    Miso soup and house salad
    Chandrika R.

Came for lunch on a Monday. It's located in a strip mall and doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's clean and spacious inside. I had the sashimi lunch and added sushi rice. The salad was tasty and the miso soup was really comforting. I was surprised by how much fish was in the sashimi lunch and how great the quality is for less than $20! The salmon and white tuna were standouts, but everything was super fresh. The staff were very friendly and really appreciated that I enjoyed my meal. I will definitely be back!

Solid choice if you're in the area and craving sushi. Service is always friendly and quick. I've ordered takeout several times and it's always simple and ready when I arrive. I recently dined in and the service was just as fast! It's not huge but there are a few tables and a long bar with seats that wraps around the most of the dining space. I sat at the bar which is my seating preference anyhow. Overall it's not a fancy place but it seems relatively clean. There's plenty of parking spots too. If you're a resident in Alpharetta or a surrounding city like Roswell or Sandy springs we are lucky to have a ton of great sushi restaurants. This is one of my favorites. For the service, convenience, taste and price you really can't go wrong here.

Great local place for the mid-week, once-a-week sushi break. Kids bento box is the deal! For my picky little one, he loves the oranges. For my older son who actually eats, shrimp teriyaki is the way to go. And then, I get *all the sushi rolls*. I've had so many and like them all. Staff is super friendly and always happy to accommodate. They treat my boys so kind and get them set up with "kids chopsticks". It's a joy to dine at JP!

I went there as my team lunch (we go there quite a lot actually and today I finally decided to write why). Their service is super fast (literally done with our meal and bill in 45 mins total). The food is amazing. Loved the overall vibe and ambiance of the place. It's on an average price range, about $12-$14 per person. I ordered a binto box which had sushi, salmon, rice and a lot of other stuff (took half of it for To-go). It came with side soup.

So this was my first time at JP Sushi and I can confidently say that this is the best Sushi place I've been to thus far! I found the shop off a quick Yelp search for sushi nearby (Roswell area) and this spot was recommended. First, I like the environment of the restaurant, it's like a combination of a family restaurant and a sports bar, but it's not chaotic. Jean & I decided to sit at the bar and were able to look at the chefs preparing all the different rolls. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, whenever we needed anything they quickly responded and make us feel welcomed. A1 service indeed. Now for the food, the menu was pretty diverse with the kind of sushi rolls they had, so it took me a while to decide what I would get. They also have another options for food (I.e chicken cutlets, rice bowls, noodles, etc) in case you want other things. Either way, I decided on the Long Horn roll and Jean got the Route 66 roll, both deep fried rolls. AMAZING! The quality of the roll was fresh and delicious. They fired them to perfection and gave us more of a portion then we expected. Also, while we were waiting, the waiter brought us some fired fish pieces, kind of like a appetizer, free of charge! Then afterwards, when she was clearing out dishes, she brought us a orange to share, kind like a dessert. I never knew oranges were what I needed after sushi, but now I know it is! Overall the experience, food, and service was all 10/10.

Been a few times now and still working through the menu. I've been driving this place for years and finally stopped, should have tried it a long time ago. Great sushi, service is great and the restaurant is great inside. Only thing difficult can be the parking in front for larger vehicles but well worth it.

    Yum!

Melts in your mouth sushi and a very nice staff! It was my first time dining there as I found them from reviews. So thought I'd leave my own

Friendly staff and a huge variety of sushi to choose from. I loved every roll that I ordered and the ahi poki was to die for! I can't wait to go back!

Lunch specials taken home were simply amazing! So much food! I continue being a fan of JP!

