4 years later- our vinyl flooring is cracking. They took the easy way out and didn't make sure our floors were completely level before putting the flooring in. After having furniture on it, the weight has cause the planks to crack. REALLY wish we would've hired someone else to do the job right. According to my contractor, Acquired Home Remodeling, LLC dba or fka Acquired Designs and Remodeling, owned by Phillip Brown, used this company as a subcontractor for the bathroom cabinets and installation. I had these installed about 1.5 years ago. There were issues right off the bat with this company, but in the spirit of trying to be flexible and understanding and get the remodel completed, we worked through those ... Fast forward to the first of June 2025 (about 1.5 years after original install) I noticed a clear defect in the cabinets. I called and spoke to a very polite and professional gentleman at NuLook as my contractor told me I had to call them directly to get any resolve. Unfortunately, the answer I received was that all labor and materials were warrantied for 1 year only. Warning any of you considering buying cabinets from this company. Their product, or at least the product purchased from them by my contractor is no good - and it is warrantied for one year - installation, I understand, but for the actual cabinets, it doesn't make sense unless it's a crap product, which apparently is what I have installed in my expensive bathroom remodel ... and these are in a bathroom that is rarely used. Extremely disappointed with my contractor as well as this company. The pics are of the two areas that are compromised.... the side panel, which is right at eye level has a clear nail mark ... the nail has breached the side panel. The drawer front has an odd crack right at the seam where the shaker part is. I actually noticed that over a year ago but let it go as it wasn't right at eye level. ***Don't make the mistake I made***Report all defects and issues IMMEDIATELY or you will be stuck, like I am, until I can have these poorly constructed cabinets replaced*** Please note - I don't like to post negative reviews (see the reviews I have posted - I try to only post positive reviews). As much as I would like to give this a higher review, I cannot with a good conscience. They installed a counter top in my bathroom and it was cracked within hours multiple times. I am not sure if it is due to being installed improperly or just bad quality material. They said they would cover the cost because they wanted me to be a happy customer. They never could get it right so in the end they had me choose a material other than what I wanted and to this day I do not like it. It just looks terrible and very cheap quality. Then when it came time to pay the balance, it was substantially higher than they had originally quoted. I think I ended up paying for the broken countertops as well as the one I ended up with. I think they get sub par quality materials and when they don't hold up to being installed and crack they stick the customer with the bill. Now I have a new bathroom with several issues as well as a countertop that I dislike every time I look at it. So disappointing to spend thousands and thousands of dollars to end up with a disappointing bathroom that had potential to be beautiful. This review is overdue. I was holding off on writing it hoping someone would return the dozen calls, emails to Manny, Shannon and Apollo. I blamed my busy schedule for not being more aggressive. But I finally had one of the bigger issues resolved by another company and after spending 4 digits to do so here it is! I hired Nulook in August 2021 to do some remodeling. I had a couple of better quotes but I loved their concept...pick everything at their shop, pay one price and they coordinate it all. First red flag should have been the pay schedule. They wanted 50% up front to order everything, 25% to start work and 25% to finish. So they had 75% of my money before ever coming out. I learned later that is not the norm. Also speaks to a lack of motivation as the project took 2 months longer than expected with a crew coming out mostly one day a week. The tile installer went MIA midway through so they had to get someone else to complete it and then they ran out of tile and had to wait while more was ordered so apparently that wasn't measured correctly beforehand. We move in and slowly start seeing lots of imperfections. A lot of sloppy paintwork, discoloration of ALL grout both in flooring and in fireplace. Tiles with chips in them that were GLUED back on. Paint was dumped in our rocks and bushes, killing a section of bushes that we had to pull out. Cabinet shelving was bowed and most cabinets are not lined up cleanly. They also painted all of the outlet and light cover switches down which has been fun when we've needed to work on them. On top of that we were missing a 6 foot level, a utility step ladder, a push broom and dustpan and a 50 foot outdoor extension cord. