They argued that there was a 3 days cancellation policy; this 3 months after my 3 year contract has ended. I have to yell for them to promise a refund for only 1 month. I am holding my breath. If this goes on, I will take them to court.

I scheduled for the 2-4pm time frame for someone to come and give me a free estimate, and two guys showed up at 1:53pm. I was surprised, because I was told I would get a text, but I didn't. It didn't work in their system for some reason, I saw him try in front of me. But it was a pleasant surprise, I was available! Their names were Elmer and Kingston. They assessed the door, told me what they would have to do to fix it, gave me the honest price point, and asked me whether I wanted to hold off or have it done immediately. I decide to just get it done, and so I asked them to hold on for me to secure my cats so they wouldn't run outside. They literally had to take the door off of the hinges! They used that time to go grab tools and a patiently waited for me to let them know when my cats were secured. The job didn't take that long, I didn't actually time it.... Maybe about 40 minutes? They were efficient and really did their thing. So now, my door is fixed and I'm ready to go on vacation. They aren't the closest geographically, but they do serve the entire area. Have had them since I bought my house 20+ years ago. Previous owners had them and the house was…read morealready configured so I just kept what was in place. One of the service techs walked me through replacing the battery in my system on Friday since it had come up with a failure warning and it was beeping incessantly. Rather than waiting 6 days for a tech to arrive, she suggested I take a look locally for one or buy online. Since Home Depot didn't have one I bought this one on Amazon for $17. Arrived next morning. Bazinga!!! The security company was charging $40 for theirs plus a $70 service visit. They're only two terminal connectors so it was easy enough to install and $17 beats $110 by anybody's math. Takes less than 2 seconds to install. I had some difficulty with everything working properly once the battery was connected but I was able to call into the monitoring station and have a service tech paged to call me back. He did, and was able to help me troubleshoot the connectivity issue. Overall it's a pretty easy company to deal with. They can be a little difficult to reach sometimes (esp after hours) because I don't think they're infrastructure is like other companies. I get the impression they're a fairly small family run operation. When you call during the week for billing our other questions you get the main office personnel who are always helpful and friendly. There is no prompt in their voicemail tree for TECH SUPPORT so you have to go in through monitoring, and be transferred (or if during business hours someone from the main office will transfer you). Then you listen to more voicemail prompts and select one for somebody to call you back. They definitely call you back anytime your alarm trips, for any reason. Home, then your cell if no answer. It's $75/quarter from monitoring which is on par with most other companies in this space so overall it gets the job done. No real complaints.

If, like me, you are providing the cameras or NVR, he helps you understand where your part ends and his begins.
