    Shrimp teriyaki lunch

Ugh such a little hole in the wall place but such a little gem! So happy I came in for lunch here. Their lunch teriyaki bowls were so tasty, service was great however I'll have to come back to rate their sushi!!

Came for lunch on a Monday. It's located in a strip mall and doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's clean and spacious inside. I had the sashimi lunch and added sushi rice. The salad was tasty and the miso soup was really comforting. I was surprised by how much fish was in the sashimi lunch and how great the quality is for less than $20! The salmon and white tuna were standouts, but everything was super fresh. The staff were very friendly and really appreciated that I enjoyed my meal. I will definitely be back!

Solid choice if you're in the area and craving sushi. Service is always friendly and quick. I've ordered takeout several times and it's always simple and ready when I arrive. I recently dined in and the service was just as fast! It's not huge but there are a few tables and a long bar with seats that wraps around the most of the dining space. I sat at the bar which is my seating preference anyhow. Overall it's not a fancy place but it seems relatively clean. There's plenty of parking spots too. If you're a resident in Alpharetta or a surrounding city like Roswell or Sandy springs we are lucky to have a ton of great sushi restaurants. This is one of my favorites. For the service, convenience, taste and price you really can't go wrong here.

Great local place for the mid-week, once-a-week sushi break. Kids bento box is the deal! For my picky little one, he loves the oranges. For my older son who actually eats, shrimp teriyaki is the way to go. And then, I get *all the sushi rolls*. I've had so many and like them all. Staff is super friendly and always happy to accommodate. They treat my boys so kind and get them set up with "kids chopsticks". It's a joy to dine at JP!

Long horn roll and Route 66 roll

So this was my first time at JP Sushi and I can confidently say that this is the best Sushi place I've been to thus far! I found the shop off a quick Yelp search for sushi nearby (Roswell area) and this spot was recommended. First, I like the environment of the restaurant, it's like a combination of a family restaurant and a sports bar, but it's not chaotic. Jean & I decided to sit at the bar and were able to look at the chefs preparing all the different rolls. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, whenever we needed anything they quickly responded and make us feel welcomed. A1 service indeed. Now for the food, the menu was pretty diverse with the kind of sushi rolls they had, so it took me a while to decide what I would get. They also have another options for food (I.e chicken cutlets, rice bowls, noodles, etc) in case you want other things. Either way, I decided on the Long Horn roll and Jean got the Route 66 roll, both deep fried rolls. AMAZING! The quality of the roll was fresh and delicious. They fired them to perfection and gave us more of a portion then we expected. Also, while we were waiting, the waiter brought us some fired fish pieces, kind of like a appetizer, free of charge! Then afterwards, when she was clearing out dishes, she brought us a orange to share, kind like a dessert. I never knew oranges were what I needed after sushi, but now I know it is! Overall the experience, food, and service was all 10/10.

    Miso soup

I went there as my team lunch (we go there quite a lot actually and today I finally decided to write why). Their service is super fast (literally done with our meal and bill in 45 mins total). The food is amazing. Loved the overall vibe and ambiance of the place. It's on an average price range, about $12-$14 per person. I ordered a binto box which had sushi, salmon, rice and a lot of other stuff (took half of it for To-go). It came with side soup.

Been a few times now and still working through the menu. I've been driving this place for years and finally stopped, should have tried it a long time ago. Great sushi, service is great and the restaurant is great inside. Only thing difficult can be the parking in front for larger vehicles but well worth it.

    Yum!

Melts in your mouth sushi and a very nice staff! It was my first time dining there as I found them from reviews. So thought I'd leave my own

Friendly staff and a huge variety of sushi to choose from. I loved every roll that I ordered and the ahi poki was to die for! I can't wait to go back!