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt that they were mistakenly taken but I now think that the crew saw a vacant home as an opportunity to help themselves because 5 items is overly suspect. After 8 months of reaching out inconsistently (again I blamed myself but this business does not return messages after the first or second call which would have been helpful) I was finally able to get them back out and they addressed 90% of the paint issues while making a couple more messes but whatever, I was just happy they showed. At that appt I was told new shelves would be ordered and they would schedule another visit to bring them and they would paint the grout lines and knock out the rest of the issues. Thats the appt I never got. So stuck with bowed shelving, uneven cabinetry and uneven grout color among other issues. These workers take no pride in their work or are just not skilled enough for the job they are doing. We had a loose electrical outlet on our island and so I asked that be repaired on the return visit. They caulked it. So now I have a loose outlet with cracked caulking around it. We also had some flooding from our kitchen sink due to a too short pipe in the drain line which I also paid a plumber to repair. Weve had issues with our carpets wrinkling and also some weird gaps in the padding. I hired a company to stretch the carpet and he believes they knee kicked it instead of power stretching. But pulling the carpet up to address the gaps...they never glued the padding down! So it moved when they stretched the carpet. Not to mention the padding is a modge podge of different colors like they used remnants from other jobs. Which brings up another issue I had. I had requested an upgraded Mohawk padding. I remember it was pink for Susan B Komen and Manny explained it was stain resistant, cushy and durable, perfect for a messy toddler. But when I walked on the carpet when the job was complete I noticed it did not feel cushy. Manny had no recollection of me wanting the upgraded padding so I ended up with a basic padding. However when I asked if it was at least stain resistant he said it was. After seeing it I now know that was a lie. It is as basic as it gets according to the new installer. He also said the carpet seams were not done correctly as we have very visible seams. Not even 2 years later the carpet is starting to show considerable wear and idk if its bc of the terrible padding or if we got suckered on terrible carpet as well. I kick myself for not being more diligent in asking qs and double checking what was going on but this was my first remodel. I put so much trust in Nulook and feel like they don't care enough to make things right or dont have the skilled manpower to have things done right the first time. The only thing I think came out amazing was the countertops but again the workers did not excercise care and cover them while working. We would come by after they had left to all of the tools and equipment on them so no surprise finding a couple of gouges in the gorgeous quartz. I will never recommend this company to anyone or my clients. Which is sad considering I was so excited at the beginning of this all I sent them 3 client in the first month. First off, I'd like to start by saying that I read all of the Yelp reviews before hiring Nulook. I was a little wary due to some of what people had to say but a friend of mine had used them on a couple of their home renovations and swore by their work. Once we began to go back and forth with the estimate and scheduling I could understand some people's issues with their customer service, specifically just one person in the front office. However, halfway through our renovation, I learned that she is no longer with the company which should alleviate a lot of concerns other people have had. Now onto the actual job. The pricing was extremely fair as they were able to come under all of the other quotes that we received. Once we started work, I'm not going to say that we didn't run into a few hiccups and delays but that is to be expected with any home renovation. What stood out to me was working with the project manager, Louis. Louis comes with years of experience in construction and it really showed in the way that he handled his crew and us as clients. He was always available to speak to us, day or night, weekday or weekend. Anytime there was anything we were slightly unhappy with or unsure about he was quick to find a solution to make us happy and make sure the completed job was "perfect". And he delivered each time. He never made us feel like we were asking too much and was always happy to accommodate. The end result was exactly what we wanted and more. Their work was beautiful and we are extremely happy with our home. I am giving this company 5 stars because even with a couple of hiccups and delays along the way, we were never concerned about how the end product would look and Louis' dedication to making sure we got everything we asked for. This place came as a referral from a friend. I was hesitant at first after reading some of the reviews. The work done was phenomenal. My tiles were the super long ones and the other contractors even told me they are not comfortable with it as they break easily. They were completely level and the grout was perfect. (My brother's brand new home's tiles aren't even as nice.) I was able to rent out my house $200 more than my neighbor's because of the renovations. Here's the reason why I took a star off: The installer ended up MIA for 3 days and did not finish as scheduled. It almost gave me a heart attack because I just did not know if he was gonna show up. I had to call daily to follow up. Eventually Manny took care of the project and the issues with the installer for me. He was giving me an update by the end of each work day so we know what was going on. read more

