Working in Portland for 2 weeks, I have been wanting poke but haven't seen any worthy ones. But caught this one and I worked 5 mins away so I decided to go. It was definitely worth it. A clean little spot. They really loaded it up especially with the seaweed salad ( and it tasted delish and flavorful). I also got two spam masubi (already pre-made in a heat oven) I was a little skeptical of it. But they turned out to actually be really good, plenty of sauce to keep it from drying and a great amount. The lady who prepped my bowl was nice and professional.

Great place for a quick healthy lunch! I actually don't eat raw fish, so why go to a poke place? They have a tofu option and unlimited toppings. I got the small and my husband got the medium. Mine was so filling I took a to-go box. Very fresh and it was so nice that they offer free miso soup and hot tea! Friendly staff that explain the process of ordering and you can tell they keep up on cleaning, it was spotless in there.

I'm a fan! Clean and fresh made-to-order poke bowls. Their fish quality is great. Many toppings, sauces, and add-on options. Also, prices are better than most places. The place itself is also very clean. Plenty of seats. A great quick lunch spot.

I had high hopes based on the previous reviews but was a bit let down. First, the food was not bad. I'm a Hawaii girl, so maybe I'm a bit picky, but there was decent flavor. It just had a little too much of an old fishy tasty, but the sauces helped. I liked it overall, but if you're charging me $15 for a small bowl of previously frozen fish, it better be good! Additionally, I'm not sure if that man working was having an off day, but he did not smile once. You'd expect a welcoming environment but he looked like he wanted to get his service done and move on with the day. I don't like that. Maybe I'd come back if I'm in the area and seriously craving some poke, but I doubt that'll happen.

Great food for a hot day! Instead of pre-set bowl combos, there is a 6 Step menu full of choices. If you're indecisive, this could be a nightmare. I got a medium (3 scoops of protein) on mixed salad. If you only get rice, the take-out box is smaller. You can also do half and half. I got 3 scoops salmon, which came in large cubes and was fresh. You can choose a different protein for each scoop if you want to. There are a lot of mix-in and topping options, which is nice for customization. I got seaweed salad and crab for Sides, but next time I will get edamame instead of crab. It is a great healthy meal without sacrificing taste. It was quite filling but I managed to finish it. :)

The menu process is long and full of decisions, could be slow if people don't know what they want or indecisive

Saw this place open up a couple months ago but simply didn't have time to stop and check it out during the busy holidays, I and the family love our Poke and couldn't wait to check it out as it is close and convenient at the corner of Cornell and Saltzmann. Can't beat the location should be a hit! Learned it was the same chain as the one downtown, how is it? Not as good as the one downtown but a solid poke experience! Came in on a Saturday at prime lunch time 12:30 and were the only customer, hmm was it good? Will it stay in business ? Is the fish fresh? Surprised how empty the place is, not a good sign! Forgot how slow the process could be with so many choices, god help the line of you got a lot of indecisive people in front of you, I only had the wife, LOL Got a medium half and half, so cute the staff was so carefully setting the portions, funny how carefully he was, almost thought he was on camera, but surprise I didn't seem the ever watching cameras, hmm. How was the meal? Fish was fresh!!!! How was the selection of toppings, plenty to scratch every combo you'd want. How was the value, pretty good for fresh poke and all the toppings! Hope the place gets some business and stays open! I'll be back much better than five guys but will Chipotle's new healthy get me back is the question to be answered another day ;-)

Finally! A good poke place in the Beaverton area! There is an ample selection of protein, toppings, sauce and sides. For a small bowl, you can choose 2 protein choices and I usually opt for double salmon. The dried garlic and onions are cherry on tops; they added to the bowl in a refreshing way and enriched the flavor of the fish. Staffs are knowledgeable of the options presented and are highly efficient. I recommend adding more sauce in the future, especially for larger bowls! Will come back again :)