To be honest? The outside is not much (besides the cute decorations on the tree) it looks like…read moreyou'd get mediocre food here. But the moment you walk in, everything changes. The low lighting was wonderful for my sensitive eyes. The smell was clean, but not too strong. They were open late, which was wonderful for me and my friends, for we were craving ramen at around 9:30. After we were seated, the service was quick (but that could be due to the late hours.) The first server seemed a bit quiet, but like a wonderful person. Our second server was no doubt one of the sweetest people I have ever met. We had a wonderful conversation about how the small restaurants are always wonderful. She was radiating positive but gentle vibes, so I felt my nerves slip away. By her, I was informed that the owner was usually in (most likely he wasn't there then because of the hour), which only proved that this food had and will always be cooked with love. And after my friends mentioned I was writing a review, she was eager to hear it. At the time it was just notes I took, but she was so pleased and that entire night I received so much praise. I had ordered the strawberry ramune, in which I was most shocked at how it tasted like true strawberry. But the lychee...it was on a whole other level. I had never had anything lychee flavored, but I felt as if I was soaring in the sky and diving in the deepest ocean. Then for starters we had edamame and pork gyoza. The edamame was well salted, and I had found usually edamame is either too salted, or not salted enough, but this edamame stayed in the sweet middle and tasted like it was straight from the Earth itself. The gyoza is most wonderfully cooked, and it feels as if I was floating upon the clouds, looking down on the world. The flavors were subtle, but so delicious. I got the spicy noodles, (but I have forgotten the name), The noodles are creamy, and I can only describe this feeling close akin to an enchanted forest. The pork was meaty, and the fat is easy to seperate if you are not for the fatty part. But then...the broth. In an instant I am shocked, frozen in pure awe at the flavors that danced in my tongue, and that most wonderful burn of spice, no doubt, they knew how to use spices perfectly. Overall, the ramen felt like what one would call a home, warm and comforting, as the tastes embrace you with open arms. With the atmosphere and taste combined (as well as the wonderful Japanese music that played), I felt transported to my own world, one without the stress of life and worries of future. Just great food, and a smile on your face. Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. No doubt deserves praise, and it almost makes me sad how unnoticed this hidden gem is. The noodles would soak in the flavora of spice so perfectly, I found myself addicted. For a desert, we ordered strawberry and mango mochis. The wonderful server brought us multiple, because she knew what our stomachs -satisfied, but not full- craved. The Strawberry mochi was wonderful, and tastes refreshingly authentic. And it felt as if I was just a slight cloud which reflected a rainbow. And now, the mango mochi. I'm not a mango person, but this tasted like no less than a sunset, with the beauty, the feeling, the overall bliss. I leave with the most wonderful taste in my mouth, and an undeniable want for more. I must thank all of the workers who made this place so special, for this is the first time I've had proper ramen, and this was no doubt the best provider for that satisfying first bite.

Aside from sushi, you can get stuff like hibachi, noodles, etc. I went with several rolls and vegetable tempura. Everything was good though not notably exceptional. However, the real gem here is the price point ... which hit as *reasonable* by today's inflation standards. Interior dining space only ... and that isn't much to speak of, but it's functional and holds the stream of customers they get. It seems like they do a lot of carryout orders. I was not disappointed at all. Getting here you have to worry about parking because it's not free parking. There are spots and places around but generally speaking you have to either do street, lot, or parking garage parking. The parking garage is a little bit further away so I would not suggest that but there is plenty of parking lot parking. I'm just saying this because you're going to have to walk no matter what happens. There's a lot basically across the street and a lot basically on the block next to it but they are around $5 to $10. I didn't have a reservation but I still went in and got seated immediately. We got a seat in the back of the restaurant where they make and prepare the sushi so that was a good view. It's very nice and very clean there and the service was great. Mario was a server and took really good care of the table. He was definitely a boon and I would have no problem with him waiting on the same table that I was at again! Super cool guy. Diablo roll - So the roll was very good and very tasty. It was a nice sized roll and it had a really good flavor to it. Would I get it again? I would. Ramen - The ramen was good. It had very good presentation and everything like that, the only thing I needed was to add a little razzle dazzle to it. So the ramen itself was savory but it didn't have a punch like I would like. So I just asked them for some chili oil and that took it right where it needed to be. If you don't like spiced then that's not applicable to you LOL. But I like savory and heat and this fixed everything and made it right with the world! I thought this was a really good place and I would love to go again. Actually. They have a couple of other rolls that I would like to try.

There are so many thoughtful little details in the décor that make it feel special. Every server and staff member was genuinely kind and impressively hospitable, offering a level of service that honestly surpasses some higher-end restaurants I've been to. Now, the food. Their ginger salad might be the best I've ever had. They use romaine and green leaf lettuce instead of the typical iceberg, which gives it far more flavor and texture. The dressing was smooth and creamy--not broken, watery, or overly acidic like so many ginger dressings tend to be. The miso soup also had more depth of flavor than most versions I've tried. A bonus surprise: they have more lunch options than what's listed online, and the in-person prices are actually cheaper. So don't rely on the website--come in and look for yourself. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and sushi roll combo. They offer a generous selection of rolls to choose from, and I went with the Alaskan roll. The filling was plentiful and well-balanced. The rice on the outside was slightly thin in a few bites where the seaweed peeked through, but the overall flavor was excellent. The chicken teriyaki was outstanding--juicy, tender, perfectly seared, and full of rich teriyaki flavor. I also appreciated the unexpected cold bean sprout salad on the side, which added a nice contrast to the meal. Overall, this was a wonderful lunch at a very fair price--only $15. I'd happily return and highly recommend stopping in rather than making assumptions based on appearances or online listings.