UPDATE #2: I was asked to remove my review, and I will not be doing that. However I have updated my rating to more accurately reflect my experience with NuLook. Regarding pricing: -Electrician was $375, that included probably less than $50 in parts. Seriously inflated pricing. -My invoice states 1 W-1242, 1 W-1542, and 2 W-3042. These are upper cabinets with a height of 42 inches. I paid for 42" height cabinets, however 40" uppers were installed. I never received a price adjustment. Regarding quality: -Box installation is not great, numerous cabinets are not square, making the shelving unstable. I've had to install shelf liner to help secure the dishes. This also helps cover up the many dings that occurred during installation. -I have permanent damage to my new floors by the workers, in the kitchen and stairs. -Yes the exterior damage was resolved with replacement parts at no financial cost to me, over multiple visits and I was provided some touch-up paint if I need in future. I picked up the last of the replacement parts at the store. At this point, I didn't want them in my home again. All of this could have been avoided if the order was placed and installed correctly to begin with. In general: -I lost count the number of visits were made to complete the job because of being unprepared with materials. I would get the 'construction' excuse. Or in the case of the electrician, he knew what the job was and didn't bring what he needed to do it. He decided to go to Home Depot, and ended up having to come back the next day. Poor planning all around and I had to accommodate with my schedule. During all this, I was trying to decide if it's worth it to go back to NuLook for cabinets in my laundry closet, I'd wanted them to match all the other cabinets. But no, it was a huge inconvenient hassle, awful, stressful experience, and I don't want to risk more permanent damage to my home, so I will never go back to NuLook, nor do I recommend their services. read more

Manny and Eduardo kept me informed as to what was going to be done and they went above and beyond what needed to be rebuilt in my kitchen that was partially torn out for remediation. I was really concerned since my kitchen is almost 25 years old and just couldn't imagine that it would look exactly how it needed to be. Manny and Eduardo were patient with the numerous questions and concerns I had. Eduardo made one of my drawers that never really worked well, open and close so smoothly. Cabinet doors were aligned well and the shelves inside the cabinets were level and worked smoothly. I am grateful for all of the work that they did to make my kitchen like new again. I reached out to several businesses regarding a flooring estimate on June 6th. They were very responsive and I got someone to come to my home the following week on a Friday to fit my schedule. There was a scheduling conflict between the guy doing the estimate and the lady in the office. After several phone calls we worked out the scheduling for the same day. I was told by the estimator that he'd get me an estimate by the following week Tuesday-Wednesday. Later that day I went to their showroom and encountered the guy who did the estimate. I picked up some samples and brought them home and decided on the product. Two weeks later, I still hadn't heard from anyone, so I called and left a voicemail and I didn't receive a call back. I also called the estimator on the phone he called me on when he came to my house to do the measure and left a message and no call back. I later texted the number as well and no reply. Two weeks later I called and the guy (estimator) answered and he pretended to be someone else. I told him I hadn't heard back and he said he wasn't sure why it wasn't completed but he would work on it and call me back. I messaged them through the Yelp messages that we initiated communication about not hearing back from anyone on getting an estimate. Again no answer. Today is July 21st and I didn't hear back from anyone by any method. I have since gotten other estimates and have purchased my product and am scheduled for my flooring install. Going off of the reviews here I would have liked to do business with them but this is unacceptable. Not sure what the issue was but at this point I'm happy it happened prior to even doing any business with them. Beware. read more

I work for a living so I don't have availability in the middle of a weekday like that and they're not able to give me a price estimate on my $20,000 job. I'd probably look somewhere else There employees are not wearing masks and are not social distancing in any way. If you want covid shop here. These guys and people like them are the reason we need to wear masks again and more people are continuing to contract the virus. Wear the mask. Stop pretending it's a big deal. Such a shame this place and Manny wasted half of one of my days off. We asked if they had a certain backsplash to which he said oh yeah definitely, come in and get it. We go right away as we needed it to complete a project the next day. He shows us a sample of what it looks like, we say we will take it. He had us pay the money up front and then told us to go to the back of the warehouse and Robert would bring out the slab for us. 1/2 hour later we see them all frantically searching for it, manny even showed us another slab that we didn't want. Ultimately said he would call us if they could find it so we could leave. He never called. We had to call back and be told by another associate that it was never in stock to begin with. This place is an absolute disgrace. If I could select no stars or negative stars...I would. My wife and I, have been lied to throughout this entire process, which ultimately resulted in the stairs portion of the project being unfinished and butchered. We chose to install laminate floors with a carpet runner (reference pictures below) At the start of the project, the installer cut our stairs down to the point that you couldn't step on them comfortably. I expressed my concerns and they assured me they would and on to the stairs somehow and extend the stairs back to their original size. Not only did this not happen, the laminate along the sides were nailed in, and the nails were extremely visible which looked awful especially on near black laminate wood, and the carpet runner isn't secure on the stairs so the edge of the stairs aren't stable and the carpet comes out of the sides every time you walk on it. Eric, the foreman for the wood crew, told us "I don't know why my guy did it that way" and that he would get the floors re-order and come back to fix....never happen. After expressing my disgust with the quality of work and