We bought 5000 worth of furniture, one piece was back ordered 1 month. When it came in we had decided to not use that piece and wanted to return it and get something else. We never even picked it up and they refused to return it. Even though we planned on other purchases and it never left their location. The owner/manager does not care about customers. They will treat you like crap. The rest of our house we will be going elsewhere. We would have paid the restocking fee and bought another 3000 that day, they did not care. I can't say enough good things about this company. Normally I shop either online or at the national stores, however, being new to this area I decided to give "local" a try. The furniture quality is very good which would normally be enough to get me to come back occasionally..............the customer service is why I'll be a JR Furniture customer for life. The sales person Ed L. was friendly, knowledgeable and went out of his way to meet my needs. The office manager Terra was courteous, helpful and very pleasant, she too went out of her way to make sure I was satisfied. These people are why I'll always come back. I can get good product at most middle to high end furniture companies but this quality of customer service is exceptional and exceptionally rare. read more

When I originally came here I was just looking for 4 chairs to match an old table I was given. The guy that was "helping" me was just pointing at anything he could think of... even when I said I was looking for darker wooded chairs. I asked about chairs that I could bring home that day as I was supposed to have company over for dinner. He brought me over to some chairs but there was not a set of 4. The chairs were COVERED in thick dust. He pointed out a chair and proceeded to tell me "oh it's darker than it looks, just cause of all the dust on it." So I had to wipe off the dust myself to see the actual color... (who buys furniture without knowing the actual color?) So gross... and there were 4 people just standing around at the counters not doing anything... Their prices are pretty good, which is the only reason I continued to buy through them. I talked myself into get a whole dining set, so I started looking around. I asked the man "helping" me what the different tables were made of since there's no descriptions on them. He knew one of them, the rest he said he didn't know. That's it. Didn't go to look, or ask anyone he just said he didn't know. So I brought my husband back with me the next day and decided on a set. Again, asked the man what the table was made of (it had a marble look but it definitely wasn't marble so I wanted to know what it was) he finally went over and asked, and gave us an answer. So we said yes, we'll take this one. We were told it would take about a month due to COVID to get the table and chairs delivered to the warehouse and the bench would take longer than that. Which we understood and accepted. I asked if they could give us a call when they at least had the table and chairs. We were given a slight discount because we paid right then and there. He asked if we wanted to pay $100 for the delivery fee, and we said no. He failed to explain that everything would not be put together and that is what the fee is really covering. But whatever. We pay for the set and leave. A month later no call about the set, so I called. They told me table and chairs were there but not the bench and that we could pick them up at anytime. So we came in on Sunday to pick up our stuff. The same man that's been "helping" us the whole time was there and told us that everything was there including the bench, but no warehouse guys were there (and are never there on weekends) so we couldn't actually pick up anything. After we were told we could pick up anytime. So the next day I came and picked up my stuff (had to take two trips) and the first trip I had to wait 20 minutes for them to finally load up the guy in front of me... which took all of 2 minutes... I just don't think that this particular store knows anything about good customer service. I did go in to just simply state my experience and Kristen, was very nice and listened with understanding. Uneducated sales rep selling furniture. Purchased a couch being told I could get it one way and when couch arrived that was not the case. Was unable to return couch due to "custom order". When questioned order I was then told " You should know that customizing features of couch wasn't possible" Would not take couch back also due to "poor choices made" by me, the customer. The choice that was made was based off information given by sells rep!! Talked to the Sells Manager who pretty much called me a liar and was rude the entire conversation! Will never buy a piece of furniture or refer a friend/family member to this business!! read more

Had to select a rating but, a one star rating is too high for this store. My disaster started in February 2015, when I purchase a "Highest Quality Leather" Stanton Power Reclining Sofa, matching Power Reclining Love Seat and matching Rocker Recliner, along with coffee table, power end tables and area rug ($7,000.00+). I also purchased a GBS Warranty ($450.00) for the "Highest Quality Leather" living room set. This was all delivered in mid-March 2015. The end of July 2015, the leather on the sofa was showing a lot of wear, white spots were appearing. I took pictures, and immediately went back to JR Furniture and asked them what they were going to do. They assured me that they would take care of the problem. After weekly phone calls, they finally sent someone in mid-November to look at the problem and "fix" it. A man came to my house with a stain pen and was going to "color" the spots. I told him I would not accept that as fix to the problem and called JR back to get some kind of resolution to the problem. Finally in late January 2016 they came and picked up the couch to have it repaired, telling me at the time it would be 2 weeks and I would have my sofa returned. After 2 weeks passed I started calling them again. I was told that they didn't know where my sofa was, they couldn't find it. Finally in mid-March they told me they were just going to replace the sofa. I agreed and towards the end of March they delivered a sofa, but when they unwrapped it, I noticed white spots in the leather where it appeared to be defective. I told the delivery guys I would not accept it. They contacted the store and were told to bring it back and that there was one sofa left at the store and I could come check that one out. When I went to check it out, again problems were noted with that sofa. I told them that I just wanted my money back. I was told that I should have bought the warranty. I had bought it, I had paper work showing that I had paid for the warranty but had never received the written warranty. The owner would not give me my money back but would exchange the sofa for other items. I really didn't need anything, but choose some items. This was done on April 3, 2016. I was told these would be delivered in 2 to 4 weeks. When I called 5 weeks later to see when the delivery would be made, I was told it would be that Thursday. On Wednesday when I hadn't received a delivery time, I called and was told they (JR Furniture) didn't have anything in their records showing I was due a delivery. I went directly to the store to find out what was going on. The man I spoke to said they had no record of me purchasing any furniture other than a dining room set. The young man (Damon) who delivered my furniture came out of the back and informed the other man that I had purchased the furniture and that I did have a claim. Damon tried to help, but the owner or owner's son, Paul Rai, would not come out and talk. I went home and the next day I went out with my original copies of the paperwork proving I had purchased the furniture. My brother went back with me. Damon came back out to help. Paul Rai only came out to talk (?) with me after my brother threatened to get a lawyer. Paul Rai came out and said they had no paper work showing I had bought it there, I told him I had the paper work and he wanted me to give it to him. He started yelling at me and I yelled back. He slammed his hands down on the table and continued to yell at me because I wouldn't give it to him. Told him that I would make copies but he wasn't getting my originals. Damon made the copies. Paul Rai said that they would check to see if the items were there. They could not find them at first. They finally located 3 of the 5 replacement items. I informed Paul Rai that I also had never received the paper work on the warranty I paid $450 for and that I wanted those papers also. He agreed and called his employees stupid and thieves stating that someone pocketed the warranty money. (Not sure how that could happen since it was all written down on the original paper work and I paid by debit card). The items they had were delivered that afternoon and I was told the other 2 items would be ordered that week and delivered in 1-2 weeks. After 2 weeks these items were not delivered so my brother contacted them and again he was told that they didn't have any paper work showing the original purchase or the replacement agreement. Again provided them with copies and was told that it would be approximately 2 weeks for delivery. My brother went back out about 3 weeks later, again was told they didn't have paper work, so again went back out with copies and gave it to them. I finally received the remaining 2 items and warranty paper work on August 4, 2016. Over 1 year since the problem was brought to their attention.