But today, I had the time to swing by and fortunately he was open, but SOLD OUT. Fortunately, he had a few things left over. So I said yes to a mix plate. Nolan's Hawaii accent is still thick it made me feel like I was back home on the west side for a second (!!!!thank you!!!!) I met some people outside the food stand, a business man from Hawaii and some California people I mistaken were from Hawaii as well, lol. It was an awesome interaction, from the moment I got there I got greeted by strangers waiting for food, to going up to the window and asking "so what? No more nuttin left?" Nolan's response was "Nah I only get mochicko chicken and kalua, you likem?" Haha that was a definite yes! Won't miss out on home food esp if word of mouth was already out there. So I waited a few minutes for my food, and the box was heavy. Haha it felt like when you would eat at your aunty and uncles house and they pack you the party left overs. I opened my plate lunch and I was greeted by a huge portion of chicken, pork rice and Mac salad. And let me tell you, the Mac salad didn't have so much frills like what you would see in a Portland Hawaii food joint. It was sauced, and seasoned. PERFECT! No need for all the extra add ons. As I started eating, let me say that kalua pork was no joke so moist and easy to eat not even close to dried out. The chicken tasted nice and crispy with just enough marinate and fluff. I haven't found this anywhere in Oregon..until here. Yeah sure there's a poke and katsu bar in the shopping center next door... but I take the random food cart in the parking lot any day over something franchised

Laulau, chicken long rice...CHICKEN LONG RICE! I haven't had that in years and suddenly my mouth was watering. None of the other plate lunch/Hawaiian food places in PDX have had that to my knowledge, and I needed to have it now. My dining companion was taking in the meat jun on the menu, as well as the fried rice omelette. We went in and ordered the chicken adobo fried rice omelette and chicken long rice on the side. Double starch, double chicken, check. Loved that the menu pointed out they serve koshihikari rice. I knew I was in good hands. No medium grain rice for this gal. The service was friendly, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. There was a nice note on the wall saying the table would be bussed by staff, so we didn't have to play the guessing game of "search for the bus bins." Clean tables, bright light from the windows, good food. The adobo gravy on the omelette was winnahs. The omelette itself was not holding a candle to Elena's Food Truck, but tasty and filling. The chicken long rice was perfect. The only improvement would have been a nice hit of white pepper, maybe. The only thing not quite to my liking was the mac salad, but that didn't stop us from mopping our plates clean. We will be back for everything else on the menu.

We decided to give it a try and we were a fairly large group of six people when we got there, we put our name on the list and we were told that it would be a little bit of time. I don't remember how much time they said. Poked our head inside and saw that it was packed, as far as I could see there were no available spaces. So we just chose to wait outside. We were the next people on the list and there were no reservations at this point. After 20 minutes I was getting a little irritated that people had come out, but they had not called us back to go inside even though we were standing right outside the door. A group of people walked up and they were sad immediately and I know they didn't have reservations, because I heard them talking about it. at this point, I wanted to just call it a night, but my son really wanted to show us his favorite spot. There's a small spot inside the door that you can sit and wait for a table and so we moved in there to have a seat. Apparently there was a large table right by the front door that the server and hostess assumed was going to be leaving soon and that was the table space that they were going to put us in. only half of them left so there wasn't enough space for all of us to sit there. While we waited again, another group before people came in and they sat them in the back somewhere. Eventually, we did get a seat crowded around a tiny table. We were all ordering specialty drinks, and honestly, they tasted all the same to me. The ambience is on theme with the tiki bar, very cute authentic. It seemed like there was one server and the hostess was helping her, and the bartender behind the bar was helping the server as well. Seems like also everyone ordered something flaming, and I can only assume there's never been a situation where something is caught fire that shouldn't have, but they didn't seem to be very careful with the flames. And I was quite worried that my hair was gonna catch on fire. If I were to visit again, I would see if I could get a reservation. Otherwise I'm not sure it would've been worth it. Parking is street parking so you may end up having to walk the night we were there we lucked out with the space fairly close by.
