I love Poke Bowls and have found Joy Poke reasonable and good on most visits. The restaurant was empty when I walked in for lunch and so was attended right away . The server was generous with the portions and the quality was as good as always. The small bowl was more than enough for me and I had to pack it for later . I love their complimentary Miso soups .The staff was kind and cheerful . Huge Parking lot right outside.

Great casual spot for poke! All of the workers are super friendly and generous with portions. All bowls come with a free bowl of warm miso soup. The fish was fresh and the toppings all tasted high quality. The yuzu ponzu and creamy sesame sauces are delicious.

I'm a big fan of joy poke, wish it was closer to where I live then I'd be a regular here for sure! Inside is clean with lots of seating available. The staff that was helping me was really friendly he looks like the kind of people who enjoy working at their job. They made ordering very easy with step by step, I like the variety of proteins, toppings, and sauces to pick from ( try getting sweet ponzu with spicy mayo on top that's my fav). I got a small bowl but wow the staff really packed it up for me I had to ask for a to go box to bring home. Don't forget they give a complimentary miso soup as well just ask the staff for it! Definitely returning :)

Environment: a small little store but the menus and directions were clear and there were different kind of seatings (high bar-like) or regular tables. Staff: they were busy and I had to wait for awhile but a staff member kept apologizing for the wait. Food: I got their small size poke bowl which was $12.99. I asked for rice and all kinds of toppings. The main fish I got were salmon and tuna. I know this was a small but there were really very few pieces of raw fish. There were plenty of rice and other toppings but if they add a bit more raw fish, I think that would be better as I am paying $13. Anyways, okay place and the staff were friendly.

It was my first time here and it was not too busy because we came right at open. It was very open space and felt very relaxed. Jose was our server and he was super nice. He was very patient friendly accommodating, and just a positive attitude overall which made experience a lot better. The combinations are plentiful and there's so many sauces and add-ons you could have, and the medium bowl was very large. I almost finished it, but it's definitely two meals worth. There is nice combinations of scoops from each of the ingredients, so the meal felt really balance not like too much rice, or too much of this or too much of that . Definitely will be coming back here multiple times for my poke fix. The parking was a little cramped, which was kind of a pain .

The bigger location of the two in Beaverton area. This spot has tons of seatings and very nice ambience. Staffs were friendly and hardworking. Also, their portion is great! The small is more than plenty for me with 2 choices of protein and many many toppings. Everything was super fresh. Fish portion was on the small side but they made up for it with the other stuffs. The sesame shoyu sauce was a tad salty for me so will experiment with a different sauce next time. They also have complimentary miso soup and hot green tea for grab. Totally would be back!

This has been the only poké place i come to in recent months, even if it is 20 mins away from home. The ingredients are always fresh, including fish chunks. Jose has been the guy helping with the service and every time he's been soft-spoken and kind. Definitely coming back for more. read more

Delicious and fresh poke! Really easy to build the bowl you are craving. So many options to choose from so I strongly suggest looking at the menu before you go. (It's like chipotle where you go down a line and choose what you want) I got the spicy tuna with spicy crab and edamame. Really really good, although I regret not getting more spicy Mayo sauce. The heat was there but needed a just a touch of salt for taste. Everything tasted fresh and the serving sizes were good. Definitely a must try if you like poke bowls! read more

Finally Joy Poke is opened Beaverton!! I usually go to downtown location and Saltzman village. The Joy Poke always serving fresh ingredients and vey friendly staff. Also they have a lot of vegan options and gluten free options. I've been couple of poke places but honestly Joy Poke is the best in the town. read more

Such good poke! I've had poke in Hawaii and this tastes veryyyy similar. The only thing I'd "complain" about is I wish the tuna chunks were cut smaller. I don't like having a mouthful of tuna, I prefer small cubed bites. I'll most likely be a regular at this location. read more

I absolutely love this place, I try to make it a date every few weeks. I know what I like there so I get it every time, and every time it's good. The staff are very friendly to me and efficient. I tried their ice cream fish desserts and while super strange at first, after getting used to it I loved it. My only go to place for poke. read more

