We came here after we got married and they treated us so well with celebratory bubbles upon arrival. They placed us in a private booth and it was very nice atmosphere. Started with the tuna tartar that came with a quail and it was so good. We got a bunch of different roll and we really enjoyed all of them. All of the rolls were so good. I'd highly recommend making a reservation because seating is limited and it gets crowded everyday especially on Friday and Saturday. This restaurant is clean and the rolls came out fresh, one at a time which I loved. We started with a salad with ginger dressing and some edamame. Both appetizers were delicious! We also ordered 4 rolls. The Kenzo roll, Caterpillar Roll, Volcano Roll and Kyoto Roll. My personal favorite was the Kyoto Roll and I requested the salmon on top to be fully cooked (not a problem). I have been wanting to come here for sushi and it did not disappoint!! We came here on a Monday night for a friend's birthday! There was plenty of parking but I know it can fill up because it was busy in the Maxwell. We made a reservation on resy and we were sat at a table soon as we arrived. We started with a bottle of wine- a Pinot noir and it was great with the sushi's. We got 8 piece nigiri and 3 rolls- spicy tuna crispy rice, sakura and Kyoto roll. We got a salad with the nigiri and the ginger dressing was so fresh and good. Everything was delicious. I love the various nigiri and the rolls are all good in their own way. My friend treated me to a wonderful meal with great service and a little birthday surprise at the end! The area is very small and kind of cramped so definitely make a reservation. I gave up boozy drinks for Lent so they gave me non boozy options so I had an iced green tea with simple syrup on the side to add sweetness. I've eaten at Lily Sushi Bar 2 times and have really enjoyed each visit. The inside is cozy and servers are always nice. I've been during lunch time so not sure how busy it can get but I prefer to be there when it's quiet to sit at the bar. I always get a different roll that the server recommends to figure out my preferences and decided I'm not a fan of a bunch of crunch stuff in top of sushi, it's too distracting and weird. I came here with my sister. Food is a bit expensive for what you get, compared to other top Sashimi restaurants. What i don't like is when I say "Thank you". The waitstaff is supposed to say "you are welcome". Not "No problem". It's not proper response. It is very low class. Not good mannerism. You work for a fine restaurant and you respond as if you are working at home depot. Even people in Home depot respond saying "you are welcome", when someone says Thank You. You only say "no problem" if i ask you if it is a problem to bring me more tea. Anyway that shows you the kind of training communication between upper management and staff. Popped over here for lunch. They were super busy , which was to be expected. A bit noisy but nothing too bothersome. Grabbed a seat at the actual bar because the sushi bar was full. The length of time it took for that order was ridiculous and I had to ask somebody what exactly was going on because my waitress disappeared. I could see over to the sushi bar orders were piling up but the chefs were just shooting the breeze - there is no sense of urgency to get anybody their food . There was a gentleman also sitting at the bar who had waited 30 minutes for his lunch special it just didn't make a whole lot of sense. One thing I think is that sushi should be served as quickly as possible. Just a little critique because I'm bougie living in LA for 20 years I ate sushi 2 x a week ... Spicy tuna should be made with mayo and siracha! Katsuya in Studio City, CA has some of the best spicy tuna on crispy rice I've ever had in my life , I beg of you please look up that recipe! They bring out warm towels for you to wipe your hands, they gave us a little basket for my mom's purse, and even unwrapped our napkins and put them in our laps! Lily Sushi Bar is my new favorite sushi spot! The signature nigiri is like nothing I've ever had before. The toro is so creamy and melt in your mouth and the seared salmon belly was delicious. The restaurant is on the smaller side and the interior tables are a little close together so it provides an intimate setting. During peak hours it can get a little loud depending on your neighbors. Our waiter was amazing and very attentive and gave us time to place a few orders because we couldn't make a decision. The parking lot is free but a little small so be aware! We were handed warm hand towels after ordering. The food was served fairly quickly and the server was super helpful with making choices. We ended up getting the Sakura Roll which was absolutely delicious. Might be up there on the favorites