Huge shoutout to Ivan for being quite frankly, the most helpful, polite, and energetic retail employee I've ever had the privilege to be assisted by. If anyone wants an awesome customer service experience, ask for him. I'll definitely be stopping by soon to get some new shoes. read more

This Corporation has an unfavorable return policy.The clerk at the store ordered the wrong boots for me. This happened to me on the 27 Nov 2015, my wife bought a pair of the 1460 Doc Martens, I realized they were not leather (Store #371). As soon as I made it home from work that day, I told her these were not leather boots. We promptly took them back to exchange for a pair of leather boots. Empl# 420647, tried to convince me the Vegan Leather was real leather. I just told him to order me a pair of 1460 Cherry Doc Martens Leather. The return at this point seemed smooth but to my surprise on 10 Jan 2016, the day our family could gather and celebrate Christmas, we discovered the boots that had been ordered by the clerk were the completely wrong boots (R15265601). We followed the return instructions. Returned the incorrect product to Journeys Inc. The RETURN instructions were followed. The boots were sent via UPS Ground (Track#1Z V52 2E3 06 2605 1968) on 11 Jan 2016. The instructions said the product could not be returned to the store and I would receive a credit to my card once received and processesed. RYAN at the Dock in Lebanon, TN received the boots on 15 Jan 2015 @ 1059. I was NEVER credited by Journeys Inc. $169.99....Still waiting patiently for my refund. On 12 Feb 2016, I called customer service on there packing list 1-888-324-6536. Tragically laughable, Journeys Inc prints they incorrect phone number on their packing lists (Picture Posted) I hunted down the CORRECT number somewhere in the internet. I stumbled into journeys and I found myself looking at the catalogue, I ordered some Adidas and I have them shipped to the store. About 4 days later I finally got the call that my shoes had arrived, and I eagerly went to go pick them up! When I got there we realized the young lady that helped me order my shoes failed to tell me they only had men's sizes. The shoes I wanted was not made in a small enough size for me, so I ended up getting my money back. I was a little upset about my shoes not working out, and the young lady not telling me this information beforehand, but the point of this review is to thank the girl who helped me out, I believe her name was Jessica or Jennifer or something similar. She was really helpful, informative, and really made the overall experience a likable one! I didn't get shoes that day, but her service definitely has me looking forward to coming back. Thanks girl! BOTH OF THE MANAGERS ARE RUDE AS HELL. LAZIEST MANAGERS WITH THE WORST ATTITUDES. I asked for a size 4 shoe from both of them at different times and both managers turned to the other workers on duty and told them to go get it when the other workers had their own task already. Even worst one of the managers after telling the other worker to get the shoe for me she then just leaves the store....... OMG NEVER SHOP AT JOURNEYS...I went to purchase a pair of shoes from there about a month ago. They didnt have my size so they ordered the shoes to be shipped to me...for a fee of course in which I was later told I should't have been charged. Then a couple weeks later my shoes finally arrive and...wait for it...THEY ARE CLEARLY USED SHOES! Yeah, bought brand new in the store, paid extra for shipping, and get used shoes in the mail! ...wait it gets worse...then I go to the store to take them back and tell the manager, and the manager tells me "so what do you want me to do, clean them?"...WOW! So after he finally decides to give me his name (Alex), he says he can refund the shoes but not the delivery charge. WHAT! This is why you don't shop at Plaza Bonita everyone says. So I call customer service and go thru the whole thing and the rep confirms these shoes were returned to another store per their records and should not have been sent to me and that I was overcharged for the shipping in the 1st place. I'm told to send the shoes back & they'll send another pair brand new along with a gift card for the inconvenience. I sent the shoes back, never received the new pair nor the gift card. Finally called back today to check status & they tell me "oh we didnt have your size so we'll mail a refund. WACK! all that for them to just give me a refund a month later....these were supposed to be a Christmas gift...and now according to the customer service manager (Jamie) they can just send me a refund in the mail for the used shoes I paid extra for a month ago...I'll never shop at Journeys again! read more

In high school and college, I enjoyed shopping at this shoe store. The selection of shoes and the variety of colors were trendy and geared told the mall-age crowd. I remember buying a couple pairs of Airwalks and Pumas. My only complaint is that the prices seemed a bit high on some of the selections.