Joy Poke is a great place for fast, healthy, and fresh poke bowls! You get to choose the bowl ingredients in 6 steps: base, two sides, protein, mix-ins, sauces, and toppings. The protein portion size changes depending on the size of the bowl - everything else stays the same and the portion sizes are generous. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. What makes Joy Poke stand out from other places? You can pick multiple types of proteins, and there were many vegan options including tofu, corn, red pickles, seaweed salad, edamame, and cucumbers. I also like how brown rice is an option here, and you can add a piece of tamago to your bowl. Will definitely be back anytime I'm craving a healthy and fresh poke bowl! read more

My mother has been coming to this location for years, and she started taking me a while ago. The workers are all no nice and genuinely care about you and the making of your food. They are always so polite and do an amazing job. All of the toppings are SUPER FRESH the Dole Whip is amazing would definitely recommend. They also give a complementary miso soup and have some nice mints at the checkout. I love this business so much and honestly can't wait to go back again. read more

The server was nice that's the reason for the four star rating. For a quick fix for poke, it works, but I have yet to experience anything like back in Hawaii. It just isn't the same. Nice try west coast. read more

Had this place before which was great. Tonight I went on around 6pm. They were out of a lot of things. No salmon or masago. And there was a big spider crawling around in the spicy tuna. Really disgusting. I am just disappointed that they ran out, or were they just lazy and didn't want to cut up more fish in the back. The bug did gross me out and not sure if I'll return. read more

hands-down my most favorite poke place in Portland Beaverton area. They always have the freshest fish. I don't know why but this store really makes a different and you're poke bowl. I have tried many other places but this place is still the best. I always get a small with two scoops of salmon and there sesame shoyu sauce. Make sure to add all the toppings all you want because it's unlimited. I noticed spot from the location downtown Portland but since I moved to Beaverton coming back there is such a hassle and I'm so happy there's one really close to my place now. read more

Came a few days ago & disappointed for an overpriced barley seasoned bowl, been to many poke places. I have poke at least once a week and came here for the first time because of reviews. Not worth my 17 bucks! Everything tasted so bland and lack of flavor. Really stingy on the protein for like 4 pieces of Salmon I never got so little protein at any other places. Don't know what the hype reviews are about. SeaSweets is way better ! read more

A small little shop right next to Starbucks, Joy Poke doesn't get enough credit for the great service and even better food. They are reasonably priced and you can't go wrong here since you're making your own bowl. It never fails to make one full and you will be out with your food within 5 minutes of coming in. read more

For the desperate Hawaiian that just missed out on Uwajimaya's slim pickings of poke. If you're trying to pin this kine poke with Foodland's, Tamura's or Times', just think of the poke they made 2 days ago and is now on clearance. Then toss in more toppings that drowns the amount of fish in the bowl to stretch 'um like one Chinese optical illusion. Yup, was desperate and learned from it. Seasweets, Freshfish Poke food truck are way better "mainland" kine style poke choices that are relatively close to this location. Best rendition on real Hawaiian poke I've found out here is Kamaaina Kitchen's one or It's A Roll food truck by Moda Center. read more

I am so happy I found this spot. The poke here is delicious and fresh. There are sooo many options for toppings and sides and sauces. I love the variety. The atmosphere inside and outside is very clean. Lastly, the customer service was top notch. Raul helped us make our bowls and he was friendly, welcoming, and overall extremely helpful. Joy Poke is by far one of the top poke places in the area. We're new to Portland/Beaverton and are used to the classic "Hawaiian" portions--AKA a ton of food. Not only were our bowls loaded up, it was very competitively priced. The rice was cooked well, the proteins had a lot of variety, and there were a bunch of toppings to choose from. On top of that, they offered a complimentary miso soup. The restaurant was also extremely clean. Jose helped us and provided top notch customer service, recommending add-ins to compliment what we chose. This will definitely be our top spot for Poke from now on. read more

I only stopped here because i try nee things. It helps me fight of "old fuddy duddy-ism." I cant think of a world where salad, a couple of appitizers and a teriyaki bowl all lumped together would be good. It was great! A nice staff who will share suggestions. read more

Terrible value for your money. With so many poke spots opening up they really need to stay competitive. Flavor is good. But one scoop of poke equals about 4 pieces, I could literally see him mentally counting out the pieces. They even skimp on the sides. Won't be back. Sea Sweets is less expensive and give you twice as much. read more