list. The salmon hand rolls and salmon skin roll were nothing exceptional but the fish was so fresh and these were perfect for filler rolls. The nigiri was also super fresh and delicious. That said, the presentation wasn't quite as refined this time, and four out of the eight pieces I ordered had loosely packed rice that fell apart too easily. We love him lol we will be back for him alone but the fish was super fresh! Every single signature nigiri we had was amazing. Every roll we had was perfection. I, as the birthday girl, am so pleased! My host opined that the usual staff and manager were missing as they were opening a second branch. I ordered the 15-piece sashimi again, but only 12 pieces were delivered at first. The addition pieces were coming right up, but only appeared after we asked. We also had to ask for the wasabi/ginger separately. The fish was very good. I noticed that they had real wasabi (not the green horseradish) on the menu, but wanted $8 for a serving. In my view, a restaurant that aspires to being top level needs to use the real thing. Lily's has quickly become my new favorite sushi spot in the Alpharetta area. It's literally always packed, even for lunch, so it's recommended to book reservations in advance. I got lucky this most recent time and was able to walk in with a friend during lunch on a Monday and we got two seats at the sushi bar. Sometimes I even like that better than a table. When I say this is some of the best sushi I've ever had, I truly mean it. They offer the highest quality ingredients and fish flown in straight from Japan. Even their ginger dressing on their house salad is out of this world. I really tried to branch out and try some new things, and the King of the Sea roll was probably my favorite. First time I've tried lobster and it was delicious! The roll has lobster tempura, light mayo, cucumber topped with shrimp, snow crab avocado and eel sauce. We also ordered the Caterpillar roll, Sakura roll, and the Spicy Tuna Tartar which had quail egg on the side to pour over top. They also make sure that customers have an elevated experience by constantly coming by to clear out plates for more elbow room, refresh your water, clean the surfaces in between dishes, and they even lay your napkin on your lap for you. Overall, I had a lovely experience and thought it was worth every penny. I honestly do not have one complaint and would recommend this sushi bar to any other fellow sushi lover! read more

I had omakase in different high end restaurants like Hawakaya. Though i loved their experiences, it's more once in a lifetime experience due to price.But for Lily, their price seemed more reasonable to me. Just enough food for me. I would definitely return for another omakase. Of course they have very fresh sashimi and nigiri but Their best quality of their nigiri and apps are how they season their food!! Every time I go, i am just mesmerized by their combination of toppings and seasoning on their foods. I usually dont order scallop due to freshness but theirs surprised me. Their price is not cheap but if you try their food, you wont regret having their food. Also huge compliment to our server. I am really bad with names but hands down best server I had. Our receipt said Kelly. We never had to ask for anything, she knew what we were short of and served. foods were cleaned right away and serviced right away. We dont want too much time in between meals and it was served perfectly like she was keep eyeing our table. She made all this experience so personable. Made huge difference in a restaurant experience. I wanted to visit again in September because the 2 hours were so pleasing!! Our daughter who was visiting from Texas discovered Lily's on Tik Tock and said it had great reviews!! Everyone enjoyed their lunch special which was a choice of a couple different rolls. We chose the Shrimp Roll and the California Roll and they were delish!! Our son-in-law had a plate with 4 different Sashimi - scallops, tuna, a white fish (not sure what kind) and salmon. Tuna is usually his fav but this tuna he didn't care for as much. He seemed to think it was more fatty than he is use to enjoying. However all the other fish he thoroughly liked! I started an appetizer with Thinly Sliced Yellowtail, which was good but not that shareable or a lot like I imagined with going to other places. I ordered the Sakura roll which was amazing but was not full as the roll was not a bigger, thicker roll but I decided to try the Kyoto roll which I didn't enjoy as much. I only had water with lemon, and they came with the bill and then shortly we were asked to leave because they had reservations and people waiting. I've never dealt with that before and wish that was told before dining there as that changed my whole view and experience.
