We had a leak in our upstairs master bathroom and decided to do a full remodel. After receiving several quotes, we went with Summit Valley Tile & Stone. From our first meeting through the completion of the project, we were very impressed with William. As the owner, he was here every day working. My wife and I tend to be a bit picky and wanted someone who has a high attention to detail. We were extremely pleased with William and Summit Valley Tile & Stone. We werr extremely pleased with the completed floor, shower, and tile wall surround as well as the bathroom vanity, fixtures, mirror, and light installation. Since our new vanity had different sink positions and we wanted two light fixtures as opposed to the one we had, William had to redo plumbing as well as electrical wiring. The vent pipe was in the way of the new electrical junction box location and William handled the situation and rerouted it without any additional cost. His price quote was not the cheapest, but the quality of his work and the fact that he was on site every day doing the work made the difference. William and his son Matthew did a fabulous job on my shower. It has really been a complete transformation. I had high expectations, because I can tend to be finicky--this is top quality work from top quality people. You can trust them to be at your house while you're away (which had to happen multiple times) and even when I was home while they were working, I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. William constantly checked in on his progress so I knew exactly what to expect and when to expect it. He made sure to go the extra mile by laying a drop cloth down every day and even taped paper down on our hardwood floors to keep it extra clean. Thanks guys! Looks really slick! read more

In full disclosure we did not use these guys to perform the tile work on our bathroom. We only got to the point that we signed a contract with them to do the work. Their original quote had left several items off the original contract and we pointed that out to them. The gentleman apologized and resent the quote for an additional roughly $2000 and change. I signed the contract and sent it back and someone called my wife looking to collect a deposit. When she told them she would be paying with a credit card (to get the points) they said the cost would go up an additional 3.5%. This is an illegal process. Contractors must notify you of fees BEFORE the point of entry (submission and signing of the contract). Because of the inconsistencies and our point of contacts demeanor of "It sucks to be you", we have canceled the contract. They seem to know what they are doing where it concerns tile setting, but are either ignorant or crooked when handling the finances. William is an outstanding tile professional and just a nice person in general. He did all of the tile work in our master bathroom remodel and did an amazing job. He's OCD about all the details and charges a fair price. Good luck scheduling him, though, because he's booked months in advance. That said, I'd recommend waiting because he's worth it. To give you an idea of our trust level with him, we left him alone in the house because we had to go to our son's high school graduation and he literally locked up the house and closed the garage door for us when he left. Our bathroom looks perfect and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommended!!! read more

Finding a good construction crew in Las Vegas is really hit or miss. There are those who don't show at all, or those who show up late, or when it's convenient to their schedule. There are those who profess to being fully qualified to do everything and have clearly lied about it, seeming to know very little, yet still trying to fake their way through. There are those who do just enough to get by, cut corners and produce shoddy work - but every once in awhile you find a diamond in the dust; craftsmen of such skill and capability, you have to stand back and thank your lucky stars you were given a chance to work with them. Perhaps the finest construction team I have worked with in my 40 years in Las Vegas is Summit Valley Tile & Stone LLC. Comprised of William Pino, owner and manager, and his very capable son, Matthew, finding these guys are like winning the tri-fecta. They show up on time, are neat, considerate and friendly, a joy to work with and their skills are superlative. Truly two fine craftsmen dedicated to producing an excellent product. What they have done with my room addition is almost magical - just beautiful. These were very difficult tile jobs using glass mosaics, Talaveras diamonds and saltillo tile, arched ceilings, faux waterfalls...and there was nothing they could not handle. If there was a problem, they found a way to correct it. These guys are fantastic!