I ordered this from the parking lot on Grubhub (didn't realize I was that close by) so when I walked in five minutes later, it wasn't ready just yet. The only employee inside came out after a few minutes and apologized, explaining they thought this was a Grubhub delivery pickup and would take longer. He made it right then and there and gave me some additional options since I was in the store. He was kind enough to explain what all the toppings and sauces were and make recommendations since it was my first time eating there. Overall it was a tad pricy but worth it, I snuck a bite before driving home and nearly ate the entire thing in the parking lot. I can't remember all the ingredients I added, there were a lot, basically most of the vegetarian options, everything was bright, fresh and well seasoned. I look forward to eating here again. read more

It tasted like it was made out of a premade powder mix. We didn't finish them and threw them away. It satisfies the craving, but it isn't the best poke we've had. If you're in the area it's a nice place, but there's better poke elsewhere.

I found a good handful of items from Hawaii that I was either wanting or needed while in town. If you make lau lau, I found some nice luau leaves for a very good price. It wasn't all stem, like how some of the store sells em so it was a plus. My daughters enjoyed the variety of musubi in the hot case. Reminded them of Foodland. They said it was good.

Extremely Unprofessional Behavior at the Poke Counter…read more Today my friend and I drove to Uwajimaya specifically to buy fresh poke, which we usually enjoy here. When we arrived at the poke bowl service counter, we were standing in front of the menu screens trying to decide what to order. We were not in line yet, because we were still looking at the options and deciding. We had only been standing there for less than three minutes. At the time, there was an Asian male employee helping another customer. After that customer finished ordering, another male employee (tall with long hair) gestured toward me and asked if I was ready to order. I said, "Can I get a mini bowl please?" Instead of confirming my order, he immediately asked whether my friend wanted the same thing. My friend was still deciding and had not said she was ordering yet, so I politely replied that she wasn't sure yet, but I was ready to order mine. The employee then shook his head and slammed the rice container, which completely surprised me. The gesture and attitude felt very disrespectful and unnecessarily aggressive toward a customer. For context, I work in the food service industry myself, so I understand that things can get busy. However, at that moment there were no other customers waiting behind us, so the pressure and frustration displayed by this employee felt very inappropriate. Because of how uncomfortable the interaction felt, I told him that it was okay and that I would not order anymore. My friend also said it was okay and that we didn't want anything anymore. Instead of simply letting us go, the employee shouted loudly across the counter, saying "Come back, come back! What do you want? Come back!" while waving his hand at us as if we had to beg for him to serve us. We had done nothing wrong--we were simply looking at the menu and politely asked for a mini bowl. The experience left us feeling confused, pressured, and honestly quite uncomfortable. We later reported the incident to the customer service counter. The female employee there (wearing glasses) listened and said she would forward the report to management. I have visited Uwajimaya many times and usually enjoy shopping here, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I hope management addresses this situation and reminds staff that basic courtesy and patience are essential in customer service. After the incident, we decided not to order poke and only purchased a bottled tea before leaving. We ended up going to another Japanese restaurant nearby for food instead. I'm sharing this experience not to attack the business, but to provide honest feedback. Uwajimaya has always been a place we enjoy visiting, and we would be happy to come back in the future--once we feel confident that customers will not be treated this way again by this particular employee.

The owner came out to tell us the color is like that because the meat is marinated. The piece she had seemed better cooked than the one I had. She offered to make another batch for us but at that point we were done. She graciously let us try their bbq pork which was good in flavor and fatty. Sadly, I was pretty disappointed. Even though their menu had a lot of different flavors to choose from, it was all the same things. The flavors were all on the bland side and it was expensive for what you get. Being chinese myself, I do hope they do well though in this market!

It's hard to find any fault in this visit, except for an unfortunate encounter with a disruptive homeless individual. I had an amazing experience at this poke bowl spot! The fish is incredibly fresh and tasted high-quality. I build my own bowl with two scoops of salmon, one scoop of tuna, one scoop of shrimp and all the classic toppings like corn, cucumber, and seaweed salad. You can pick your own sauce. The flavors were perfectly balanced and everything is so delicious. The portion was generous and the service was quick and friendly. It's clear they care about quality ingredients.