the fact that about 3 inches of my stairs were cut out Manny came by to see it. After Manny comes out to see it and agrees the work is terrible, he tells my wife and I that they would fix the problem, which was the entire stairs. No one showed up for two weeks. The original installer returns without notice after I complained about the work he had done which was a tense situation. After notifying Eric (the laminate subcontractor foreman), he says the guy is an idiot and should have never came back to my house, which made my wife and I now feel uncomfortable. This was the last time we heard from anyone and we were never contacted about the completion of the job which was May 5th. Being that this company had done work for us before, they had a previous credit card on file, different from the one we gave our initial payment with to start this project. On July 13th, my wife and I get a charge on that account for the remainder for the job that we're still waiting to be finished. What a shady slimy company. I purposely blocked the credit card used for the initial down payment from any new charges because I had a feeling they would try to charge the amount without completing the job. You would think a company would call the customer after 2 months to say they were having a problem charging the card, but of course they didn't because they knew I wouldn't approve the final charge, so they fraudulently charged another card I had on file. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and when my wife called the office Mary had the audacity to have an attitude. Needless to say companies like this make it very hard to be cordial and respectful, they only understand being cussed out and customers having to use profanity with them. So now some Project Manager Ryan is suppose to call me to go over everything that needs to be done...Ill report when I hear from him...oh yea and these jokers charged me $2.19sq. ft instead of $1.89 which I paid previously for the same wood. Hopefully I do not have to report this to the contractors board and/or consumer affairs. I saw the poor reviews from before and I still made the decision to move forward with them, primarily because the other company couldn't get the particular laminate I wanted. The first 2 jobs Nulook did for me was good, but they got bad on this last project...I am more angry that no one reached out to make sure everything was good, they were literally just going to assume it was and charge my card...while I was left to deal with the subcontractors they hired to get things resolved...reviews are everything...read them! read more

Mr. Apollo Liu, you have clearly been given incorrect information as your statements are false. You are right that you are not on the same page with me, your installer or the handyman that your staff recommended to me. Fact: your company installed the Plinths. Given that you don't know your guys installed the Plinths is proof that you're not on the same page. The pictures don't lie. Fact: your installer initially removed the work that the handyman installed. My friend, who is also a co-owner of the property, simply finished what your installer started, which was to remove the remainder of the work because, as you stated, you would not guarantee it. The fact I wasn't charged for the work is proof that it wasn't me that removed it. Fact: your flooring is coming undone as shown and your Yelp reply did not address this issue. After 4 phone calls and 3 weeks later, the installer returned and said he was not authorized to fix the floor. He did not bring any baseboard with him either and only offered to caulk. He said a supervisor would contact me, but no one ever did. Fact: you wrote in your Yelp reply that paint was not covered. I agree and have never complained about paint. Perhaps you were confusing me up with another customer's complaint. Fact: My cell phone records show 15 calls with your company since May 1st and 4 with your installer, plus more with the handyman your company suggested to me. Like you, and probably many of your customers, I am also very busy and waited until my day off on July 4 to post my review. Fact: My final communication to you was on June 24 via your website where I put in writing that if I don't hear from your company, then I am going to post a Yelp review with pictures plus contact the BBB. After 10 days with no reply, I kept my word. The BBB will be contacting you next. As I stated in the email, I am done making phone calls just so you can be sure that you don't "leave behind bad work". You also have my cell phone number and the phone works both ways. read more

I chose a flooring company based on their Yelp reviews but their selection of the tile I wanted was limited and I didn't want to use one company for tile and one for laminate flooring. So I visited Nulook based on a good friend's recommendation whom I knew had done her research so I can't speak too much to competitive pricing but based on the size of the job, I got what I paid for. I had two weeks to get my newly purchased 1,400 square foot townhome ready for move in including some demo, painting (By the way, if you need a good painter, Miguell's Team is incredible: 702.415.1202) from top to bottom and flooring throughout:. Nulook has a great selection and I was able to meander their showroom as much as I needed. They are very busy there but I always got the attention and help I needed. Manny was great! He listened to my comments about the options and suggested a great design, a laminate that has three sizes of planks. It's interesting and has depth and I love it. I had it installed throughout the entire townhouse except the wet areas (kitchen and baths). The laminate can go homey country or warm and sophisticated with a taller base board which is what I went with. They also did the stairs exactly like