The sushi is skillfully made and the items are unique. You know the sushi restaurants that have the "standard" rolls you can find anywhere? This isn't it. We got two rolls but honestly I don't remember what they had in them. But they were pretty and very fresh! We also got the Bang Bang Shrimp which was excellent! The sauce is on the side so you actually get to taste the shrimp and the sauce had a nice Kick. Perfectly fried, well seasoned and fresh. We loved this!! You probably know places like these are generally good finds. :-) No exception here. It's kind of wild what they can do in their tiny kitchen. Aside from sushi, you can get stuff like hibachi, noodles, etc. I went with several rolls and vegetable tempura. Everything was good though not notably exceptional. However, the real gem here is the price point ... which hit as *reasonable* by today's inflation standards. Interior dining space only ... and that isn't much to speak of, but it's functional and holds the stream of customers they get. It seems like they do a lot of carryout orders. Our friend, who joined us and has lived in Roswell for decades, recommended it. I booked our reservation using Resy. Zest qualifies for the American Express Resy Credit, if you have a qualifying card. This is a casual joint. It's spacious, with a bar, dining room, and outdoor brick sidewalk patio. At 3:30pm on a Saturday, the bar was mostly full, and by the time we left around 5:00pm, the dining room had already gotten decently busy. This place fits in nicely with walkable downtown Roswell. $5 paid parking is available in a surface lot directly across the street from the restaurant. Here's what four of us had: Cocktails * Pretty in Purple ($15) - Empress 1908 Gin, triple sec, cranberry juice, yuzu juice, simple syrup, dehydrated lemon Mocktails * Strawberry Basil Fizz ($7) - fresh lemon juice, strawberry puree, fresh basil, club soda, lemon wedge Sushi - Specialty Rolls * Allyson Roll ($16) - shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber, topped with eel, spicy mayo, soy glaze, tempura flakes, masago * Super Crunch Roll ($14) - masago, tempura flakes, spicy mayo, topped with steamed shrimp, soy glaze Oysters * Raw Gulf Oysters (6 for $11) - cocktail sauce, fresh horseradish, mignonette sauce Small Plates Graze * Edamame ($6) with garlic (+$1.50) - steamed soybeans, sea salt * Parmesan Truffle Fries ($7) - wasabi mayo, ketchup Surf * Salmon Poke Crunch ($15) - diced salmon, avocado, yuzu tobiko, spicy mayo, green onions, wonton crisps Turf * Thai Lettuce Wraps ($14) - chopped chicken, water chestnuts, red bell peppers, red onions, sesame seeds, carrot nest, Thai plum sauce * C.A.B. The menu has a good variety of options and my wife and I appreciated the lighter and healthier dishes. I thought the oysters were a decent value. I wouldn't say this is a "proper" sushi or tapas restaurant, but the food is good for what it is, which I'd describe as Americanized casual. Megumi was our server and she took great care of us. The floor was sticky. Zest opened in 2011, so it's stood the test of time. A second location opened in Cary, North Carolina in 2024.

I was not disappointed at all. Getting here you have to worry about parking because it's not free parking. There are spots and places around but generally speaking you have to either do street, lot, or parking garage parking. The parking garage is a little bit further away so I would not suggest that but there is plenty of parking lot parking. I'm just saying this because you're going to have to walk no matter what happens. There's a lot basically across the street and a lot basically on the block next to it but they are around $5 to $10. I didn't have a reservation but I still went in and got seated immediately. We got a seat in the back of the restaurant where they make and prepare the sushi so that was a good view. It's very nice and very clean there and the service was great. Mario was a server and took really good care of the table. He was definitely a boon and I would have no problem with him waiting on the same table that I was at again! Super cool guy. Diablo roll - So the roll was very good and very tasty. It was a nice sized roll and it had a really good flavor to it. Would I get it again? I would. Ramen - The ramen was good. It had very good presentation and everything like that, the only thing I needed was to add a little razzle dazzle to it. So the ramen itself was savory but it didn't have a punch like I would like. So I just asked them for some chili oil and that took it right where it needed to be. If you don't like spiced then that's not applicable to you LOL. But I like savory and heat and this fixed everything and made it right with the world! I thought this was a really good place and I would love to go again. Actually. They have a couple of other rolls that I would like to try.