I wanted. Who knew replacing all the carpet with rich, durable laminate could elevate the place so nicely! The Nulook installers are fast. (They were also great about complying with the specific parking restrictions in my community.) Once the supplies were ordered and delivered, it took about three days to complete. Make sure you give them the info they need to keep their momentum. Have your sections made (grout color, base board, etc.) so not to hold them up and remember, they don't do plumbing or painting. I've lived with my new flooring for over three months now and I don't see any imperfections in the installation. I'm really happy with everything. In fact, I'll be heading back to Nulook when I'm ready for my kitchen backsplash and counter top replacement. Again, I had no time for error and Nulook came through with flying colors. My husband and I searched at least three places when we stumbled upon Nulook. We went to their showroom and immediately knew that this was the place. We planned on changing out the flooring for our whole house. Tile downstairs, laminate in the master, carpet for everything else. Nulook has a great selection and there wasn't anyone hounding or pressuring us for anything. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of people available, and everyone let us know that they were there should be have any questions. We did of course have a list of questions once we narrowed our options down. Our eyes were bigger than our pockets and the team helped us find similar options in our price range. Once we decided on our selection, the process of getting our place measured and materials ordered was quick and simple. Apollo came and measured that day, and we had the tile installed the following weekend. The installers were very professional and worked their you know whats off. The tile came out better than expected. We have two little dogs and they were super-accommodating so we could let them out to do their business. The tile was done over the weekend and the laminate and carpet were done the following weekend. We couldn't have been happier with their pricing, selection, installation, and most importantly their professionalism. We would recommend them to anyone in town - hands down. My husband and I recently purchased a new home and wanted to get the flooring done before we moved in. Nulook was highly recommended. The staff at Nulook was very tentative, and knowledgeable about flooring. As a first time home buyer, I had a lot of questions, so it was so great to work with Apollo, who provided thorough and timely responses, especially with me being in a different state. We chose engineered wood by Max Windsor in Coppermine for the downstairs and carpet upstairs. They did an amazing job and completed the project within a week, which was perfectly on time before we moved in with all our furniture. The new flooring adds a modern feel to our new home now. The absolute WORST experience we have ever had with carpet and we have put new carpet in four homes! We bought new carpet and pad, paid extra for thicker pad in April 2016. They installed a basic pad; felt like walking on concrete They had to come back and rip up all the carpet and install the extra thick pad. Carpet started to buckle in every room, including hallway. They came back to stretch three additional times. Holly made me pay for a trip charge, $97.00 the last time. The lip service and horrible customer service from her must have been free. She is a horrible person to have speak to customers; rude, condescending, and unprofessional. Up until now we had spoke to Manny - he is amazing! They called the manufacturer and tried to pass it off as inferior carpet, the manufacturer representative said, "nope." The company that reps the manufacturer told my husband they stretched it the wrong way. They came for the Last time (their words), took all the furniture out of the rooms for the first time, stretched again. The bedrooms seem to be fine, the hallway and entrance to bedrooms, buckling. Again. Ugh. I called and left a message, Holly returned my phone call ( said that Apollo refused to speak to me) Holly says she doesn't know what we are doing with our less than two year old carpet that we paid over $3,000 for; we could be using the "wrong vacuum, over cleaning, it's to hot in our house, or...wait for it...it's to wet." Yes, folks these people are carpet installers and sell carpet. Holly told me they will NOT continue to keep stretching my carpet, she also told me this has NEVER happened. Nevertheless, Holly was her usual disrespectful self, cannot believe they let her speak to customers she is a awful human. There is a special place in carpet karma for her. Ick. Stay tuned, I just filed in Small Claims court, cannot wait for this ridiculous scenario to be finished. read more

They have a big variety of different materials.I wanted a certain type of baseboard that they didn't have in stock and Apollo helped me order it and they got it in for me. Manny, Shannon, & the team did an excellent job replacing the counter tops in my bathrooms. I was able to find two remnant pieces large enough to do both bathrooms at a good price. The quartz material and pattern was exactly what I was looking for. From demolition to fabrication to installation and plumbing, it was all professional and good! Most of the flooring stores I go to are either not very knowledgeable or the material or over priced, I was shopping around for my kitchen counter top and these nulook guys quote me within my budget and better material than I expected from the beginning, they have done 3 jobs for me and took care me while making the best selection (color matching /style of my house) of counter top and flooring, I also recommended 3 of my other friends and their very happy with their renovation they got from these guys!
